The US Constitution proscribes that budgets originate in the House, are sent to the Senate to be compared with the Senate’s intentions, are debated and edited in committee until a compromise version is produced, and then sent on the President for signature. Yes or no? If yes, while the House has delivered the initial version of the budget on time each year, why has the Senate not performed either of their responsibilities since 2009? And, if no, perhaps you can explain the process and how you measure the responsibility met by each of the two chambers?

Of course that weasel Eric Can’tor’s debt-ceiling raise is bogus! The problem is, since President Obama said he’s not negotiating over the debt-ceiling again, whatever deal the House and Senate hammer out can be vetoed. Add to that the fact that the GOP won’t be able to pass the bill with a 2/3rds majority nor get a post-veto override, Can’tor and the GOP are going to have to negotiate with House and Senate Democrats to come up with something that the President will actually sign.

Let’s fact it, GOP morons: the President outsmarted you. Your best chance to establish the fascist corporate plutarchy you seek so badly died on 6 November, when you failed to get supermajorities in both Houses of Congress and Mittens the Liar Rmoney into the White House. It’s well past time that you stop acting like spoiled children and actually govern, as you were elected to do.
