FNC’s Chris Wallace was on Don Imus’ show this morning promoting the debut of Sarah Palin on Fox News Sunday. Imus asked Wallace if Palin was going to sit on his lap. He replied, “One can only hope.” Fox News is the only network where a woman can go from being a sitting governor to giving lap dances.

Wallace said, “We’re going to be down in Nashville with her at the National Tea Party Convention, and I’m excited. First of all, I’m excited to finally meet and interview Sarah Palin. We’ve been interviewing her like Captain Ahab and the great white whale for the last year and a half.” Imus asked, “When you interview her, will she be sitting on your lap?” Wallace answered, “One can only hope.”
Way to promote, your newest acquisition, Fox News. What’s next, Palin topless on Hannity? Maybe they will get viewers to dial their 1-900 number and pay $4.99 a minute to hear Palin talk dirty to them?
Palin herself is to blame for embracing and fostering the image of herself as every middle aged white Republican man’s wet dream, but there was no need for Chris Wallace to go there. If Sarah Palin isn’t taken seriously by the conservatives on Fox News, then how can anyone expect her to be taken seriously as a presidential candidate?
The bottom line is that Palin cultivated this image on her own. She could have broken out of it by demonstrating any sort of competence or intellect on policy. Instead, she took the easy way out and the fast buck. She is nothing more than eye candy for old white guys like Chris Wallace to ogle.
I don’t think Palin is to blame for being a Republican man’s fantasy or dream girl. What she does & how she is…really is not an act. If she were acting…then and only then…would she be to blame for anyone being sexist. I have yet to see FOX news apologize for the sexism. While I am not a fan of Palin’s, I am baffled that even FOX treats her poorly. It’s true that her unresearched remarks are usually lamentable at best – but Wallace should have used better judgment by not allowing sexism to slip by…especially on another person’s show. Not good at all… Although this isn’t the first time I’ve seen sexism associated with FOX…I think she’ll fare far better if she starts to read newspapers, magazines from “think” tanks other than her own. – Marina Gipps

How should they treat her? Even they can tell she is an idiot. They HIRED her as eye candy for the Viagra crowd …. Wallace’s comment reflects his ‘respect’ for her as a woman.
Do you think FOX would hire her for her ‘views’ if she looked like …. say …… Rosanne?
FOX treats all women as eye candy. The few smart women on there dumb themselves down .. look at how Rush talked to Gretchen What’s-her-name. She is highly educated, yet she acts like an airhead, and sat there while Rush insulted her and all women to her face.
And yes, Sarah DOES behave like a sex object, she has nothing else to offer.

That is what she ran on, as it’s all she has. Fox is using it for all it’s worth, before she hits her “expiration date”. The women on Fox are treated and used as objects, which is why Fox requires them to get plastic surgery, fake tans, fake teeth, etc. Poor Greta Van Scientology had to get her entire face redone when she moved from another network to Fox. Their AUDIENCE is angry white men. It’s no mistake that they use eye candy to sell rage.
I personally do not approve of that sort of media standard, but then, I also don’t vote for ovaries or skin color.
Furthermore, I wouldn’t approve of any candidate who so cynically picked his running mate based on her looks without vetting her — thereby foisting on the American public the most dangerous candidate possibly in the history of this country. Because underneath the pretty face is a dangerous extremist who isn’t allowed to read anything her husband doesn’t approve first. A person who thinks dinosaurs walked the earth a few years ago. A person who thinks the VP runs the senate and who claimed that she wanted to be President so that the “dept of law” could go after her enemies.

Wallace riding his daddy’s coattails, nary an ounce of personality, guts nor looks,
Imus, the goofy spin off who’s sexist, lowlife remarks cost him almost everything,
and last and definitely least, Palin, who cannot even tell Katie Couric what she likes to read! And the “I can see Russia from my house” bit, OMG! Oh wait,
That was Tina Fey, I LIKE her!
