I may not like some of the things people have to say, but I sure as hell want to live in a country where speaking one’s mind is not a crime. Protected speech is absolutely, utterly critical. Imagine if things YOU said were unpopular and you could go to jail for them? You don’t wanna mess with freedom of speech. Palin is a raving nutjob in a bad wig, and I can say that publicly. I’m grateful to live in a country where free speech is protected outright. When people get to say unpopular things and not be punished for it, that’s when the freedom of speech is truly realized.

“For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, TO THE JEW FIRST, and also to the Gentile.” Rom 1:16, NKJV (emphasis mine).

If mentions it again: “For you are a holy people to the Lord your God, and the Lord has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.” Deuteronomy 14:2, NKJV

So, everyone saying that “America is chosen by God” and all that are basically deluding themselves and haven’t picked up their Bible in a while. So far as I know, America is not a Jewish nation.

She is a loud-mouthed, ignorant shill for the corporate class who has a terminal case of foot-in-mouth disease. And before you claim that only liberals feel that way, there are many conservatives with similiar views of her. So, don’t fall into the predictable trap of assuming that the well-deserved criticism of her is confined to the left. I love the way that some of her defenders either deflect by talking about President Obama or by assuming that everyone who doesn’t like Palin likes him. Still others make personal remarks about her detractors. What the defenders have in common is that they are trying to defend the indefensible stupidity and lack of patriotism of Sarah Palin, and it only serves to make THEM look even more foolish. Why do they think that she is viewed unfavorably in other countries as well?
