Liberals tend to apologize for their outbursts. We even apologize for defending ourselves against some very unreasonable attacks from Republicans. Conservatives know that and like any form of predator take full advantage. Almost every time you see a liberal blast a conservative figure or activity, some conservative will announce they are outraged by the allegations or lack of civility and next thing you know, the liberal is apologizing and the conservative is smiling smugly for getting away with another one.
Our political discourse has been shaped by these types of exchanges for a decade. It has to change, and it seems to be changing, since the popular revolutions in Wisconsin and Michigan, and even nationally, to judge from recent outbursts by members of the Congressional Black Caucus. California Rep. Howard Dean set the stage on Face the Nation in early August by saying, “I think this is a tea party problem, I think they are totally unreasonable, and doctrinaire and not founded in reality, I think they’ve been smoking some of that tea and not just drinking it…”
But Maxine Waters took the Tea Party critique to a whole new level by announcing that “the tea party can go straight to hell!”
I know I wasn’t alone in cheering this courageous woman for saying what millions of us are thinking and looking forward to expressing in 2012.
Polls show that Americans increasingly agree with this sentiment, including a Pew poll from April of this year which reveals declining approval even among Republicans. Indeed, Tea Partiers are the only ones who show no awareness that as a movement of any substance they’re living on borrowed time.
This reversal in Tea Party fortunes is a positive trend and it has been too long coming. It is unfortunate that we had to let them bring the us to the brink of ruin before America woke up to the threat and began to do what was necessary.
For years now we have been listening to vitriol from conservatives and far from blasting them back, failing even to defend ourselves. The Tea Party IS the enemy, or at least, one head of a two-sided beast, the other being fundamentalist Christianity, with the two more closely affiliated than most Americans may realize. We can’t be afraid to name the enemy (conservatives are certainly free with their own attacks and nary an apology to be seen) – we can’t fight back if we can’t identify who we are fighting against. Nor should we feel any need or obligation to apologize for telling the truth.
Rep. Andre Carson, D- Indiana is one of those Congressional Black Caucus members who has blasted the Tea Party for its racism and has refused to apologize, and I commend him for it.
“I stand on the truth of what I spoke,” he said. “My intentions weren’t to hurt anyone or any group. I wanted to speak to the issues that concern me and the philosophical issues that concern me as it relates to certain leadership within the tea party organization, not the entire tea party, but certain elements that have concerned me deeply and for quite some time that I think should really re-evaluate what it means to be an American and we shouldn’t go along the path of taking America back to the ‘good old days’ because those days were not good for everyone.”
I do take issue with one of his statements, however, as being factually incorrect. He says “I think the tea party is absolutely right when they call for increased transparency in government.” I ask you t show me even one example of increased government transparency in any state now in thrall to the Tea Party.
The Tea Party has proven itself the antithesis of transparency, banning First Amendment rights to Americans, passing legislation illegally, and banning Democracy through Republican martial law. Like all totalitarians, the Tea Party likes to do its dirty business behind closed doors and then present us with a fait accompli. No debate and far less any public debate. They decide, and then they tell us what they decided. No questions asked, none, because questions aren’t permitted. You’re more likely to be beat up or arrested than you are to get an answer.
The Tea Party has proven itself the enemy again and again since 2008 and the events from 2010 onward can leave Americans in no doubt as to the Tea Party’s ultimate goal for America. We are being told that being anything but white is un-American; being non-Christian is un-American; supporting workers rights is un-American; demanding the rich pay their fair share is un-American; government regulations of rapacious corporations is un-American; women and minorities – even Democrats! - voting is un-American. Indeed, the First Amendment and the Constitution itself (excepting the Tenth Amendment) is seen as un-American, even though Tea Partiers and their champions are completely ignorant with regards to the Tenth Amendment’s true meaning.
Democrats have to speak out, speak loudly, and we need more denunciations, not less, and no apologies. People used to quip, “Be like Mike”. The new cry ought to be, “Be like Maxine”.
Speak up while you can, America, because if they win in 2012, you won’t have that right any longer – or any others. Tea Party Totalitarianism is coming to a community near you, and it might very likely be your own.

It just boggles my mind when I point out the racism of the Tea Party, and get “WE’RE NOT RACIST OMG HOW DARE YOU!!!” in response–along with the usual “some of my best friends are…” lines.
If the Tea Party isn’t racist, I’m the King of Siam.
Interesting that their were only two new black congressman elected in 2010, Alan West and Tim Scott. Both were Republican and both were supported by the Tea Party.
Token blacks. Are you from this planet to actually make the claim the Democratic Party is not the chosen party of minorities, and they prefer the Tea Party? And offer your 2 blacks as evidence? You are just another liar, from the party of lies. You are a simple liar.
Interesting that, in addition to Scott and West, there are 5 black Democrat freshmen in Congress: Karen Bass CA, Hansen Clark MI, Cedric Richmond LA, Terri Sewell AL and Frederica Wilson FL. http://baic.house.gov/historical-data/representatives-senators-by-congress.html?congress=112
I do believe that makes your “their were only two new black congressman elected in 2010″ both grammatically and factually wrong.
Allen West isn’t black. He is an alien from the planet Cellophane because he is perfectly clear.
Indeed, they ARE racist, and not even the presence of either Allen West or Herman Caine alters that reality. Their racism is only a part of the larger picture of their totaliarian and virulently reactionary beliefs and policies which are adversarial to everyone but wealthy, white, Christian, and conservative males. Women, racial/religious minorities, workers, the middle class, veterans, and the poor who vote for them are the very people they want to trample on, and it’s long past time to call them just for what they are with no apologies necessary.
Hilarious, the left vilifies Palin and Bachmann who are both Tea Party favorites yet it’s the TP that hates women? Only two new black congressman were elected in 2010, Alan West & Tim Scott (the first black congressman from SC since nearly forever), both backed by the Tea Party but the Tea Party hates blacks. Herman Cain is called an Uncle Tom by the left because he is supported by the Tea Party and once again, it’s the TP that is called racist. The recent comments of members of the black caucus were hate filled and racist and yet it’s the left that is calling for social discourse. What bizarro world are you living in?
Max, which party is passing laws against the womans right of choice? do you approve of women being arrested for having a miscarriage?
It does NOT matter whether they have blacks like West and Cain, or women like Palin and Bachmann. The “diversity” is only cosmetic, since they all echo the same lines from the same tired playbook. Palin and Bachmann are clueless bimbos who get flak because of their stupidity and maliciousness. If you seriously think that misgivings about these women, especially Palin, are confined to liberals, then you haven’t been paying attention. There are conservative women who also view both of them as an embarrassment to the female sex.
Yes, the TP policies are anti-woman because some of the TP governors are trying to defund Planned Parenthood, whose services are mainly non-abortion like breast and cervical cancer screenings; pre-natal care, counseling for pregnant women, and assistance for rape victims. Those services, not abortion, are federally funded. Their abortion services, 3% of their overall services, are funded by private donors. The Tea Party also seems to dislike things like collective bargaining for workers, unemployment benefits for the jobless, and they don’t seem to have a problem with the exorbitant tax cuts for the wealthy which do nothing for our economy.
What it boils down to is that the Tea Party ideology is bad news, and the presence of women and minorities in their ranks does nothing to alter that reality.
It might be helpful for you to realize that feminism isn’t just about women’s rights. it’s about an egalitarian society and equal rights for all people. So, when you run a woman who stands for patriarchal values, you’re still running patriarchy.
You can take this concept and apply it to the other areas where you appear confused. For example, running a black or gay candidate does not make you automatically appeal to those segments of the population. Also, black people didn’t vote for Obama because he was black and you will see proof of this if Herman Cain gets anywhere near a public office.
You are delusional, and facts make no difference to you. You will learn in 2012.
A women does not have the biological right to get an abortion. Stop kidding yourselves, they do not have the right to murder their parents and neither do they have the right to murder their children. There IS morality, do not kid yourselves. You cannot have “Free choice” if it is infringing on someone else’s rights!
No one is asking for a right to murder children. We are talking about abortion. If your position is that the moment an egg is fertilized a child exists, I’d like to see some evidence for that. I’d also like to hear some rationale for why, when the mother’s life is in danger, the embryo’s life is more valuable than the mother’s. Nobody has a right to murder a mother. Nobody should have the right to force a child to carry a baby to term, or force a female of any age to give birth to the child of her rapist or a family member who is guilty of incest in getting her pregnant. So-called pro-lifers seem very anti-life to me at times.
Republicans love kids while they are in the womb.
Yet when it comes to helping educate and feed those who need help. Your on your own.
Do u believe in contraceptions sir? Or is all sperm sacred?
Both are yes or no
The Tea Partiers are for defunding Planned Parenthood and in some cases the very birth control that prevents the need for abortions. Their circular logic prevents them from seeing that less birth control means more children who have to survive with the very social programs the hard right abhors, especially public assistance. For them, life begins at conception and ends at birth.
No matter how much you believe and no matter how much you say abortion is murder, it’s really just your opinion.
“& Tim Scott (the first black congressman from SC since nearly forever)”?
unless you include 9 term Congressman from SC Jim Clyburn, one of the most prominent members of Democratic leadership in Congress.
Your other comments are equally uninformed.
indeed
I think the Tea Party is as huge a danger to our country and it’s Democracy as I could have ever imagined in my life, but you lose me if the corrupt, life~long politician Maxine Waters is “our” standard~bearer! Going to need someone a little more credible than that to be seen as anything other than a cranky fringe element!
we’re not democracy we’re a republic
HH,
Great column. The Teabaggers are RACISTS and BIGOTS on steroids. The election of Obama brought it all out in the open – this has been seething for 30 years. It started the before the election. When Obama was NOT ALLOWED the use of Blair House prior to his inauguration, there was no outcry DEMANDING the Rethugs tell whichever “dignitary” or “group of partiers” who had booked Blair House to change their location. The Rethugs knew there was to be a new POTUS and that person always stays at Blair House if they do not live in DC.
The Democrats and the MSM really need to use the word LIAR, all day, everyday and hit the Rethugs with FACTS – just like Cantor’s current screaming about EPA regs that are not in existence, yet along with every lie they spew every minute on cable news.
Get rid of these Rethug PIGS and their TEABAGGING BIGOTS.
Stupidity is not something America needs, that is one of the reasons Obama was elected. We need SMART and INTELLECTUAL, not Snowbilly Grifter, CrazeeChele stupidity and P-Rick corruption.
The gun BS makes me sick. I grew up in a family of hunters in Texas. Nobody talked about guns, carried guns, did anything with guns UNLESS it was hunting season and the guns were taken out, cleaned and maintained and once hunting season was over, they were put back and locked up until next year. Every year gun safety instructions were given to my brothers and the respect for the danger of firearms was at the forefront.
America(or those who pay attention) has seen what the tea thugs will do to our government. The quest for small government means an easily corrupted state by the very wealthy and/or those pushing for a theocratic government. I dont know iof the average tea thug on the street understands that. They havent caught onto the fact that states by themselves are easily taken over and the tea party members are not immune from the results of that. What happens when moneys taken from taxes in a state end up in a small groups or a religious bunch of idiots and roads are not maintained?
In other words, what they think they want is not what the leadership and creators of the tea party want.
Exactly like in Perry’s Texas…handing out state funding for political contributions, doing most of it behind closed doors…all to his and his backer’s benefit and to the great loss of the people of Texas. When the Texas state senate is needed for a vote, being almost all Republicans who owe Perry, the Governor gets his way. Perry is the corrupt dictator of Texas. (I have no idea how he is getting away with it.) Without the checks and balances of all states coming together to make laws that cover us as one nation, we would likely be separate countries (for all intents and purposes), each headed by the most ruthless pile climber. What a nightmare!
Everyone I’ve ever met who calls themself a tea party member seems so angry and on the edge of violence. I think the attitude among reasonable people has been to ignore them and they’ll go away, but I think we’re past that point.
And they’re well-armed and I don’t think they have any interest in going away
Somewhat true but…they may be well armed but your “average” well-rounded individual can probably out-do them, out-run them, wear them quickly because of their age, their poor health, poor eating and drinking habits, obvious lack of exercise, obvious lack of mental capacity to “humanize” internalize, dangerous health levels of anger and stress levels that are unmanageable to the point of them “imploding” so that they couldn’t shoot straight even if they wanted!
They will go away in numbers by the sheer fact that they can’t keep up with much of anything except putting a fork of fat laden pork to their mouth (which they run constantly). They’ll be locked up in nursing homes soon enough and we won’t hear much from them except on visiting days…the Klan will scoop up the young ones as their recruitment “clergy” are sharks smelling blood on the water.
The Tea Farce can claim they are not racist or bigots that fine, but what they cannot claim is that they are not Anti-American. You cannot say that a weak economy is good that is Anti-American. You cannot say that victims of a disaster need to help themselves, you do not want your tax dollars to help them in any way that is Anti-American. You cannot say the poor and disabled in this country need kick off of welfare because their families need to take care of them that is Anti-American. You cannot say we do not need to fix our infrastructure that is Anti-American. Everything they do everything they say is in fact Anti-American.
As long as Americans keep perpetuating white supremacy via white denial, reinforced by fear, we will continue to live with generations of bigots and racist.
It’s a vicious cycle that dominates the narrative of all conservative conversations controlled by the teabaggers and their promoters (the Heritage Foundation, Fox media…). The promoters “nurture” bigotry, massage the racist and coo little words of encouragement in their ear everyday. The racist, full of hate and anger are mere “Pavlov’s dogs” reacting to the fear of being “attacked” an enemy of color, gender or income bracket…any and everybody who isn’t one of them.
How to break this cycle? Education…and we all know what they want to do with education, so what’s left beside more escalation that eventually “pitches a ball” into a “christian martyrdom” home-run? They’re ichin’ fur a fyght!…one they will loose. Then, we rebuild…
education like in the gulogs
I can only concur that quiet disapproval time has long passed. It’s time to scream, denounce, insult, and then scream some more; anything to draw middle-America’s attention to Teabag/GOP devastation. America’s survival depends on it. Excellent Hraf. You read my mind again and I’m thrilled you did.
Thank you, Muse. Yes, we have to turn on the heat and keep it on through Election Day 2012. We have to call them out on each and every lie and never, ever apologize for telling the truth.
While many folks who go to these things are just unwitting dupes to corporate/Talibangellical/military-security complex propaganda, their ignorance is extremely dangerous, and must be fought. Lies MUST be challenged by everyone in a free society.
Absolutely, nov. Whether the ignorance is congenital or willful, we must do all we can to spread some real “good news” about – the truth.
Great work, Hrafnkell.
This article is the definition of divisive sensationalism. The government is your enemy, not your fellow American citizens. Just because Obama is black doesn’t mean he gives any more of a fuck about black people than any of the politicians who came before him.
Is it really a concern that we’re going to return to slavery? That idea is just preposterous. Inciting racism and hatred is so easy but actually listening to what your enemy has to say may lead you to realize that you aren’t as far from each other as you may think.
No, the tea party who wanted to put us in default is the enemy. The government doesn’t have to be the enemy. The tea party representatives in states where women’s rights are totally abused. You can go on for weeks about the tea partys actions. Its infiltration of fundamentalist christians is just another drawback.
Seriously? The Tea Party did not want to put anybody in default, they only wanted the government to pull their heads out of the and deal with the massive problem called our debt. But the other politicians Repub & Demos refused to push away from the feeding trough. In case you have been asleep, the US Economy tanked when people could not afford to pay their bills, which is EXACTLY where the US Government was heading towards.
That is a bold-faced lie. The Tea Party wants the govt to fold and love their gold. The simple tea mind are like kids lying to their
The economy tanked because of unregulated derivatives being sold as class A graded bonds you illiterate ignorant moron big mouth.
He wasn’t talking about the economy crashing. He was talking about the debt-ceiling fiasco where the Tea Party was willing to destroy America’s economic standing in the world to make a point. Idiots.
Yes seriously. The tea bags in the house wanted default and said so many times.
They did?
Yes they did. en masse
Do you realize that there is no difference between the democrats and the republicans and that 90% of the “tea party” has been co-opted by republican corporatists who distort its original message of eliminating income taxes FOR ALL and enhancing personal liberty? They all work together to make each other rich at the expense of the American people.
Michelle Bachmann, Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, John Huntsman, Rick Santorum, et al are not true tea party people. They’re establishment Republicans who are career politicians. Ron Paul is the only legitimate tea party candidate and his views on ending all wars immediately, refocusing our economy, helping tide the people over until we can transition government down to its proper scope,
As far as women’s rights, I assume you mean abortion? How important is your right to kill a child compared to the rights of the rest of us to be free? How can one defend all life everywhere without doing so unilaterally for our species? Is this really anywhere near as big of an issue as people make it out to be compared to things like war where thousands of children are blown apart by land mines or raped and mangled? In the face of war-mongering, abortion and allusions of racism seem irrelevant. The same goes for a looming massive financial crisis that is going to make everyone so poor that children could potentially be starving in the streets even worse than they are now in 20 years.
As much as the tea party can be insane bible thumpers, they have a point in that we can’t borrow our future from another country or take it under threat of violence from the American people. Most of us don’t even support these wars!
I hope you realize that the original tea party was not against government, but against corporations, and that it’s not government that is the enemy; a misinformed, uninformed electorate is the enemy of a civiilzed society.
Right, they weren’t against government, they just happened to declare an extreme hostility to government. They were against corporations, but just happened to support any position that benefited big corporations. Isn’t ignorant and misinformed the very definition of the teabaggers?
Well, yes and no. Ron Paul’s campaign platform was never really anti-corporations as much as it was anti-government subsidy of corporations. Government in its present incarnation is definitely enemy #1 because it’s the easiest to change that will have the most amount of effect over time. Bringing the troops home, for example, would have a massive effect on our budget crisis. That’s something that can be solved by just electing Ron Paul.
Ultimately, yes… uninformed electorate is the enemy but you have to take things one step at a time when you want reform and the first step is definitely to change our $1.5 trillion per year warmongering. I like to think of this as focus-fire on the weakest link of the entire apparatus of the military industrial complex.
It’s not that simple. that all sounds great, but once again, whenever we get into Paul land, we end up on fantasy island for 12 year old boys who are still in love with Ayn Rand and haven’t reconciled this with real humanity. So what happens when we just “bring the troops home” and leave the massive power vacuum in Iraq, e.g., wide open for abuse, or the power vacuum in Afghanistan which the terrorists have taken full advantage of? We just leave and hope it all resolves? Obviously you haven’t been to Iraq, because while we’ve already draw the troops down substantially, that alone left room for what you see happening there now.
Once you START a war esp in places so already torn apart with warring factions, you can’t just say, oops, didn’t want to be here, bye. I never wanted to be there in the first place, but you’re smoking crack if you think we can just mosey out of there and have no ramifications. And by ramifications, I don’t mean just countries hating our guts. Or do other people’s lives not count anymore? Hi, we’re here to invade your country, oops, didn’t want to be here, sorry about the huge power vacuum, better luck next time, sorry your whole village just got slaughtered, but we really have a budget issue and we never wanted to be here, problem solved!
None of this addresses corporate welfare, and by the way, the budget cuts already reflect the drawdown in Iraq. There’s no additional savings to be had there.
The govt is not my enemy. The TEA-GOP is about to find itself on the wrong end of an armed popular uprising if it actually thinks the corporations who are really behind it are going to rule American citizens. They are the real enemy and we are heading to a real armed conflict if they throw the 2012 elections like they are known to do. The GOP is trash, and have committed outright treason, and their leaders should be tried by military tribunal, along with banking executives, defense contractors, and big oil.
Hang them all and let God sort them out.
I must not be in Kansas anymore
It just boggles my mind when I point out the racism of the Tea Party, and get “WE’RE NOT RACIST OMG HOW DARE YOU!!!” in response–along with the usual “some of my best friends are…” lines.
As well as the outraged implication that calling someone a racist is the worst thing you can do, far worse than being a racist.
just boggling
Calling someone a racist without any proof or ability to see into a persons mind is retarded.
Right because we should never judge by their words or actions, and need to feign stupidity just to please you. Because you are our master and rule us, and will tell us what we should think. And who are you anyway simpleton?
Surely someone who calls strangers retarded wouldn’t also be prone to stereotyping people in a racist manner. Good argument.
Words have meaning dear, and intelligent points of view are easily derived from the use of them.
Tea Party folk ooze and drip racism from every pore. Only you can’t see it because it is so ingrained in your total worldview it is impossible for you to even see it. You just think of the as “the others who I don’t dislike, in fact I even have friends like them … “
How does it feel? Its exactly like assuming a black person is on welfare. Only based on your own words and lack of enough intelligence to recognize others are smart enough to see the meanings between your disparate positions and statements, your hypocrisy and group-think. What is the percentage of minorities in the Tea Party again, for example?
christian, I believe your reply is misdirected – sarah seems to be addressing the teh teabag
The usual “Im not crazy your crazy!” argument from the Tea Partiers.
As The Bard once wrote, “Thou doth protest too much”
From what I’ve seen on places like the HuffPost, both ends of the political spectrum have their rabid attackers and I haven’t seen much apologizing going on by anyone.
When was the last time progressives tried to take my voting rights, protect the banks destroying my job, deny me healthcare, steal the ss I have paid into for 20 years to give to rich bankers, steal my medicare, put my disabled dad on the street, pollute the air and water I need to live and deny my kids a fair and honest education? And you think WE kwe an apology? You make me sick.
It is time to exercise 2nd amendment rights to protect democracy from these pissant wannabe dictator thieves stealing our country.
Sometimes I think I wouldn’t even mind if some of them – oh, Texas say – exercised its Tenth Amendment rights and just left, but the Tea Party doesn’t even understand exactly what it is the Tenth Amendment says.
This comments section is retarded. I just wrote out an eloquent response to the comments I read only to realise that I’ve tried to post on these threads many times but am never approved by the moderator. This is especially troubling since the articles on this site are especially hatefull and censored so as to give the illusion that the tea party is a minority voice. Palin and Bachmann fans will get through, but they aren’t real tea party material, the second I seem to write about Ron paul my comment is tossed down the memory hole. So in summation who cares about this site anyways? It’s a framed debate with the minority voices acting as the censor and giving the impression that they are not the minority. I’m just happy I’m practicing my 2nd ammendment now, because this crap doesn’t fly when we’re face to face, you’ll get the truth straight from my lips, and should you try to censor me you’ll get a shell in your mouth. PEACE!
Your posts are not censored because of who you write about. Look at the last sentence you just wrote. Being as you have attacked the site your posts dont have much chance of being approved. You are the problem
Bobo, enjoy the nice, long holiday weekend. When our field office opens on Tuesday, I will be starting a case file to investigate your threat against the comment moderator. Do you think we’ll find a pattern of such comments you’ve made? I can’t wait to find out!
Peace indeed.
LOL you are an agent probably at the rest stops
Hey, Bobo, did your earlier posts contain the same idiotic, terrorist threats that this one did? I suspect that they did, and that’s probably what got them banned in the first place. Hopefully, this one will get you a little visit from federal law enforcement officials as well.
Enjoy prison, schnook.
Bigotry is the one uniting force of the GOP.
How else can you explain anyone who is not rich voting for a party that only supports the top 2% of the population.
When they think less government they are thinking less for minorities.
How else can you explain people supporting less taxes for the rich but more for themselves.
Unless there stupid enough to think they are the rich.
Since 55 million people voted for McCain and only 3 million people are rich in this country who are these 52 million idiots.
more than just money issues these people are concerned about dogbreath
Fascism: any ideology or movement inspired by Italian Fascism, such as German National Socialism; any right-wing nationalist ideology or movement with an authoritarian and hierarchical structure that is fundamentally opposed to democracy and liberalism.
Fascism is left wing meaning large central controlling government
Republicism is small government owned by whatever wealthy people want it.
Howard Dean, former Gov of Vermont, is not a Calif Rep as stated in paragraph 2.
That they are African-American,Republican or from the “tea party” proves nothing. 2010 was interesting in that anything that the president (and by the Democrats)was for; the majority of Americans should be against.
West and Scott rode that wave. Both haven’t done anything substantial (especially West) since and their re-election years shall be interesting.
Read the S n P report again. Their findings again said it all in regards to their decision
Obama is a bigger threat to prosperity in America then the Tea party. Obama is paid tp give the conservatives everything they want and let a black democrat to take the blame. Obama only represents the rich criminals who control America.
Evidence? Talking points?
So far everything on this web page are generalized pejoratives. Hate filled and hyperbole. Exactly — evidence. Talking points is just BS on both sides. And Shiva guessing you of Indian extract. Your parents came here for opportunity and capitalism not socialism. And probably hard working. If you not Indian what are you a wanna be deity
1. There are facts on this page that you havfe to run from.
2. I am of Dutch and English extraction. Both my parents were born here and worked very hard. I worked very hard in my life. No one is attempting to make this a socialist country. You can grow up now.
Why would imply socialism is bad? It works so well in every part of the world. By the way what facts they are just statements. Facts are based on documentation The only difference between the dumecrats and the repubecans is one is a bigger hypocrite than the other. I will let you figure out which one that is.
YOU implied it was bad. There is only one country that might be considered as socialist and that’s Venezuela The country’s that do have single payer and universal healthcare rank vastly higher than ours. I will let you reread the article through your cynicism. Let me know when the blinders come off
The enemy is the Koch led John Birch Society. The Tea Party is a Bircher dupe primarily influenced by Dick Armey’s Bircher Freedomworks.
Everyone must remember……….the tea partyers ARE republicans. They are EXTREME REPUBLICANS! The rest of the republicans FEAR the tea party, as well they should, because they are just a front for a group of large donors who want to use the tea party split to push their extreme agenda on the rest of us. They are a MINORITY of the republican party, and should be treated as such.
Then if that’s the case, when are most of the Republicans going to take their party back from the lunatics? The Tea Partiers have become the tail that wag the GOP dog, and their extremism if unchecked is bound to doom the Republican Party.
Why would they take their party back? The “Tea Party” is an alter ego, much as Mr. Hyde is to Dr. Jekyll. When the TP gets a favorable response, the GOP sings praise. When there is backlash, they disavow any knowledge. They can have their cake and eat it too.
The one thing they can’t fix is one pesky little letter – R. All the “Tea Party” candidates have an (R) after their name, not a (T). If they were true to their (stated) convictions, and formed a genuine separate party and ran with a (T) after their name, they would find they were as popular as a turd in a punch bowl. So they keep their (R) brand, betraying their true function as a decoy, a puppet, a sideshow. A marketing gimmick, nothing less. It’s a dinner for schmucks, and the GOP brought the TPers.
such homophobe calling TB turd punchers
balancing the budget is extremism
such extremist calling for a balance budget
Here is another writer who refuses to admit the Tea Party is the Republican Party and Republicans are the Tea Party. You need to stop trying to separate the two. Your only doing their work when you do this.
The Tea Party are first, traitors to the US of A, racist, liars and every other vile and offensive word that there is. I make no appologies, even under torture, for my statements! The Tea Party can burn in Hell!
so sayeth maxine waters
Right on !! Teabaggers are Stupid Tools for the Super wealthy.
But , got a qvestion: since when did Howard Dean become a California Rep ?
TEA doesn’t stand for Taxed Enough Already. It stands for Take Everything Away.
And give it to others long live social justice
Thats right. Long live our society that isnt just made for the haves, and long live justice that isnt just meted out to the poor
“Obama is showing zero integrity in the way he’s handling the tea party. He called for civility in January. Yet he shares a stage with this guy who is calling on people to take out the Tea Party, and says nothing.
His supporters Maxine Waters and Andre Carson have both made unfounded accusations about the Tea Party. This is Obama’s chance to rise above all the childishness on both sides and say, “Get over it, we’re all in this together.” But he hasn’t got the guts

That would be fine it if weren’t a lie. Hoffa never said what Fox told you he said. But speaking of uncivil, Bachmann did say it. So did Palin. Should I continue, because the list is long. You can find the articles right here on this site that debunk and show the entire clip. Unless, of course, you’re not interested in the truth.
I hate to say this because I was a big Obama supporter but unfortunately he doesn’t have the spirit in him to stand up to the tea party hence every proposal he brings forth to congress gets pimpslapped with a veto due to the tea part being in control with the majority right now. Perfect example of the greasiness behind the Tea Party’s dangerous antics are the way they and the media have pretty much excluded Ron Paul out of any serious talks in regards to his candidacy for representing the Republican party in 2012.
