If you have an iron stomach, you can look up the website of a guy who calls himself Roissy. I stumbled on it while looking for some information on Charles de Gaulle Airport. Anyhow, it’s a pretty good exposition of how these guys think when they’re not worried about what other people think of what they think. And no, they don’t like children, but they think “real women” should have lots of them.

Excellent points! Thank you for writing this. This should be read by all members of the party that tries to brand itself as the party of family values. You end the article perfectly. They need to look to the White House to see real family values in action.

Obviously these guys never bothered to read the Family Leave Act put into place in 1993 under the Clinton administration. Under the act both men and Women can take leave without reprisal for up to 12 weeks. Ms. Fox is able to take 3 months off thanks to Democratic legislation.
I am still waiting for anyone to show me federal regulation passed in the last 20 years by Republicans that actually HELPS working and middle class citizens, ’cause I sure can’t think of any.

These “men” are a bunch of petty, immature, and emotionally stunted idiots. For all the hard right’s rhetoric about “family values,” it’s obvious that these 2 words only amount to an empty, bumper sticker slogan as far as these fools are concerned. If they have any children, I wonder how they must feel to hear their fathers talk about them as if they are unwanted appendages. As for their praise of Sarah Palin, they are especially clueless in failing to realize just how stupid and irresponsible her actions were if her story about Trig’s birth is to be believed. Contrary to their “pro-life” beliefs, she has painted herself as a reckless, uncaring mother who valued her politics over her child’s well-being. I don’t understand what any woman anywhere would see in these bozos who are 13-year-old morons in men’s bodies.

Hypocrites, all of them. Listen to how they describe spending time with their own children.

I have a hard time feeling all that sorry for Kelly because I’m quite sure she’s well aware of “her place” at Fox and it’s institutional misogyny. She’s been more than willing to cheer-lead the male conservative view of the female role in society: seen and not heard, barefoot and pregnant, submissive to the husband, etc…to make a fat paycheck. A woman who supports misogyny doesn’t really deserve my sympathy.

Chick,
Your comment is right on regarding the conservative females and particularly that brand of idiots from the Rethuggery Obstructionist Party of Teabagging Fascists, Fewls, Fakes and Freaks.
All of the females on Faux Noise debase themselves each and everytime they allow themselves to be perched on a high stool in stilettos with their skirts hiked up and their legs and cleavage drawing the attention rather than their words.
That has nothing to do with feminism, motherhood, femalehood, it is misogyny at its 1955 – Marilyn Monroe best.
I have written MeggieK many times regarding her remarks on her show and I disagree with her on every issue and if she allows herself to be “valued” like that by the likes of ChrissyBoy, she is stupider than I think she is – what fewls these people are in real life.

Y’know, narcissists always want lots of children to reflect glory on themselves, but they never want to be bothered with the hassles that go with them. Since we’re mammals, it’s a lot easier to fool yourself about that stuff if you’re male.

This is how Fox rolls. Palin makes a million a year for her “commentary”, and dosen’t have to leave the comfort of home to do it. Meg (no, we’re not bff’s, that’s just my nickname for her)has a “Rill” job, where she has to commute, touch up her roots, apply makeup, put in her hours, schlep home and get paid less than these two men, solely because they can pee standing up, while chewing gum and straining the limits of their peripheral vison.

Megyn Kelly seems to have a wicked sense of humor. She seems like a guy’s gal. Arlen Spector once said when she was interviewing him on Fox that Washington hasn’t been the same since she left. A statement like that can’t be taken lightly because you’re talking about D.C. where people aren’t easily impressed. She’s obviously a scholar but also loves to exude femininity on a scale of charisma that’s exponential.
