Two anti-abortion groups, Missouri Right to Life, and the Family Research Council Action have launched ads on election eve which claim that Barack Obama supports infanticide, and he wants to overturn the ban on partial birth abortion.
The Missouri Right to Life ad is an excerpt from a longer video, which makes the claim that Obama supports infanticide.
Here is the video:
Here is the Family Research Council Action ad which claims that Obama wants to kill babies, by rolling back the ban on partial birth abortions:
It doesn’t seem to matter to these groups that their ad claims aren’t true. Obama is in favor of the partial birth abortion ban. Here is what he said about it during an April 27, 2008 interview on Fox News Sunday, “On an issue like partial birth abortion, I strongly believe that the state can properly restrict late-term abortions. I have said so repeatedly. All I've said is we should have a provision to protect the health of the mother, and many of the bills that came before me didn't have that.”
This is nothing more than the typical Republican scare out the vote effort. The Missouri Right to Life ad is running so late because the candidates are in a close race there. These ads aren’t meant to persuade anyone who is on the fence. Their intention is to rally social conservatives to show up at the polls tomorrow and vote.
All in all, I don’t think it matters if the social conservatives come out for McCain. He is probably going to get swept under a tidal wave of new and angry voters, but this won’t stop the GOP from distorting Obama’s record through the bitter end.

it ain't ending...
Cheney's endorsement was a clear sign the neo-cons are setting McCain up to lose. Once Obama is president, he will be the target of these attacks and more. if obama's grassroots base doesn't activate to push his agenda locally and nationally, than I fear a continuous disillusionment of Obama's base where a Palin campaign in 2012 will have possible success.
You frazzled hippies just
You frazzled hippies just aren't any different than Nazis and Baby Killers yourself for sure for sure, a baby survives abortion and Bama votes that it can be left in a room to die on it's own.
Those ads just say it like it is, O'Beautiful and you all by your complacency are baby killers.
What hypocrit the guy is running around with his daughter.
And more doped up logic that Sarah is done, but what do you expect from your genocidal minds.
Tim, I agree
The GOP is likely to rebuild itself around its socially conservative base, so if anything, they are going to get more extreme and radical. As far as Palin goes, unless she can find a way to attract conservative Democrats and Independents, she is done.
