The Huffington Post ran a piece today which claimed that Barack Obama’s record on openness and transparency was worse than that of George W. Bush. However, some deeper research shows that there is more to the story than the Huff Po piece described. Obama is doing battle with a bureaucracy that has dug in its heels and has resisted and in some cases refused to implement his new Freedom of Information Act policies.
