The US would be better off if some people followed the advice of one poor deluded sod who seems to *actually* believe the stuff he is saying. If the evangelical hard right really believes their magical nonsense they should cast their all future votes directly for Jesus, as suggested by Bill Keller. Jesus could then sort out all the messy complexity for the MagicBelievers.

That Jesus in the cartoon at the top really should be drawn as a Rob Liefeld Superhero. Possibly by Frank Miller, whose latest stuff (the infamous Holy Terror) is so bad, it convinced me he’s degenerated into a Rob Liefeld with whores. Yeah, that’s how cartoonish the GOP Fightin’ Jesus has become in their inevitably futile quest to save their God-Given Supremacy from, well, irrelevance.

What a frightening group. Freedom of religion is one thing, but freedeom to destroy the lives of others is sacrifical. Bring on the goats for slaughter on the altar. Are we turning the clock back hundreds of years?
