Fox News’ Demented Scandal Mashup: The IRS Will Kill Conservatives With Obamacare
Fox News is so desperate for a scandal that they have combined the IRS and Obamacare into a claim that the IRS is going to use Obamacare to deny conservatives health care.
Here is the video via Media Matters:
Transcript:
Doocy: We’ve been telling you about the IRS scandal right? How they’ve been targeting conservatives, tea party, stuff like that. Turns out, the woman in charge of cracking down on the 501c threes and fours, Sarah Hall Ingram, the IRS official. She’s no longer in the job of cracking down on conservatives. No, she been in charge now of running the Obamacare office at the IRS. What possibly could go wrong there? Holy cow.
Carlson: It’s unbelievable, actually. Because when this story started to break in the last few days, one of the concerns that would be a caveat is, and by the way the IRS is going to be in charge of Obamacare, remember that? So maybe, that would make people feel a little uneasy. To think that the same woman who is accused of targeting these tea party and conservative and religious groups who spoke out against the government. To think that this same woman is going to be in charge of the same division of the same people who spoke out against Obamacare, she’s going to have to go against about 50% of the country.
…
Doocy: Well, this is a little scary. Just think about the nexus of IRS with healthcare and the fact that she — keep in mind, one of the things from the IG report was, one of the problems with the IRS, was they blamed ineffective management. Well, she was the management, and now she’s running Obamacare at the IRS? Going forward, just imagine: okay, so you go in and you’re, you’re trying to get a doctor’s appointment; right? And they go, we see from your tax records — how would that possibly be possible? — We see from your tax records that you support the Tea Party or conservative groups. You want a doctor’s visit? Three weeks. You want hip replacement? Four years.
Carlson: I think the big issue for me this morning though is that she didn’t come to that position on her own. I mean somebody is directly putting her in that position after what she did to the conservative groups.
According to Fox News, the IRS is going to look at tax records and deny conservatives health care if they oppose Obama. There are several problems with this premise. First, the IRS isn’t running Obamacare. The IRS will be enforcing Obamacare. The IRS will be making sure that people have health insurance. The second problem with the Fox conspiracy is that the IRS won’t have access to anyone’s medical records. The third Fox News fallacy is that the government will be making healthcare decisions. Insurance companies, not the IRS, will still decide what is covered by your insurance.
Fox News is so desperate for a scandal that they created this unholy mashup of Obamacare and the IRS in order to scare the hell out of their viewers. The right has already started giving Sarah Hall Ingram the Van Jones treatment in the hopes of building a Frankenstein monster of Obama conspiracies.
The fact that Fox News is desperately trying to cobble the odds and ends of whatever Obama conspiracy that they happen to have handy into a scandal is a strong indication that they are well aware that the latest Republican attempts to create an Obama scandal are going nowhere.
The right is amping up the paranoia, which means that they are playing an empty hand. If they are going with Obama is going to use the IRS to kill conservatives with Obamacare, they reverting back to their old playbook.
Fox News is reeking of desperation, and this is more proof that the latest Republican plot to get Obama has fallen flat on its face.

I cant watch the video becuase I am scared I will be forced to look up Carlson’s dress.
Carlson, Kilmeade and the biggest fool in the nation Doocy.
If Sarah Hall Ingram had anything to do with the looking up conservative tax exempt frauds, I seriously doubt the president would put her in care of Obama care. And if she did, he would do it just to let the 3 noted above make themselves look foolish.

ROFL — they forgot to include how the IRS delayed the Benghazi response so Bill Ayres wouldn’t reveal President Obama’s true birthplace . . .

FOX News is only followin what Heritage Action for America asked Boehner and Cantor to do; promote scandals instead of doing any legislation. In effect they are asking to bring our government to a halt.
As far as I’m concerned, following Heritage’s suggestion will violate the oath Boehner and Cantor took when installed into office.
This is just more proof that Norquist and Heritage control the Republican Party.

Basically, they are pretending others are going to do unto them what they would do unto others, given the chance.

Well, they want us poorer folk to be last in line for any medical treatment…need to leave room at the front for them and those in their income bracket.

Are they for real?
I really don’t see how these people can even get themselves to work every morning.

Trust us, Fox, you folks will be the first in line for mental health care. And we will save you adjoining rooms in the first available mental hospital. You, Rove, Sarah, Hannity, O’reilly, Malkin, Cheney, Yoo, Rumsfeld..the whole lot of you can sit there all day and dream up vicious scenarios about President Clinton. And I think, you might not even get to vote when you;re declared incompetent.

What’s scary is that people agree with these idiots. How do they not get dizzy following their path of logic from point A to point B?

YAWN – FOx-ites. The IRS will just determine if you’ve paid your fair share to keep the health care system solvent. That’s it. No IRS agent will take your temp, give you a stress test, or determine if you’re brain dead yet. That last part we will STILL leave to the medical folks despite the obviousness of the answer.
Nope – nothing to see here. No death panels, no cutoffs of service, no euthenasia. Nope. Nothing. So please go away. I’m trying to get a good night’s sleep, and your buzzing and fussing are keeping me awake.

Obamacare already starting. Can’t get into a OBGYN on medicare. They aren’t taking new medicare patients. Can’t find a new family doc. Ours died & they are all filled up. Surgeon in GA told me no medicare, medicaid, tri-care or HMO’s.
Ins premiums going up 100 to 400% according to Gov’t figures.

What does that have to do with medicare? Obamacare doesnt change medicare. The fact that doctors are not taking new patients reflects on the doctors not Obamacare.
I will withhold judgement on your claim of 100-400% increases based on heresay. HMO’s are not under medicare, if you have one now its not affected by Obamacare
Did you complain when premiums went up over 60% a year for years?

I hate lying, Shiva. I live in GA, and my GP and OB/GYN still take Medicare patients, and there are others who are taking these patients. I have an appointment with my GP on Monday and my OB/GYN the first of next month.

Thats funny when the CBO say the average premium will only rise 10 to 13 % But the reality is since states differ no one knows but for you to say your premiums have gone up 100 to 400% is well a lie.Even McConnell whose goal is to destroy the ACA has said they will go up 32% citing a study by a health insurance lobbying group with republican ties.
And why would Doctors turn down medicare other than they cant overcharge the government its a cash cow.I would refer you to a article call Bitter pill that lays out why health care cost so much but judging your post it seems that you are a fan of, just say less than sane people in congress so it would go right over your head.

Fox has tried a version of this play before, back in 2009 and 2010, when they were pushing the lie that the IRS would be hiring multiple thousands of new employees to lock up people who don’t buy health insurance, or some such nonsense. Many of the Fox viewers already have health insurance, so they won’t even be on the IRS’s radar screen. It’s sad that these folks will be persuaded that Pres. Obama and the IRS will be coming after them for “something” related to Obamacare. It will end up just like the Fox claim that “Obama is coming to get your gun(s,)” and that’s nowhere. After being manipulated since 2009 and experiencing extreme disappointment at the results of the 2012 presidential election, one has to wonder about the mental health of those who keep believing the lies that the Fox talking heads keep telling.

Do those guys even believe one half of what they said, or are they so desperate for “new material” that they had to cook this up, like a student trying to reach the minimum word count in his essay?

Once again, intellectually-challenged Republicans feebly attempt to establish phantom causal relationships via a political “6 degrees of separation” rationalization — this time by associating the implementation of the ACA with the inherent problems in the methodology used by the IRS to establish valid tax-exempt status for politically-active organizations.
And once again, they will end up with egg on their collective faces as people recognize that there is no THERE there.
