    The points covered in the post outlining the pros and cons of Biden as VP pretty much explain why I feel this way.

    Biden is an OK guy, but Obama needs someone that fills in the gaps, so to speak. He needs someone, in other words, that is not vulnerable to the normal complaints about Obama, especially lack of executive experience.

    Do you think McCain will go with Romney?

    For the same reasons that you mentioned about Obama, I think McCain is going to go with Mitt Romney. McCain needs somebody who can raise money and put a blue state into play. Romney does both for him. Romney is a terrible choice, really, but McCain doesn’t have much to choose from.

    Biden is a solid if not flashy choice. As long as they can keep him under control, Biden can be a good attack dog. For strictly policy, I prefer Richardson, but they might not want to throw away all of the white male vote, which is why Biden may get the nod.
