John Boehner’s so Broken and Defeated All He Can Do is Sort of Quote Kid Rock Lyrics
Here’s the video from ABC News:
Unfortunately your browser does not support IFrames.
Boehner said, “At some point we’re going to have to address the spending problem that we have, but we can’t cut our way to prosperity. We need real economic growth. Fundamental reform of our tax code will help us get our economy moving faster and put more Americans back to work and more Americans on the tax rolls. How we get there, God only knows.”
In his sadness, Speaker Boehner may have gotten the lyric mixed up, but is there any doubt that he was listening to Only God Knows Why by Kid Rock last night?
Poor Boehner is so sad that cigarettes and Kid Rock may his only comforts.
However, you don’t need God to figure out how we “get there.” The answer is that House Republicans may have to do exactly what President Obama wanted from the beginning. Extend the Bush tax cuts for the 98%, while letting them expire on the wealthy. House Republicans can do this, or go off the cliff.
The new Congress can restore the spending cuts when it is sworn in after the holidays. Republicans had one shot to get something for nothing on the fiscal cliff, and they blew it.
Merry Christmas, John Boehner. At least you still have a friend in Kid Rock.

Drunk in the Morning.

“I take too many pills…. only god knows why…” Take your pick, it always comes back to the drug and drink with this guy!

The position Speaker Boehner finds himself in 10 days before December 31st is a direct result of the obstructionism and political posturing of House Republicans since the president’s first term began. The GOP has allowed itself to be taken over by a bunch of rabid blowhards who have no intention of governing, and every intention of jamming their bizarre policies down our throats. Their rejection of his Plan B because it didn’t go far enough for them was a predictable outcome, because they have no understanding of how government is supposed to work. Their desire to thwart a president whom they tried and failed to make a one-term president overshadows everything, including their commitment to the people they were elected to serve.

first let me say anne has it right. here is how i see mr boehners holiday. mr. speaker cannot control his own party and if he makes any sort of deal that has a chance of passing with a combination of democrat and republican votes he won’t be elected speaker.now he has a choice to make….go off the cliff or make a deal that will pass as described. if we go off the cliff he and the republicans will be blamed by the nation. if he makes a deal the tea party will not let him be speaker. happy holidays mr. speaker.

I have no sympathy for Boehner, the republicans in Congress, or those throughout the country because they all united to elect the extremists that are in both Houses of Congress in 2010, and they did it because they hate the president. I can imagine that the rank and file republicans they had no idea that these politicians would being the country to its knees. They are reaping what they sowed, and the chickens have come home to roost and spread poop everywhere. I also have no sympathy for the progressives who are screaming about them because, even after the president warned them to not give the car keys to the republicans again, they did not show up and vote to prevent them from gaining a big foothold in Congress. And thanks to extreme gerrymandering, these nutcases know they’ll most likely remain in Congress until after the 2020 Census is taken.

I think our politicians should stay in Washington and finish this fiscal issue….forget their holiday until they finish the job……Maybe Mr Boehner would finally get over his big old ego and forget the drama. He just can’t get over the fact that the good ole boys are not running the show any longer. Thank God.

IF you want to talk about God Only Knows, I prefer The Beach Boys.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God...
It’s on many lists of the best songs of all time.
God only knows… where I’d be without you.
SEE.. togetherness, cooperation, and yes love.
It’s called community.
If you REALLY want to talk about God, the bible says I am my brother’s keeper and we should be subject to one another. It’s called the ethic of reciprocity (or the golden rule for short).
Where is YOUR ethic of reciprocity mr speaker?

I tried to use the opportunity to connect with Mitch Mcconnell and Rand paul about this situation since they left DC early. I got a recorded message that they were out of office until after the holidays. I thought they come home to talk to constituents. I guess you have to be the 1% to speak with these 2 as my message to John Yarmuth got through easily.
