Mitch McConnell Refuses to Say that Obama is Not a Muslim

Mitch McConnell added fuel to the Obama is Muslim lie today on NBC’s Meet The Press when he was asked if Obama was a Muslim, and instead of strongly debunking this misinformation he said, “The President says he’s a Christian. I take him at his word.” Continue reading

The Tea Party’s Support of Republicans’ Most Corrupt Bastards

The sixth tenet of the Tea Party is to end corruption and yet they’ve aligned themselves with the most corrupt party. Corruption spreads on both sides of the aisle. Of late, it’s made a happy home in the Republican Party simply because like mold, corruption takes root in the right environment. The modern day Republican Party is loath to hold its leaders accountable for violating ethics laws. The list of busted criminals and cheats currently in office is astounding. Continue reading

The Selling of our Democracy:How AT&T Owns Harry Reid, Mitch McConnell, and John Boehner

You may think that Harry Reid, Mitch McConnell, and John Boehner would have very little in common, but in the chummy world of corporate special interest politics, all three of them share a top benefactor. According to an investigation by the Center for Public Integrity the top backer of the careers of all three politicians was telecom giant AT&T, but beyond ideology these three share a special interest money bond. Senator Claire McCaskill tried to force them to own up to their holds this week. Continue reading

The Media Carries The GOP’s Water With the Govt is Broken Narrative

Democrats are ultimately responsible for solving the problem of the gridlock. But Democrats can’t force Republicans to work together to solve the country’s problems, and frankly, this meme only reinforces the illogical idea the Democrats have power over Republicans. Blaming Democrat for GOP obstructionism is ridiculous. That’s like blaming a domestic violence victim for the abuser’s behavior. Democrats have control over their own behavior, and their only choice right now is to overcome the GOP obstructionism using any legal means necessary. Continue reading
