This week the Republicans blocked the Veterans Jobs Bill — one that they themselves had helped draft.

Why? To deny Obama (and the Democrats) “credit”.

The level of hypocrisy is breathtaking. They want to increase defense spending, but not a cent of the increase should go to veterans.

And what does it say to their assessment of the intelligence of the voters? “Let’s scuttle this bill and blame Obama, they’ll never figure out it was us.”

They never expected Americans to learn that they tried to change the definition of rape, or that the war on women is real, or that they accepted stimulus funds while bashing the stimulus, or that their main focus is on enriching the rich, etc. These things were only supposed to be mentioned in “quiet rooms.”
