(sigh) Try reading . . . the title of the article is:

Obama Becomes the 6th President in History to be Elected Twice with 51% or More of the Vote

Monroe got 50.4% of the vote in 1812

This article is inaccurate. At least one other President was reelected with over 51%. James Monroe. Monroe actually had over 80% of the popular vote, and only lost one electoral vote. The only reason he lost one electoral vote is that elector felt that only George Washington should have 100% of the electoral votes. How’d you forget Monroe?

After New York gets fully counted you will not have to round up to get to 51% for Obama in 2012. It will be a straight 51%.

Do you not count: Washington, Jefferson and Monroe and if you round up from 50.7% in his first election Reagan?
