Calling Khalid an extremist is a mischaracterisation. Khalid is a reknowned academic who has expressed concern over Israel's policies towards Palestine, as many academics do. He's only an extremist in the eyes of people who say Israel can do no wrong.

This idea that Obama knows somebody, therefore he is in the tank with them is rather frightening. I know a lot of people. I work in a corrupt city and some of the people I work with have been corrupt people. This idea that I am guilty by association is a scary prospect, and trust me it is not a standard that you want to apply to John McCain. If I went out and dug up everybody that McCain once worked with, he would be looking fairly sick right now.
