It would work? You do realize that we consume over 20.6 million barrels of oil a day? Estimates are that ANWR contains 4-11 billion barrels of oil. The US uses over 600 million barrels of oil a month. That means that the oil in ANWR would last for 6-15 months. If the oil companies only sold the oil to the US, which they don't have to do.
