Glenn Beck Begins His Campaign Of Lies Against Occupy Wall Street
On his radio show today, Glenn Beck claimed the Occupy Wall Street protesters are going to commit a terrorist act, collapse the nation, and kill millions of Americans.
Beck claiming that he has information about an attack on Wall Street next week:
Beck warned his listeners to stock up on food and water because Van Jones, unions, the left and Occupy Wall Street are planning an attack next week on Wall Street. Beck claimed that this is verified information that came to him from credible sources. Left unanswered is exactly why anyone would tell Glenn Beck this information before they would tell the FBI or Homeland Security. Speaking of the FBI, they might want to pay Mr. Beck a visit if he continues to make up false terror threats against America.
Beck also warned his audience that millions will die because of Occupy Wall Street:
Beck played a clip from Al Sharpton’s MSNBC show, and then said, “These people are not interested in creative destruction. They are only interested in destruction. That leads to gas chambers. That leads to guillotines. That leads to millions dead. That leads to Mao. That leads to totalitarianism, every single time.”
Glenn Beck continued by going into one of his elaborate collapse of America conspiracy theories where banks were closed, stores were looted, and eventually the Occupy Wall Street protesters broke into his listeners homes because they have more than the protesters.
Beck’s lies are the sort of fear based rhetoric that the Occupy Wall Street protesters are going to be up against. People like Glenn Beck can’t defend and argue for the support of system that benefits people like himself at the expense of everyone else, so they have to fear monger and claim that there is something dangerous about battling corruption and inequality.
Beck’s logic is that not allowing the super-rich and powerful to exploit our system is bad for America. Much like the GOP’s (Grand Old Party) job creators argument, Beck is claiming that America benefits from the greed and corruption of the bankers and Wall Street. He seems to be saying that when the banks and Wall Street win, America wins, but this isn’t true.
The truth is that when the banks and Wall Street win, the same people that Beck is trying to scare with his radio show lose. Millions aren’t going to die if the banks and Wall Street are properly regulated. The people who are protesting at Occupy Wall Street aren’t trying to destroy America. They are trying to save it. Glenn Beck has a personal financial interest in making sure that the protests fail.
The weeks of protests have revealed that the Occupy Wall Street movement is the exact opposite of what Glenn Beck claimed. These people aren’t violent. They have no desire to inflict violence on anyone. They have been the victims of violence at the hands of some overzealous members of the NYPD, but the goal of Occupy Wall Street is not to cause or inflict violence.
Glenn Beck and his fellow one percenters control the media, so the people protesting at Occupy Wall Street better get their counter message ready and prepare for a barrage of lies.

If you had half the decency of Beck, you’d still be lacking. It has been disgraceful what’s taken place at these protests. Rich kids demanding more and more because all that their parents gave them wasn’t enough. Listen, we have many poor in this country who just aren’t willing to work. LBJ’s GREAT SOCIETY was a horrible experiment for the New World Order that preyed on Blacks and other minorities. The bottom line is this, you are protesting the wrong folks. The unions and the “hippies” are acting (knowingly or unknowingly) as cover for the government/politicians/world banking/Soros complex. I am sorry you don’t get it, but Beck has told the truth. Enjoy worshipping under the anti-Christ (the Mahadi) because that’s where most of you who malign conservatives are headed.

You have proven you have absolutely no idea why these people are protesting havent you? And now you say Beck is right when you have no idea whats going on. Just following what Beck says without doing your homework makes you look very foolish.
Your post is about as meaningless to the situation as one can get. But you are happy, Beck told you what to say

If you had listened to Beck then you would know that this article is heavily skewing what was said. Beck said he agrees with 90% of what OWS is doing, what he does not agree with is destroying Wall Street before having some semblance of a plan for how the new economy is going to function.
Apple didn’t destroy IBM and then make a product, they made a product that destroyed IBM. Don’t leave a void for anarchy to flourish, that is the message.

I know right? IBM has completely vanished from the computer world. It’s not like they moved on to dominate with super computers and Enterprise IT or anything.

Apple is the best, but wanted to clear something up by playing the devil’s advocate for a moment. Actually IBM is alive and doing very well. The reason you do not see IBM computers is that IBM sold it’s PC business to Lenovo back in 2004. They are doing very well in the services and software sector. IBM continues to have strong quarterly results and acquisitions. The downside of IBM is its share of layoffs and outsourced employees like many corporations.

The news tonight… they kept repeating this clip showing a guy saying that the protests had started off peaceful, but could turn violent. Again and again and again. My wife got quite irritated at it because of the repetitions. Then they interviewed kids who were pushing anarchism.
(SIGH!)
That’s not what I’m picking up about the protests. Anarchism is exactly the thing we DON’T need right now – that is the essence of the Tea Party line (but not their goals). We DO need government regulation of corporations AND of the rich. Everything I’ve read shows that the “violence” stuff is a lie and propaganda meant to turn people off.
They even had “Bubba the Love Sponge” on there – who blamed Obama and said that the Wall Street executives who caused the collapse in 2008 were given jobs in the Obama administration. (At least he DID say that the protests were a good thing.)
This was the local CBS station.
Their verbal violence hasn’t reach Beck’s level yet, but I suspect it will. I just pray HARD that no nutcase ruins everything.
Ingarose
Oct. 5th, 2011 at 12:01 am
Yes, I also pray that no one ruins the peaceful protest because that is exactly what Beck and others like him are looking for.
Remember that they wanted to plant instigators at the Wisconsin protests? I would not put it past them to send in some plants.

I like how no one seems to understand what anarchism is. Direct democracy is, in fact, exactly what the protesters are about. I do appreciate the point that you’re trying to make, given the colloquial use of the term ‘anarchism’, but it’s as frustrating to read this over and over as it is to read that Democrats are socialists.

“The truth is that when the banks and Wall Street win, the same people that Beck is trying to scare with his radio show lose.”
That’s not actually true. The people listening to Beck are Boomers and older. They have a lot of money locked up in artificially inflated home values, stocks purchased for retirement, and securities based pensions.
The older generations don’t want to see any sort of radical reform, because then they’d face the same sort of hardships young people are facing now. People 55 and older are 50% more likely to vote than people 18-24, and are half as likely to be unemployed.

Ever think that the older generations DID face the sort of hardships that young people are facing now? Very few people get rich before they’re 30–its after years of hard work that the older generations have gotten to the level of wealth in which they can lead comfortable lives. The problem is that the young generations see them and feel entitled to that level of wealth and job status NOW and decide to start whining about what they don’t have. Why should someone who was able to battle their way through hard times and work their way up in the world without any kind of reform or government aid be punished so that the young people of today can have an easier time? That is robbery. They weren’t handed the money they’ve made–they EARNED it. They are already paying as much as 50% of their salaries in taxes. Is that not enough?
I am a college student, I am young, and I support Glenn Beck because I believe he has the FUTURE in mind. Not the now. I may be young, but I am one of the few young people who is not just looking out for myself- I think about this country as a whole and every person counts. I know that out of college I may not have a good job, i may have to live in a shitty apartment and do without a lot of things and work incredibly hard –but I accept the challenge because hard work and sacrifice is what America was built on. Never will I blame anyone but myself for any financial failure or failure in the job world. I will continue to stand behind Glenn Beck because he has the courage to stand out, ALONE, and speak his mind, and deliver common sense and truth in the face of incredible opposition.

And the funny part is, in two weeks time when millions have not died Glenn Becks little followers will not question why no one died and why Glenn Beck was wrong. Nor will Glenn Beck go back to that and even bring it up. He will just move on to the next theory that America is about to be destroyed.
I would ask how many people he has lost since he left Fox, but he isn’t any crazier now than he was then.

I’m getting really concerned that the Tampa protest will be tricked into violence and we will be blamed.
Everywhere I turn on the MM, there is a constant message of “threats-violence-threats-violence”. If I could contact the leaders of the local protest, I’d warn them to be extra vigilant against agent provocateurs and outside troublemakers.
They may try to make it a self-fulfilled prophesy.
I also feel some concern that the dominionists will try to hijack it. Not steeplejack it this time, because I think trying to turn it overtly religious would seriously fail (and I think they probably know that), but take over and try to use the protests to destroy the government.
If I was able to speak, I would remind everyone that we already have something in place that will solve most of the problems – called the Constitution. We just need to get the rich out of power, lock them out, and make them pay their fair share.

Beck’s only telling half the story, so that he doesn’t scare his listeners. In fact, Occupy Wall Street is a plot by the underground anti-Israel mafia to destroy freedom and liberty FOREVER. In the tents, people duped into joining the protests are implanted with mind-controlling chips by the mafia elders, which turn them into evil cyborgs lusting after destruction. They look peaceful now. But after the genetic engineering succeeds, and their dinosaur mounts arrive from their hidden midwest locations, they will tear through the city in a wild orgy of hatred, riding their Tyrannosaurus Rex beasts and destroying all who stand in their way!
I heard it all from a credible source.

That is exactly why so many of the OWS people are young. It is the youth that are in most peril. I sometimes wonder why older people are not more concerned with their children and their children’s kids futures. I guess that the older 1% or 5% have enough to pass down to the next generations and really don’t care about everyone else. It is the “I got mine” mentality. Not good for our Democracy.

I disagree. I lost 40% of my savings to Wall Street which was part of my retirement package, compliments of Reagan. I was poor but OK until that happened. Even though I saved & scrimped & worked hard all my life, my kids won’t get much, if anything, unless I die quickly. Many older Americans are in my position & are NOT in the Tea Party.

Me too…I’ve got renters who lease to own my home and live with someone so “we” can cut cost. All my middle class clients are gone for the same reasons you’ve stated.
My uber-wealthy republican clientele has “peeled” away as they can’t stand to look into the eyes of the working middle class business person. They’ve had to “let go” of most of the “help”, as in, those who own small businesses (but not the illegals!), like executive house keepers to run the property(ies), private lessons, valet parking for their parties, interior decorators that drop by once a month with a new “must have”…how on earth can they be expected to give checks to all these people at Christmas when they simply must take 14 of their closest friends on a holiday cruise? If have to ask how much it cost…
…Bill Maher and Micheal Moore played off each other very nicely on the 9/23/11 show. Maher showed how “nervous” the uber-wealthy have become about taxes; he had it spot on as that is exactly how what I’ve experienced.

You guys all live in la la land obviously, do you really believe that our corrupt government had absoulutely nothing to do with the mess we are in. I am no fan of democrats nor republicans, at least not any that hold office. I earn my living and do not expect anyone or thing to give me more than I deserve, why aren’t you up in arms about the money are politician are making, do you even know how many of them are considered millionaires? What about what our Postmaster is making if I remember correctly it is about 800 thousand a year, talk about ludicrous. Best question of all her is to me… How much, or often have any one of you actually watched an episode or listened to Glenn Becks program? I used to hate people like GB, Rush or any other conservative mouthpiece simply because that is how my mother raised me, until I started to really listen. Now I can say I am a proud Conservative and no, that does not mean Republican. It means exactly what it says, conservative, I believe in the constitution and once again that does not make me a Republican, but Democrat I was and will never be again. The party of hate, domonize and take down any one who does not fall in lock step. People need to listen to more sides of any and all issues before they spew that hate that so easily comes with politics.
Just some food for thought…. Your life is not my fault, my life is not your business and … You are not entitled to what I earn. If you agree with either of those than how do you align yourself with these so-called protesters? You guys want someone to blame, than you should be looking to government they started this in the 1970″s, when I actually was a democrat, look it up
