First She Got Owned By An 8 Year Old Now Michele Bachmann’s Book Has Bombed
First Michele Bachmann got owned by an 8 year old, now comes the news that the Republican presidential candidate’s new book has sold only 3,000 copies in two weeks.
Minnesota Public Radio reported,
Michele Bachmann’s weak poll numbers may be showing up in slow sales of her memoir, Core of Conviction. In the two weeks since the book was released, it’s sold just 3,000 copies despite a media blitz and numerous book-signing events by Bachmann.
Those numbers come from Nielsen BookScan, which gets the information directly from Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble and most other retailers. The company estimates its sales numbers capture 75 percent of the book market although it currently does not get information from discount retailers Wal-Mart or Sam’s Club.
Republicans have gamed the bestseller list for years. The way the scam works is that conservatives have had media outlets, lobbyists, and PACs buy bulk copies of the book to pad their sales numbers. For example, Sarah Palin’s America By Heart made # 2 on the New York Times bestseller list by, “having SarahPAC purchase $64,000 worth of her books. Oh but the Grifter in Chief was not satisfied with taking donations from her supporters and buying books, no the true genius was the twist that Palin has been trying to sell signed copies of the books back to her followers for $100 a pop.”
Top Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney made the bestseller list by,”declining speaking fees, and instead requiring institutions to buy thousands of copies of his book.”
The difference between Bachmann the other Republican bestsellers is that her numbers aren’t based on books bought by her PAC and outside groups. Bachmann’s sales numbers also didn’t include Wal-Mart, but considering the fact that she is a high profile House Republican, and a presidential candidate, these sales numbers are horrible. 1,500 copies a week despite a media blitz, and book signings is almost mind boggling. Bachmann had to be trying not to sell books.
Bachmann’s bomb is more evidence of the fact that the only way most conservatives can sell books is if they cheat the system.
It seems that the only people who are buy copies of Bachmann’s book are 8 year olds who want to give her a talking to about her views on homosexuality.

Jason,
Elijah’s mommy should be taken to task for having him say to Bachmann what she didn’t have the nerve to say herself! That poor kid, being prodded to speak mommy’s words…
And to Elijah’s mommy: SHAME on you for using your child to deliver YOUR MESSAGE!!
Otherwise – Michele needs to keep spinning in the bottom of the bowl. Eventually, someone in the GOP will flush her away!

I agree, the message would have been much stronger had the woman said what she had to say herself. However, these people force their archaic, harmful (lies) beliefs on their children and expect them to speak up about it. I don’t see much difference here except that the message was weak and almost unintelligible.

How do we know that it was’t the boy’s idea?

Because as you can plainly see in the video the young boy didn’t want to do it, that’s why he spoke so softly.
Had it been his idea he would have spoken with conviction and wouldn’t have needed prodding by his mother to do so.
It’s plain to see that his mother put him up to it because she doesn’t have what it takes to confront Michele Bachmann on her own.
I feel sorry for the kid for being put in that position as I’m sure Michele was also.
Michele Bachmann is a very nice person and a Constitutional Conservative with nothing but your best interest at heart, yet most all comments here bash her like a bunch of 13 year old twits that doesn’t have a clue about politics and what’s happening in the world today.
Hopefully none of you Bachmann bashers, Obozobots are old enough to vote.
The truth is the most valuable thing anybody on earth can posses.
I suggest you search for it with total conviction until you find it.
Your life depends on it.
The most powerful thing anybody can posses is an idea, as everything in existence today was once an idea. Take notice that I didn’t confine an idea to the planet earth as I did with the truth.
The only beings that are deceived is mankind by the powers that be.
Take that into consideration when you are mature enough to vote with a rational and logical decision about the future fate of America and the fate of your children and grandchildren.
Their fate hangs in the balance of your decision, vote wisely, vote conservatively.
God bless America, she needs it more now than ever.

you are making assumptions about the boy.
As far as Michelle Bachmann being a constitutional conservatives, that is truly hilarious. She has proven time and time again she has no idea what’s in the constitution, doesn’t want to take the time to learn and and she is just saying all this stuff so she can be a tea party Queen
I strongly suggest that you search for the truth. She belongs to a religion that does not represent Christianity and never will. On top of that she is a fruitcake

katie, if you read the whole story, Elijah’s mom wanted to leave but the boy did not. He wanted to say what his mom was going to and had the courage to do so. If anything, we should be thanking her for having raised a son brave enough to speak truth to power.

If this cesspool was elected, you wouldn’t hear much about the constitution. All you would hear from the whitehouse is Gaydar the 1st screaming about those homos’s that need fixing.

Oh that’s a shame. More people are reading her fictional diaries than are reading her actual book. I’d cry, but I’m too busy giggling and rolling on the floor.

Nice only 3,000 copies. Perhaps the voting public isn’t as uninformed as I thought.

This is priceless! I am so proud of Ars and Elijah. That took a lot of bravery on his part, but you can see in his expression, that he wanted to say it himself. There was not the tension or tears that you would see on a child’s face, if he had been forced to say those words. Ars is my friend and I know that she would not force her child to say something that was not HIS opinion and truth. She is a very loving and attentive mother.

I found it pretty sick that this woman would send a child up there to do her dirty work. I wouldn’t want my kid anywhere near that looney. I disagree with Bachman but there’s no way in hell I’d subject my child to that, and then hurry and run off! Pretty classless.

perhaps you should read the accounts of this occurrence. The mother wanted to leave, the child went up and did this on his own.

I did read the accounts. Woman wanted to leave because she got nervous but the kid wouldn’t let her yadda yadda. She sure wasn’t too nervous to stand there and film it. Story doesn’t wash. I know what she was trying to do. I get it. There is something insidious about involving an 8 year old in something like that. If she wanted to face down Bachman she should have left her kid at home and did it. I could respect that. How do you feel whenever you see the loons from that Baptist church sending their kids out with the God kills fags dead signs? Different message but same principal.
