Olbermann Tells Glenn Beck and His 9/12ers to Go To Hell

November 3, 2009
By

While doing the Worst Persons segment on his MSNBC show Countdown tonight host Keith Olbermann took aim at Glenn Beck for his comparison of healthcare reform to 9/11. Obermann said, “In short, Glenn, 9/12ers if you are invoking 9/11 just to oppose healthcare reform, go to hell.” Check out the video.

Here is Beck making the comparison between healthcare reform and 9/11:

Here is Olbermann’s reply:

Olbermann said, “Beck..shark …jump. You and the 9/12ers have the nerve to exploit 9/11 for your lousy TV ratings. You can not make light of 9/11, nor bandy about as if your petty political grievances are comparable to it, and still be an actual patriotic American. In short, Glenn, 9/12ers, if you are invoking 9/11 just to oppose healthcare reform, go to hell.”

Olbermann really nailed this one. There are a million different ways to oppose healthcare reform without invoking 9/11, but Beck had to go there. Beck made a cheap, insensitive, and clueless comparison, but this really isn’t any different from what we hear out of him on a daily basis.

Although, I do disagree with Olbermann that this was Beck’s jump the shark moment. I think that Beck jumped the shark when he called Barack Obama a racist. Beck and his 9/12ers are living in a fantasy world if they really believe that healthcare reform is the same as terrorism. Beck and his followers talk about freedom, but are only interested in taking away the freedom of everyone else for their own benefit.

I think I am in love with Keith, he is always so right about everything. I surely am glad there are still some humans left in this country who can see things as they are.

He has a small but consistent audience, who haven’t been able to keep his program from losing money since the sponsors who matter fled Beck.

No sponsors, no money, no matter how many people watch. And of course then there is that little problem of the demographics.

Are you someone that advertisers consider a prime viewer, one of the people they really really want to see their commercials? I’m thinking, probably not. Look at who is left among the advertisers……….ew. Sad.

If you listen to someone other than Fox misintrepret the news network not only would you know who Keith Olberman is but you would also get a positive perspective on today’s news. As far as the misconception about Fox news being a ratings leader. The only research on this by Fox news comes as a result of a poll Fox and Friends are still raving over that took place in September 2008.

So are you trying to say that Glenn Beck doesn’t matter? Are you saying his listeners or watchers are irrelevant?
It seems to me that Olberman is far less relevant that Glenn beck ever dreamed of being.
Whether you agree with him or not, Glenn Beck and his staff do amazing research. I would like to see you dispute anything he says, WITH FACTS. It is quite clear that Fox is the only news station that is not an unofficial press agent for our current administration. This fact alone means that the other stations will take issue with ANYTHING they talk about.
That is unless it is cleared by their boss, President Obama.

No they DON’T. What a load of codswollop!

Just look at all the bullshit Beck got wrong when he was talking about the artwork on Rockefeller Center. His ‘facs’ were a huge joke – on HIM.

Are you nuts? Do you believe the earth is flat? I’m sure Glenn Beck and his crack research team will be asserting that ‘fact’ sooner or later. It’s one of the few bits of nonsense he hasn’t spewed.
