Glenn Beck Calls for Obama’s Impeachment Over Boston Terrorist Attack
Glenn Beck has accused the White House covering up suspects in the Boston terrorist attack, and is calling for President Obama to be impeached.
Here is the audio via Media Matters:
Beck is claiming that Saudi national, who law enforcement already ruled out as a suspect is a suspect. He then blamed the media for covering this up, and called for the impeachment of President Obama.
Beck said, “When I found out yesterday, who that guy is and what we have on him, and how our media was rooting for an American to be the killer. And how our president, this administration, the Department of Homeland Security, and everything else. How they have covered this up. How they have aided and abetted this guy is obscene, and it’s criminal. It’s out of control, and when America knows the full story on this, if she doesn’t stand up, and quite honestly, I think demand impeachment and the mass firing if not shutting down of agencies, we don’t stand a chance.”
The Saudi national that Beck declared a suspect was cleared by law enforcement two days ago. The man isn’t a suspect. He’s a witness. Of course, this is all part of Beck’s grand conspiracy theory which leads to the impeachment of President Obama. The right has been whining for days that the left is politicizing the events in Boston, but a call for the president’s impeachment based on a conspiracy theory borders on a level betrayal that is almost treasonous.
Using Beck’s logic, George W. Bush should have been impeached for 9/11. His administration had the appropriate intelligence and didn’t prevent the attacks.
This is something especially disgusting about the way that Glenn Beck and many others are trying to twist this story to fit their Islamic terrorism narrative. The truth is that we don’t know the motivations for this attack, but the Glenn Beck’s of our country are already using it to whip up Islamic hate.
The idea that the president should be impeached for what is happening in Boston is a new low, even for the most vicious of the Obama haters. You don’t have to be a supporter of President Obama to understand how wrong it is to be spreading hate and division at this moment.
The behavior of some on the right is disgusting. They are a national disgrace, who are completely incapable of coming together and joining the rest of the country during a time of tragedy.
Glenn Beck and others on the right who are peddling their conspiracies and hate, are the antithesis of everything this country stands for.
They are un-American, and a source of shame for us all.

After listening to the ‘waffle’ we found no facts to make any case against the government, so, why would you impeach somebody when you’ve got nothing to go on. Clarify what they were suppose to have done. I find it hilarious when he said he didn’t want to go into detail, that’s because he makes it up as he goes along. Again, enlighten us on how the government has helped these people?

It amazes me when 9/11 happened under Bush watch when there is extensive evidence that he was aware of a potential terror plot which was conveyed from the clinton staff as they left office, we didnt hear the liberals demanding his impeachment, But no matter what Obama you know the black guy in the white house does they spin it into a plot and demand he be impeached. Shiva, like I said, if you can’t acknowledge that if a white person had used the term “typical black person” that they would not be viewed as racist then you are not being honest. To assume that anyone is “typical” based on skin color is ignorant. The words he used were just that, ignorant.
I am not saying that Obama is racist, of that I have no idea. What I am saying is, if we judge some people one way then we need to judge all people by those same standards. If we don’t then that is racist. It can’t be a one way street.
Don’t focus on what point he was trying to make, focus on the words he used. Sometimes words can be telling. Other times they just show bad judgement.

I didnt realize that beck is privileged to information that federal and state law enforcement have not confirmed yet namely that this saudi national is guilty when law enforcement completely checked him out and were able to verify he was not involved as a perpetrator. guess we should shoot first then verify after is how he thinks we should proceed in life. all evidence at this time indicates the two Chechnyan brothers were the perpetrators and had no connection to the saudi kid. So explain HOW Obama knew about the attack before hand and what benefit would Obama have for clearing this saudi kid? I think beck needs his meds checked and adjusted.

I always said that if Gore had become president in 2001, the fRight wing would have been calling for his impeachment after 9-11. Instead of the 90-plus percent of Democrats who backed Bush in that dark time, they would have nearly unanimously have used it for politics and to tear the country apart, not bring it together. I believe this is a dark time, I believe the government wants to do everything in their power to protect the safety of its citizens; yet, because I would like a smaller government and have them enforce only my constitutional rights while states handle the rest, I am scum? Very true Shiva, very true. I just want to give the choice and power back to the people, or as close as it can reasonably get. It’d be nice if you could live in a designated area (such as a state) that represented and enacted laws and ideals that you as a citizen agreed with. Guess we can dream. As long as there is power and money to be made, there will be people who will do anything to get it on both sides of the political spectrum. It’s a shame that a tragedy like this has to happen, and we should take time to reflect and remember who this attack is really on, our fellow American citizens. Beck is wrong in this comment, as is anyone who says anything but prayers and support for the Boston victims and their families. It’s time we stop fighting over little things (dems are this, reps are that), realize that all dems and reps can united under being American and take a stand against anyone who wants to threaten this great nation.

It always amazes me how talk radio presenters have a greater knowledge of an on going investigation than the actually officers and agents conducting the investigation. Every once in a while an investigative journalist with expert knowledge in a field may come to a correct conclusion before the investigation team, but these cases are rare.
Regarding Mr Beck’s polemic, I believe writing at 18:50 (GMT) 13:50 (Eastern), the investigating officers/ agents have not even begun a search of these two suspects residencies, let alone discovered any fundamentalist Islamic literature. No forensic search of their computers has been undertaken or any trace of email or international contacts, there simply hasn’t been time.
Mr Beck is simply creating another conspiracy theory narrative on which to hang his insane, mentally unstable rhetoric. The danger here is the simple minded idiots that believe Beck’s bullshit and actually believe the US government is in league with Satan.

Glenn Beck, like Hannity, Limbaugh, Coulter to name a few is anything but crazy. These people are making their fortunes and reaping attention, fame, and power that would otherwise never come to them by putting out inflammatory hate messages.
Nothing to be outraged about here. The key is for persistent, calm, rational
disclaimers of their lies when appropriate and ignoring their irrational hate filled messages as much as possible when that is more appropriate.

A man in Beck’s business will say ANYTHING to get attention, no matter how divisive, potentially dangerous, or hurtful to the victims. His audience is still very large, and he’s still getting rich pissing all over the graves of people worth far more than a platoon of Glenn Becks.
So why do the media continue to cover his every idiotic rant? Simple BECAUSE WE PAY ATTENTION. He’s a magnet for the eyeballs they covet. I’ve said it before, but perhaps it bears repeating – in a mass mediated, consumer-driven society, you give power to the things you pay attention to. Perhaps the end result of how news this week is being conveyed, is that it’s dawning on us that the news media cannot be trusted to give facts, because it seems to be more important to them to shape opinion. And my opinion needs to be based on truth, not repeated language such as fact-free speculation of “radicalized” “sleeper cells”. I haven’t heard the words domestic terrorist used once today, now that we know these two are white and Russian. Earlier today the failed meme across all networks was a concerted effort to attempt connect to jihad. When that failed (except for the low information crowd who took it as truth) they moved into the “troubled youth” meme, which will be confirmed by Tuesday.

The only thing that surprises me about this is that it’s taken so long for Beck to call for Obama’s impeachment. That he believes the FBI is part of a huge conspiracy to release this “suspect” is just more of Glenn Beck being Glenn Beck. He doesn’t admit he’s wrong. Contrary facts don’t bother him because they are part of the “MSM.”
This isn’t remarkable at all. That Beck would exploit a tragedy to build his following (that’s why Beck makes controversial comments) is something close to “treasonous.” I say disgusting and deplorable.
Can we the people impeach a shark-jumping propagandist? Maybe it’s time for StopBeck.org to go after Beck’s advertisers again. Angelo, are you hearing this?

Suspect #1 was aprehended at 2:25 stripped naked and handcuffed and put in a cruiser, not a bullet hole in him. 1 hour and 10 minutes later reports say that he died upon arrival at the hospital with more bullet holes than they could count.
What about the fact that they were planning a drill, they had backpacks with explosives and bomb sniffing dogs all around yet they didn’t detect the bomb? Interesting stuff. Please get an education and do some research before you post unintelligent posts online. This saudi has a history of terrorism. Just stop talking please.

Why is anyone still listening to this one semester attending-one course dropping-college dropout? Beck is a conundrum. To him, President Obama is both the strongest and weakest leader on the planet. According to Beck, in one instance the president has great powers he abues, and at others, he’s weak and ineffective in every area of governing. Beck pretends to be an authority on all things, yet, he doesn’t know that a president can only be impeached if he commits a “high crime or misdemeanor.” A random act of terrorism fits neither of these constitutional requirements. Surely, “Dr. Beck” would know this.

In addition, Obama was nice enough to send in ground forces in about 3 countries at the moment and those countries aren’t Iraq or Afghanistan. Obama ordered the bombing of Libya, and did it without congressional Approval killing hundreds of women and children in the process, but you sheeple that follow this Obama murderer are just as bas as the sheeple that followed the Bush murderer. The president fought a very limited battle in Libya which was well within the time frame allotted to him. You do not see Darrell Issa trying to impeach the president on that one.

The article should have solely focused on the Impeachment of Obama. Not whether Beck is committing an act of treason to Obama – that was really a dumb reference. A person can only betray their country, not the president. Additionally, it should have left references to Bush out. The author know very little about Impeachment – a President can be Impeached for Betraying the Public’s Trust. Obama has betrayed the public’s trust; even Democrats admit that.
