Palin Challenges Obama On The Economy

June 4, 2009
By

In a speech in Anchorage today, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin claimed that Obama is trying to control the American people through deficit spending. The irony here is that she ranted against deficit spending while introducing Michael Reagan, who is the son of the king of all deficit spending, former president Ronald Reagan.

According to CNN, Palin said, “We need to be aware of the creation of a fearful population, and fearful lawmakers, being led to believe that big government is the answer, to bail out the private sector, because then government gets to get in there and control it, and mark my words, this is going to be next, I fear, bail out next debt-ridden states. Then government gets to get in there and control the people.”

She continued, “Some in Washington would approach our economic woes in ways that absolutely defy Economics 101, and they fly in the face of principles, providing opportunity for industrious Americans to succeed or to fail on their own accord. Those principles it makes you wonder what the heck some in Washington are trying to accomplish here.”

She also explained why deficit spending is a bad idea, Since when can you get out of huge national debt by creating trillions of dollars of new debt? It all really is so backwards and skewed as to sound like absolute nonsense when some of this economic policy is explained.” For good measure, she also threw in a, we are fighting the terrorists there, so that we don’t have to fight them here line.

Does anyone believe that Palin knows anything about the economy? The juicy irony of it all is that she ranted against deficit spending in front of Michael Reagan. Remember that Ronald Reagan tripled the federal deficit in the 1980’s through deficit spending, caused by a combination of tax cuts and increased military spending. (This is also the same disastrous plan that was followed by George W. Bush).

Palin, a.k.a. Herbert Hoover on a snow machine, is advocating that we cut spending in a recession. This statement alone should make it clear to all that this woman is not capable of dealing with the economy. While trying to show her economic chops, all Palin did was prove that she is in way over her head when it comes to the economy. If Palin thinks she is going to win the presidency in 2012 with a deficit spending argument, she is going to be in for a big surprise.

Palin knows a lot about the economy since she is the governor of a state, and has operated a small business. I’d say those are pretty good credentials. You, on the other hand, have chosen to take the snippits of a 20 minutes speech, that you found on CNN, and obviously did not bother to try to find either a transcript of the speech, or a recording of the speech. In other words, you are a jerk.

Palin is a joke who knows nothing about the economy. I thought she proved this during the 2008 campaign. She is the governor of one of the smallest states in the nation, and what is this small business you are speaking of? Mitt Romney has better economic credentials than she ever will. Thanks for calling me a jerk. I know that I am doing something right, when people like you think I am wrong. I hate using snippets of speech. I searched for the transcript, but couldn’t find one.

I agree with the other poster. Palin knows nothing about the economy and I don’t care whether she’s the governor or not. Most of us do not need to peruse a transcript of the speech she gave because those were not her thoughts since she has none. She is totally clueless as are the flock of sheep that follow her.

Poor Sarah…the Republican Party all but blamed her for McSame’s devastating loss, and threw her under the bus. McLame’s own campaign staffers turned against her. What’s even funnier, is how the pundits keep trying to talk her up, while the Party calls her “she who will not be named.” Newt dissed her, and even McGeezer dissed her when they were talking about good candidates for the next election, by not mentioning her name among the viable candidates. I’m pretty soory that the Republican Party may self-destruct, before they get one more azz whuppin’ by Obama in 2012. ROTFLMAO!

Obama REALLY gives a ratz azz about what this redneck says about his policies. She must have been studying pretty hard (as well as she can) to prepare this speech. She has no clue about the economy, foreign policy, or for that matter anything else. She can’t even control her children. In reading several blogs praising this idiot and her cohorts, Hammity, O’Biley, and Limberger, I’m noticing the same, dumb azz, trash talking, right wingnuts in the campaign. Keep up the good work Palin. You’re handing Obama the 2012 election on a GOLD platter. LMAO!

    P.S. I SEE DUMB PEOPLE!!!!!
