Glenn Beck Attacks Ed Schultz for Being an Advocate Not a Journalist
The hypocrisy meter nearly exploded today when on his radio show Glenn Beck attacked MSNBC’s Ed Schultz for engaging in political advocacy instead of journalism. Beck claimed that nobody is watching Ed Schultz because he supports Obama, “Maybe people aren’t watching you because, ‘you busted your ass for Obama.’ That’s not journalism. That’s advocacy.” Continue reading

Conservative Judicial Activism Runs Wild In the Case of Hillary the Movie
A perfect example of genuine judicial activism, look no further than the case of Hillary – the Movie, officially known as Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, only instead of so-called liberal activists, this merely represents the most recent example of blatant activism committed by the ultraconservative five-justice majority of the United States Supreme Court. Continue reading

The Moral Imperative of Full Coverage for All Americans
Rev. Wallis also said we need to stop the hate at the Town Halls, and pointedly mentioned that lying about the plan is not right either. He quoted the bible, “I am my brother’s keeper”, and translated that to mean that we have a moral imperative to do the right thing, which is to take care of our fellow Americans, otherwise known as “all God’s Children”. Gee, this is the first I’ve heard that all of us count as God’s Children. This is news. Good news. Even the cities? I suppose so, because the Reverend didn’t try to divide American by region the way Republican haters like Palin and Bachmann have done. Continue reading
The Silly Bully Boys of the U.S. Senate
As last week dragged on, the silly bully boys of the U.S. Senate, seemingly without a clue, made an unwitting and witless spectacle of themselves with their brain-dead, slightly demented, endlessly looped and loopy questioning of Judge Sonia Sotomayor. Continue reading
Pat Buchanan: Sotomayor was Picked Because She is a Passionate Latino Woman
MSNBC’s Pat Buchanan was on The McLaughlin Group where he continued to attack Sonia Sotomayor. Buchanan wondered why she didn’t defend the wise Latina comment. He also said that Sotomayor was picked because, “she is a passionate Latino woman who is a liberal.” The racism continues from Uncle Pat. Continue reading
Bill Maher Takes on Reverse Racism and the Sotomayor Hearings
Comedian Bill Maher was on MSNBC’s Hardball tonight, where he offered his unique take on the Sonia Sotomayor hearings, “All these white people, especially white men who are so incensed about reverse racism and Sotomayor because the problem for too long is Puerto Rican women have had their boot on the neck of white men.” Check out the video. Continue reading
Limbaugh: The Supreme Court Found that Sotomayor is a Racist
On The Rush Limbaugh Show, host Rush Limbaugh claimed that today’s 5-4 ruling on the Ricci case in the US Supreme Court was really a 9-0 decision. Limbaugh claimed that Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s dissent criticized Sotomayor, when, she is not even mentioned in the dissent. He also said that the Court found that Sotomayor is a racist. Once again, Rush is inventing facts. Continue reading
George H.W. Bush Condemns the Radical Attacks on Sotomayor
In an interview with CNN Headline News anchor Robin Meade today, former president George H.W. Bush condemned the attacks by Rush Limbaugh and Newt Gingrich on Obama Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor. Bush said, “It doesn’t help the process to be out there name-calling.” Continue reading
Gingrich Labels Sotomayor a Radical, Not a Racist
Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich was on CBS’ Face the Nation today, and he continued to back of the failed Republican talking point that Obama Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor is a racist. Gingrich said, “It’s clear that what she said was racist, and it’s clear — or as somebody wrote recently, “racialist” if you prefer.” Continue reading
