Joe Biden Authored the Violence Against Women Act so Fox News Calls Him a Sexist
Fox News is still so angry over the debate beating that Joe Biden gave Paul Ryan that they are insinuating that the Vice President of the United States is sexist.

Andrea Tantaros: I thought as a woman he just looked so cocky and so arrogant, and I thought, you know, every woman has worked in an office in the workplace with a Joe Biden. You know the guy that puts his finger in your face, the guy that sort of dresses you down, who knows more than you do — hey, honey, go make some coffee. That’s how I took it. You know what I thought? If he’s gonna behave that way in public with millions of people watching, how does he behave in private?
Dana Perino: When I was watching it I found myself not hearing Ryan’s first two sentences of every answer because I kept saying did that really just happen? Did he really just do that? Was he just laughing? Did I mishear something? What is going on? A lot of those snap polls looking at it for women that were watching it found all of those things to be true. Those were all men that we talked about just now, the Fox All Stars that were on last night. If the men felt that way, imagine how a woman feels. Let me just give you a tip, piece of advice, guys, if — say that you’re in your 60s, you’re thinking you would like to date again, if you want to know exactly how to turn off a woman, watch that debate last night and follow Biden’s lead.
After Fox failed to paint Joe Biden as a drunk who was drinking during the debate, they moved on describing his behavior as sexist towards women. The problem is that Biden’s career record tells the story of a man who has fought for equal rights. Biden voted for the Equal Pay Act in 2008. Biden was an advocate who fought for the Family and Medical Leave Act. Biden has been a consistent support of a woman’s right to choose, and his crowing achievement is his authorship of the Violence Against Women Act.
His opponent Paul Ryan has opposed equal pay for women, family and medical leave, the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, amendments to employment discrimination law, any sort of choice for women, and he supports the federal version of Personhood.
Only through the warped prism of Fox News could Joe Biden be painted as sexist, and Paul Ryan as the candidate who will protect women’s rights. Paul Ryan lost the debate so badly that Fox News is still trying to smear the vice president. The Republican “Young Gun” fired a dud at the debate and was outdrawn by the cool eye and steady hand of a veteran fighter for women.
Fox News is trying hard to weave a victory out of a crushing defeat, but both women and men know who is really on their side. One look at their voting records is enough to make it clear that the vice presidential candidate who is carrying the flag for a sexist agenda isn’t Joe Biden. It’s Paul Ryan.

Ignore Fox. Fox supports the pro-legitimate rape Republicans, and thus are pro-rape themselves. Fox is the American version of Al-Quaeda, and spews constant lies to support the Republican terrorists. What the Republicans want is the complete destruction/subjugation of anyone who is not a RICH WHITE YOUNG STRAIGHT MAN. Unemployment will do nothing but increase wherever Republicans have power. Biden like Obama is a truly decent human being. He was the poorest member of the Senate, was Joe, which of course doesn’t mean he WAS poor, but he did not enrich himself while in office. Good on him, as Molly Ivins used to say. Maybe he has foot in mouth problems, but he’s honest, and as far as DISRESPECT goes, was anything more disrespectful than Romney’s disgusting remarks about Obama over these last few months and in the debate?
Laughing at lies is not disrespect, it is righteous contempt for those lies. R&R – you have brought our contempt down upon yourselves. You are in over your head, Ryan, and you are in this for relgious and narcissistic reason, Romney – and anyone who calls you out is doing that in the interests of this nation.
I love Biden who loves all of us ordinary, not rich people. Same with the president. He cares about us. NOTHING from R&R speaks to me in any way about passion for justice, for our Constitution, for law, or for the American people. It’s all about them. It’s NOTHING to do with us.
Thank you, Mr. Vice President, for the VAWA – it matters. And I knew we could trust you to be there for us. Be proud FOX disses you – it says you’re on the correct and humane path.

They have enough money, Molly, that they know if they, or one of their female relatives needed/wanted to have an abortion, they could charter a plane and fly to Canada where restrictions on abortion were declared illegal in 1988. If they’re sexually harassed on the job, they call the lawyer they have on retainer. They earn enough money to pay in cash for any medical procedure they and their family members will need, in most cases. They don’t worry about being fairly compensated for their work because they have agents, and they’re most likely members of a journalists’ union–something they don’t tell their viewers. They can shill for Paul Ryan with a smile on their faces because their money insulates them from having to deal with many of the problems that a majority of us regular females have to deal with. I call it selling one’s soul for money.

I have worked for the type of old guy that Andrea talks about. I know EXACTLY what she means. However, she’s clearly never had to personally deal with that or she wouldn’t be accusing Joe Biden of being like that! As a voter, who also happens to be female, I cheered him every time he called *bullshit* We need a few more politicians like him on the Hill!

Does Andrea Tantaros mean that Vice President Biden was trying to say to Paul Ryan, “Honey, go make some coffee”? The only drinking I saw during the debate was Ryan gulping water. (I assume it was water.) Twenty-one times he grabbed for that glass which I think is a sign of dry mouth caused by nerves. It’s amusing to watch the gang at Fox squirm and try to come up with excuses. They should be good at it by now, but they just never seem to learn. I’m happy they let Joe by Joe. He’s the real deal and he’s armed with the truth. A pleasure to watch him in action.

I’ve worked with men like that – and then I’ve worked with men like VP Biden. Men like Biden who respect women enough to let them make their own decisions. Men who are not threatened by strong, intelligent women who have as much to bring to the table as anyone. These are the men who do not mind one bit if a woman earns as much – or more – than him as long as she does the job she was hired to do. Men who know that women who don’t join the workforce but choose to stay home and raise their children, contribute just as much to society as they do.
Those men, like Joe Biden, are REAL men. These men are not sexist and to try and put this label on the Vice President is nothing more than the last gasps of desperation. They are losing and they know it so they call him an alcoholic and say he’s sexist. If the President does anything remotely similar as Biden did to the boy wonder (and here’s hoping he does), they’ll lay all kinds of labels on him, too, and I don’t even want to speculate what vile things they’ll conjure up.

I am continually dropping my jaw while reading or listening to Mitt Romney’s supporters attempt to explain away what everyone saw at the VP debates. Fot example, the women commentators for Fox News seem educated, yet they castigate Joe Biden and praise Paul Ryan. Don’t they know that Paul Ryan votes against women’s rights?
This is hardball politics. The outcome is too important to allow Mitt Romney et al to slither by on generalities and misinformation. This is not a teapary.
If Joe Biden appeared desperate or overly exuberant debating Paul Ryan it was for the cause of truth. I hope that Paul Ryan would so enthusiastically defend truth when seeing it trampled.

The folks on FOX NOISE are grasping at straws in an effort to discredit VP Biden for his masterful, fact-filled debate with Lyin’ Ryan. Anyone who thinks this man is a sexist is residing in Bizarroland, especially the women on FOX going along with this “malarkey.” They can dish it out when one of them is rude and agressive, but they can’t take it. What I’m sure they find most galling is that Joe Biden boxed Paul Ryan in a corner he could not get out of. Ryan was in the position of defending an untenable ideology, and in doing so, he exposed the indefensible policies he and Romney espouse.

Andrea Tantaros is out of her mind. Joe Biden is not at all like she describes, and I can speak from multiple personal experiences that all the men like she describes that I have encountered throughout my career have been Republicans. No exaggeration.

I would like to ask all of the women on Fox who claim they want no government funded birth control what they use for birth control. They have to use something or maybe their just not having sex at all. That would explain their nasty hatefilled attitude.
