John Boehner Calls Obama Sick For Making It Tough on Republicans
In an interview with CNBC, Speaker of the House Boehner said that President Obama is sick for making post-sequester life hard for Republicans.
In an interview with the always Republican friendly Larry Kudlow, Boehner whined that President Obama was making it tough for House Republicans. Boehner said, “The President is trying to make it tough on members of Congress. It’s just silly. I want to know who is being laid off at the White House. The Capitol is open for tours. We’ve been planning for this for months.”
John Boehner thinks it is sick that President Obama is trying to hold him and his House Republicans accountable for their sequester. Republicans apparently find anyone trying to hold them accountable for their own actions nauseating. The country has witnessed first hand that House Republicans don’t do accountability. They are all about manufacturing crisis situations that they can use as weapons for political gain.
What is really sick is the fact that Speaker Boehner has consistently lied to the American people. Boehner has said in interview after interview that the House had already passed a sequester replacement. The Speaker is well aware that the passage of the bill occurred in the last Congress, and is no longer valid. Yet, he has continued lie on a daily basis. What is even sicker than that is the fact that Boehner considers depriving 1.7 million people of food, “common sense cuts.”
The reason why Boehner is outraged is because Republicans don’t want there to be any visual evidence that the sequester is impacting the economy. Republicans have been claiming that the sequester would be painless. They have been selling these cuts as something that people won’t even notice. The problem for Republicans is that as time goes by people are going to notice. When workers start losing their jobs back home, House Republicans are going to have a huge problem on their hands.
Here’s a newsflash for John Boehner. President Obama is supposed to be making it tough on Republicans. Boehner wants Obama to roll over and give him everything that he wants. How dare the president actually stand up for working people? This president must be sick if he wants Republicans to be held accountable for their actions. Obama isn’t giving in. The president is going to give Boehner what he wants, so all the Speaker can do is whine how Obama is making life hard for him.
President Obama is doing his job. It’s too bad that John Boehner has no interest in doing his.

It’s ok for them to make Obama’s job infinitely more difficult, but for Obama to do it to them…HOW DARE HE? What they are afraid of is their plummeting approval ratings. Just as the economy was beginning to recover they allow the sequester to go into effect. It’s their doing, they are trying to kill economic growth.

Its against the Constitution
The Twenty-seventh Amendment (Amendment XXVII) prohibits any law that increases or decreases the salary of members of the Congress from taking effect until the start of the next set of terms of office for Representatives. It is the most recent amendment to the United States Constitution. It was submitted to the states for ratification in 1789, but was not adopted until 1992.

Not true.
They pay attention to the First — but only because they think its SOLE purpose is justifying the Second.
They pay attention to the Tenth (limits on federal gov’t power) — but only because they constantly feel threatened by an “ever-expanding” federal gov’t (and therefore need more guns to protect themselves.)
They pay attention to the Thirteenth (abolition of slavery) — but only because they like to remind us that it was their idea . . . which isn’t true, but since when have they ever cared about historical facts?
They pay attention to the Fourteenth (Citizenship) — but only because they feel it should be amended (if not repealed outright) in the wake of the election of a Kenyan Muslim Socialist President.
They pay attention to the Sixteenth (establishment of federal income tax) — but only because of their desire to repeal it.
See? They recognize other Amendments . . .

Well you’ll have to forgive me for not giving a damn about how put out John Boehner and other Republicans feel over how they’re being treated by the President.
Time and time again I have seen stories about how conciliatory the President is toward Republicans and people on the left give him a lot of grief for that – yet the President still tries to reach out to them. Yet, time and time again, he has been rebuffed.
I think the President is pretty much at the end of his patience limit with these people and now that the shoe is on the other foot, Boehner is crying into his wine.
Furthermore, this kerfuffle over the White House tours is really amazing. They care that kids won’t get to visit the White House on school trips but at the same time they are letting funding for food stamps and school lunch programs get cut because they don’t want to raise taxes on a few thousand billionaires? They don’t care about these kids, they’re just using this as an excuse to bash the president, just like they’ve used every other inconsequential thing to bash him over. Golf, vacation, now White House tours.
Well tough. Grow up, act like the adults you’re supposed to be, and get to work.

Speaker of the House, John Boehner has a Bipolar condition and is seriously in need of medication or hospitalization. He has such highs and lows and usually low and crying. I think calling Boehner bi-polar is a bit of a stretch. First off, that’s a medical diagnosis that none of us are qualified to make. Secondly, I wouldn’t even, from my own observations, say I see the highs and lows associated with bi-polar disorder.
What I **do** see, however, is very visible signs of a “weepy drunk”. We’ve all seen them. Some guys get aggressive when drunk, some get happy and lovey, some get weepy.

How much do tax subsidies to corporations cost the treasury?
It is important to note that many reports on Corporate Subsidies include other things such as Tax Expenditures. Thus, one of the reasons for the conflicting dollar amounts between reports. This effort attempts to focus just on Corporate subsidies, but does reference reports that include Tax Expenditures. That said, the most common figure quoted for Corporate Subsidies only is about $100 billion each year.

We know Boehner will cry at the drop of a tear, and his whining is just typical of a jealous loser. Sequestration has been around for much longer than thought, but the sequestration devil rose and spoke on the House floor:
The states with the biggest military installations are the states where sequestration will hit the hardest. Look around your state and see which military installations will be effected the greatest.
It’s more than sequestration that matters. These same TEA-quest-traitors are maneuvering around immigration reform which was caused by previous presidents and Mexico during the “Bracero Program” from 1942 until 1964. Farmers and ranchers called for cheap labor and now many have been here long enough to have grandchildren as basis for allowing them full citizenship.
It is hoped that the TEA-Republican’s and all the Democrats in Washington DC are paying attention to the wishes of the Hispanic/Latino community. It is hoped that they remember the consequences of 2012 and how the Hispanic/Latino community backed president Obama and most of his party across the nation. The Hispanic/Latino community are much better versed with the internet and more knowledgeable on bigotry and prejudice as addressed across this country. We all are aware of TEA-Republican’s chomping at the bit to gut the Voting Rights Act and specifically Section 5 to give states greater influence in determining voters rights. But, it is at the local and state level where TEA party influence controls the Republican party, and giving local people the right to determine if a person can vote and when should never be abridged. There is a pervasive shove to disenfranchise voters across the land by local and state legislators with shortening time to vote or requiring photo ID’s to be able to vote. Here’s a video which shows the pervasive actions of the extreme right winged segment of the white community:
The year 1965 is still here in huge portions of the country and the voting rights act is just as important, including section 5. In fact, this should be applied all across the nation. The phrase, “an insidious and pervasive evil which had been perpetuated in certain parts of our country through unremitting and ingenious defiance of the Constitution” holds true today just as much as it did back then. In Alabama, because the city had not obtained pre clearance from federal authorities, it could not revise its voting list using utility records. Nor could it use a municipal redistricting plan enacted by the City Council that had concentrated black voters, who are in the majority, into just two of the five districts, limiting black voting power. Voting should be in proportion to the ethnic diversity of the state. We will Vote in the 2014 Mid-term and in 2016.

My intuition says that Cheney is still in control. That he controls the purse strings of the oil companies and that they are funding this stalemate. The idea that the republican’ts are stupid or perhaps crazy I think is a red herring. These days they have the air of men determined to make as much money as possible out of this crisis before they relent. I wonder if they will blink before the economy goes down in flames? They seem to want us all poor enough that we’ll have to take our children out of school and put them to work in factories . . .again.

The GOP leaders should have all been charged with treason or the Sabotage Act when they plotted to destroy our economy at a cover meeting January 20, 2009 during President Obama’s inauguration night…..Paul Ryan, Eric Cantor, Kevin McCarthy, Pete Session, Tom Coburn, and the rest are traitors to the American people and they are still holding back on passing the American Jobs Act that could put food on the table and a roof over many homeless families. For shame that Boehner claims the president is making it hard for the Republicans. They wrote the Sequester bill (had to, it’s a REVENUE bill and the Constitution makes that clear in Article 1, Section 7, that those can ONLY originate in the House of Reps). The GOP House passed it, wanted it, got 98 percent of what they wanted out of it. And now, it seems, they have been ‘planning for it for MONTHS’ (which doesn’t seem to indicate they were planning on doing anything to AVOID it) and now don’t want to take the heat for it?
Grow up, Boehner, put on the ‘big boy panties’, and for once, you are going to not be able to dodge actually LIVING being in the supposed ‘Party of personal responsibility’.

Think about it a minute folks. I have read a bunch of real good posts, but, you are not looking at facts. When the committee failed to get a deal and the sequester was started 16 months ago, McCain and a few other neocons kept saying they were not going to let it happen to their precious (MIC). They kept throwing bill after bill at it, anywhere from repealing ACA to making all the cuts to social programs and take away from the MIC cuts. After last years GOP austerity from 2 years ago took place, we had a percentage drop in the GDP in the last quarter. After they saw that it would hurt Americans and Obama’s legacy, suddenly they stopped trying to stop the sequester. ANY QUESTIONS?
