Treasonous Republicans Kill Jobs And Betray The American People
There are myriad cases in America’s history of treachery against the people by ideologues who embrace a philosophical bent that drives them to betray their own countrymen for monetary gain or to topple the current government. When those traitors are exposed, they are arrested and tried for treason and if their crimes warrant harsh punishment, they may face execution according to the law. Today, Americans are under siege by a mainstream political movement whose goal is to cause as much damage to the government and its people as possible and they display the malice, subterfuge, and betrayal of history’s worst traitors. After two years and ten months of obstruction, deceit, and lies, Republicans have shown themselves to be traitors to their country and more importantly, traitors to the American people.
The Republicans in the House and Senate are traitors, but they have abandoned any attempt at covert action against the government and the people. This week, for the third time, Republicans in the Senate blocked a part of President Obama’s jobs plan that guaranteed to put Americans back to work. They claim their objection is the 0.7% surtax on millionaires and billionaires, but if the infrastructure improvement bill had given money to the wealthy and corporations directly, Republicans still would have opposed it. It is true that Republicans will always oppose any tax increases for their precious millionaires and billionaires, but their motives for blocking job creation was about portraying the president as ineffective at bolstering economic growth. Although they want to defeat President Obama at all costs, their ultimate goal is changing the nature of government into a corporate run enterprise that rewards wealthy industrialists and sends the rest of the people into a life of perpetual poverty.
The Republican Party’s de facto leader, Grover Norquist, has went on record promising that if they can shrink the size of the federal government enough, they will drown it in a bathtub. It is one thing to be fiscally conservative, but to openly declare that their goal is to eliminate the government altogether and replace it with a Libertarian’s dream of a privately owned entity is blatant treason against the government. The monstrous aspect of Republicans’ tactic to decimate the government is their malicious disregard for the American people, and make no mistake; the GOP have spent two and three-quarters years assailing 99% of Americans who are not filthy rich.
Earlier in the week, this column reported the dire circumstances that good, hardworking Americans find themselves in because Republicans refuse to help them with jobs. Most of the people interviewed could not understand why Republicans were willing to cause them further economic harm for political reasons. The simple answer is that Republicans just do not care about the American people. During the Republican spending cut frenzy back in February, Speaker of the House John Boehner said that if the GOP’s cuts eliminated over a million jobs, “So be it.” Boehner continued his penchant for lying by claiming “America is broke” and could afford to kill jobs. However, if America is broke; why did Republicans block efforts to end oil company subsidies when they are posting record profits?
The Republican Party is gambling that they can use Americans’ racist tendencies to continue destroying the government and the people. Republicans still have support from poor Americans who are living hand-to-mouth with no hope of ever escaping a life of poverty because of their hate for a Black President. But what about Americans who are barely subsisting and would benefit from the president’s jobs program? They must feel abject betrayal from Republicans who are supposed to work for the people, but are actively killing jobs and attempting to eliminate all social safety nets while giving the savings to the wealthiest Americans. It is not that Republicans are unaware their policies are destroying Americans’ lives, because they see the poverty numbers and the people in their districts that are struggling to stay alive but they do not care. In fact, it is beginning to look like the GOP wants nothing more than a population of peasants who will accept China-level wages to avoid starvation.
There are pundits who believe that if Republicans win the White House and both houses of Congress, they will begin to create jobs. Anyone who believes Republicans will suddenly have a change of heart and help the American people are fools. Willard Romney has promised to give the wealthiest Americans trillions-of-dollars in tax cuts while the middle class is awarded a whopping $54 as a consolation, and he will privatize Medicare to punish the elderly. Romney’s plan is nothing more than a way to take taxpayer contributions to Medicare and send them directly to private, for-profit insurance companies. There is nothing Republicans have in store for the country that will benefit anyone other than corporations and the wealthy; their only goal is to reward the richest Americans by handing over Americans’ assets to corporations and if it means devastating poverty for 99% of the country, then, “So be it.”
Republicans are traitors. They have spent nearly three years assailing the American people with malice, and their poor, poverty-ridden supporters are complicit in what will prove to be their own demise. Is it entirely because President Obama is African-American? No, it is because Republicans have convinced them that handing over the government to corporations and the wealthy will magically transform them into the wealthy elite who get to run the country. It is astounding that people who are living in poverty support Republicans who are eliminating jobs and it calls into question the intelligence level of half of the country. It is either that or the simple fact that half of the country is as vindictive and evil as their heroes in the Republican Party.
At some point, Americans must look at Republicans and ask themselves; why do they hate us? Republicans do hate 99% of Americans who only want a decent living, a comfortable home, affordable health care, and the ability to prosper in what was the greatest country in the world. President Obama challenged Republicans to explain to the American people why they are blocking job creation efforts at every turn. The President said,” It’s time for Republicans in Congress to put country ahead of party and listen to the people they were elected to serve. It’s time for them to do their job and focus on Americans’ jobs.” The President knows why Republicans are not doing their jobs and why they will never listen to the people who elected them; it is because they hate America and the American people. They are callous, vindictive, and malicious dogs who will not be satisfied until the government is “drowned in a bathtub” so their precious corporations can take over and subjugate the entire population into a life of slavery. They are also traitorous monsters for actively pursuing a course of action to destroy the government; they deserve to be tried, convicted, and sent to federal prison for treason against the American people.

Truer words have never been written. There are fewer fools every day, thanks to the Occupy movement. I’m hoping our American Awakening will put paid to these type of people forever.

I’ve been calling for several of these traitorous RePigs to be indicted since early 2009 and MANY of them are running for president.
Obama and the Democratic Party should DEMAND indictments for these thieves of the American economy along with sending blood and treasure to WARS based on corporate profits and lies…..
They DESERVE far worse than prison – they so love the Constitution, yet try to KILL IT with every vote they take…..the death penalty would be more appropo to their crimes…just like the Founding Fathers intended…and so many on the Right approve of it, they CHEER at debates, so they should be all for it when TREASON AND SEDITION are charges…..

The Tea-publicans are our own home grown terrorists from within. They are no different in their desires to take down America than Al-Qaeda. In reality they are worse, because they falsely claim one thing, their actions betray their promises, they wrap themselves in a flag, swearing on the bible to tell the truth and uphold the Constitution, and every single syllable that comes out of their GREEDY ONE PERCENT mouths is a nothing but a LIE, intended with malice and fore-thought on destroying the economy, 99% of Americans, and our President.

The Republicans also know how to brainwash people better than the Democrats. The GOP puts workers against workers. The clerk at a corner store making $8.00 to $10.00 an hour begins to despise the union Safeway worker who makes much more an hour.
I knew of a person who worked for minimum wage, part time, had no health insurance, no money to fix her teeth but she loved George W. Bush and the Republicans. She said the Democrats were elitists who drank wine and ate arugala. Just look at ‘Joe the Plumber’ he made money out of being an asshole for the GOP. Then there are all those senior citizens who scream. ‘No socialism, hands off my medicare’. All that has to do with marketing. Republicans know how to do it. They connect emotionally and they scream a lot.

The Repub’s message is easier to get across because they rely on tribalism. Henri Tajfel proved that the simple act of dividing people into groups (or people dividing themselves) creates prejudice against their outgroup and in favour of their ingroup. We can train ourselves to look beyond that but we can’t stop it happening in the first place. Republicans, of course, don’t even try. In fact, they reinforce that tendancy endlessly by, well, lying about the outgroup (Democrats/liberals) until all the Republican followers care about is that their side wins. Not policies or positions, just someone on their side.

Another perfectly articulated comment! The GOP does brainwash people. What I don’t understand is that the positions make no sense at all…they are completely transparent. Why is it that people can’t seem to accept that or see that?

Nov. 5th, 2011 at 1:08 pm
It doesn’t make any sense, but they are doing this and doing it on purpose! To fail Obama is the excuse, but I wonder if that is the real reason? Thinking there is a bigger much darker plan under way. I wish someone could find it out. There is no real free press in the USA. The best investigative journalists are in other countries.
It’s a shame when our government hides stuff from us. But a worse shame is to be doing what they are doing.
This is very scary! I didn’t ever think I would have to be afraid of my own country! We are supposed to be taking the higher mral ground! We are supposed to be for truth and justice and freedom. Sad.

So the year that Obama wasted on his unpopular and unwanted healthcare plan must be patriotic right? When the economy was clearly tanking despite the stimulus, Obama chose to ignore it to pursue his own pet initiatives. It is the supreme irony that liberals never live up to the absolutionist moral standard they set up.

The healthcare bill was wanted. In fact the majority of people wanted single payer insurance for everyone.
The stimulus created over 3 million jobs, but even the stimulus cant make corporations spend money to hire. After all most corps are making huge profits. Your rant is ridiculous
fhc
Nov. 5th, 2011 at 9:08 pm
who didn’t want the healthcare plan? the GOP?
that healthcare plan was too conservative for most people.
the GOP is doing nothing but creating a very fragile social structure, which is going to nothing but lead to much bigger problems and — again astronomical spending.
i’m not sure why the GOP rants about DEMs spending — when they are the ones who completely wasted the surplus they were left with…on two wars, an unfunded prescription program and tax refunds that no one can even remember.
and Obama is to blame for pulling Wall Street’s butt out of the fire? please.

I wrote a blog in the past which was titled “Libertarians in Republican Clothing” which addressed the “Libertarian” sector of the Republican Party. This subject is virtually unkown to the majority of American voters.
Libertarianism is further confused in the American mind by the existence of the Tea Party, along with the relationship between the two camps.
If anyone is interested in America’s future PLEASE PLEASE go google information on the Libertarian Party and their objective goals for the future of the American Government. If Libertarians were residents in a foreign country with their long term sanctioned official goal to be THE COMPLETE DESTRUCTION OF THE AMERICAN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, we would brand such an organization as an extreme anti-American terrorist organization. But currently these same Libertarians hold elected positions in the American Congress after taking sham oaths to protect and defend America and all of her interests. Libertarians are at ease in maintaining this fallacious relationship in their Congressional positions based on their organization’s specious argument that the BEST GOVERNMENT FOR AMERICA IS NO GOVERNMENT AT ALL.

Sorry folks, I accidentally hit a key that posted my comment above before I had a chance to finish. To continue…
Ron Paul ran for president in 1988 as head of the Libertarian Party’s ticket and he recieved0.5% of the popular vote. So now Ron Paul is a Republican/Libertarian or as the MSM likes to frequently characterize all of the Libertarians in Congress, “He is a Republican with Libertarian LEANINGS”. What a joke. The American people need to be made aware of just what Libertarians stand for before they kill off the government. The 83 so-called Tea Party Republican House freshmen are all actually Libertarians, and their intent is to block every piece of legislation that might benifit the coutry from moving through the House. They have only the singular Libertarian goal in mind and that is to kill off the government, mainly through financial starvation. These people don’t care about a second term or the voters back home, they are dedicated fanatics. Even their leader cannot move them which is why the House cannot do anything legislatively. They will remain dedicated to their libertarian goals until they are removed from office. If in 2012 the number of Libertarians grow in the House and a large group of them are elected to the Senate the American government will be doomed, REGARDLESS OF WHO SITS IN THE WHITE HOUSE. You can take this prediction to the bank!

I have been shouting this from the roof and it keeps falling on deaf ears. The republicans head to the microphone on a daily basis to tell us exactly what the plan is and people are not listening. They are fulfilling the norquist mantra, and want the fed gov rendered useless with the exception of the military. The republican governors are passing legislation right and left to restrict the rights of their citizens as the congress and senate work to starve all funds to the government with the exception of military spending. The biggest revenues that come in are for social security and medicare, if people aren’t working these funds diminish, that is why keeping people unemployed is their number one goal. Make no mistake people, they want the fed gov to fail, and they have their billionaires like the koch brothers and murdoch keeping the people stirred up and angry so that we cannot see the actual destruction that is going on behind the scenes. This has gone beyond investigations that will never happen, in the end we will all have to hit the streets and join OWS and hope by Nov. 2012 we still have voting rights and a government in place to be able to vote new people in. Conservative means-small people, with small minds, with small ideas that will take our country BACK to the 1800s. Progressive means-Intelligent people, with big ideas that move our country into the future for the benefit of all americans.

firemen, police, teachers, all the support people that go to schools such as janitors, all the support people that help the police such as dispatchers who are not policeman, teachers aides, people that sell teaching supply goods, the people who sell the police cars and the computers that go in them, the people who make the school buses, the people who sell them, the gasoline that the school buses And police cars use are just a couple of examples of things that our government created economic increases to the economy.
How can you be so stupid?
I could go on about the people who build the buildings that the police the teachers and the firemen working in, the people who maintain the capital buildings around the country, the people who build the roads, run the libraries and build the libraries but I want even mention them because I’m not sure they will sink in for you

Oohh c’mon, use your head just a bit.
All those jobs Shiva mentioned allow a breadwinner and family to purchase things; and as consumers, their dollars go to pay for things like aluminum siding or heating oil for their homes, shoes and clothes for their kids, TVs, computers, cellphones, etc, etc, ALL of which benefit white collar workers at some point of production, delivery or retailing.
And let’s not forget that much of those wages spent are done so locally, at restaurants, the doctors or dentists office, on landscaping services, mechanics shop, at the mall etc etc.
Which means that those earned dollars get spent MANY TIMES OVER in the local community, helping to keep MANY small businesses up and running.
Do a bit of REAL thinking next time, you won’t appear so dense.

We can’t afford the programs like the hundreds of billions of dollars to bail out wall st fat cats who embezzle hundreds of thousands of peoples life savings and just put someone else in charge of the company with a $100 million a year bonus from my bailout dollars? Ok give me back all my social security and taxes taken from my wages over the last 60 years. I’m damn sure I earned it and can prove what I’m owed w/ my W2′s. I’ll deal with spending it how I see fit to take care of myself and better my country. What I’m owed in Social security I have paid but not collected will do more to help this country than their waste of $700 billion. That’s before I get my tax money back for every salary, bennie and stipend for those lazy do nothings on the hill. I paid good money for lousy service and I want my money back. They can all just write one more check they never intend to make good to the Congressional Bank

The problem is not one of jobs. People don’t need jobs. They need food, water, clean air, and a place to be useful to. Humans found these things for hundreds of thousands of years before civilization came along and made them into idiots. Security comes from being sure of where your next meal is coming from, not from a weapon system or a treaty. One cannot know where their next meal is coming from unless they are involved in obtaining it, or can shake the hand of the person who gets it for them. ALL of the debates about government are actually debates about money. Take money out of your decision process and you start to see how ridiculous we have become. Our System of systems must fail before we can become human beings again. Yes, the Republicans are jerks, but the Democrats are, too. This “choice” between the two is simply the same choice: “Be dependent upon money.” They all want the citizens to be working toward THEIR system, and their system is consuming our future. OUR future comes from the soil, air, and water, and how we take care of these things so that we will have soil, air and water in the future. Everything else is one form of blind faith or another. Any action taken based on unquestioned belief is evil. Do not be fooled by the bullies and their priests.

One other thing: “treason” implies that there is something about one’s geography which gives them authority over other people; makes them more ‘human’ than other humans. When a country claims that humans have certain rights, and then doesn’t respect those same rights for people who were not born within their geography drawing, then it is a lie. When a country claims that it is a democracy, but it gives more power to corporations than to its own citizens, then it isn’t a democracy. When the representatives come from one class (rich, corporate-sponsored elites), then it is not a democracy. When the votes are counted daily at the cash register, and ignored on election day, it is not a democracy. Can one commit treason against a country that is not what it says it is? If one insists on being heard over the noise of money, is that treason? If the land and the air rebel against a species, is it right to say that species has “dominion”? If God doesn’t present Himself to us, does He really exist? Blind faith is the real treason against the planet. Jobs? You think giving people mindless jobs in a growth and consumption-based system that is consuming their future is somehow NOT treasonous to our grandchildren.
