Obama Campaign Pushes Back Against Mitt Romney’s Bigotry
Wow. This is just so easy.
The day after President Obama made history by becoming the first sitting president to openly support marriage equality, Mitt Romney has been outed as a vicious, bullying homophobe and the Obama campaign came out swinging against Mitt’s bigotry.
The new Obama campaign video pointing out that Mitt Romney is to the right of George W Bush on the issue of gay marriage is the cherry on top of a very bad day for Mitt.
The Obama campaign has come out with a video rebuttal to Romney’s stance on gay marriage, entitled “On marriage equality, Romney would take America backwards.” In it, they point out that Mitt Romney is to the right of George W Bush, who supported civil unions unlike Mitt Romney.
The Obama campaign points out that Mitt Romney wants to make history of his own by amending the Constitution to roll back—rather than expand—equal rights for Americans. Romney pledged to overtly work to roll back the United States Constitution to make our national Constitution anti-gay marriage.
Such an amendment would be the FIRST amendment in history to discriminate and deny rights. This is a rather salient point that all Americans should be paying attention to, for we do not give and take away Constitutional rights via the tyranny of the majority (per North Carolina), nor do we limit and/or take away Constitutional rights via amendments.
We certainly shouldn’t allow personal bias and/or faith to impact the rights of others, for this is a dangerous precedent that opens the door for the Trojan horse. If you vote to take away Billy and Bob’s rights today, that means Billy and Bob can vote away your rights tomorrow.
Maybe Billy and Bob and all of their friends are going to get fed up with self-proclaimed conservative “Christians” legislating their warped morality onto all Americans, sort of like these same “Christians” claim Muslims are doing. Maybe Billy, Bob and their friends are going to propose an amendment to ban these “Christians” from marrying, because they are destroying the sanctity of marriage (see Newt, Vitter, Sanford, et al) with their blatant disregard for their vows.
Or maybe these “Christians” are going to come after inter-racial marriage next, and fight for school segregation. Now imagine this on the federal level, with a President who has decided that his personal beliefs trump the liberty of other citizens. Romney thinks he is entitled to diminish, at a federal level, the rights of citizens.
Wherever this is going, it’s not forward. We are a representative democracy precisely to avoid rule by mob and we are a country that stands for individual liberty and freedom. We do not use amendments to the federal Constitution to specifically deny rights to citizens. This entire notion is flawed, it’s abhorrent, and it does not belong in adult debate.
Let us remember that the question is not how does Mitt Romney feel about gay marriage, or even how do we feel about gay marriage, but what does America stand for and do we, as citizens, want to sanction the denial of rights on a federal level to any citizen?
But even if the majority of Americans never realize just how un-American this is, most will get the simple idea that Mitt Romney wants to take this country back. The Obama campaign doesn’t even have to break a sweat for this stuff, because Mitt Romney allowed his party to move him to the Right of crazy by aligning himself with the most extreme factions of the Republican Party.
Mitt Romney is Paul Ryan’s cruel, out of touch budget meeting Sarah Palin’s arrogant allergy to the truth, topped off by Scott Walker’s King complex. Now he wants to use the Constitution to do what he didn’t manage to finish in prep school.
Thanks, but no thanks, Mitt.

I think Romney is not the candidate. I think he is the one who will run for president, but the real candidates are the people pushing him to be what they want him to be. Much in the same vein that Bush was never really president(except for swearing in and moving out). Cheney was the real pres.
I think thats part of why Romney is never for the same thing twice. I want to see him more aligned with the compadres on Congress. I want to see him embrace the ryan plan and the plan the GOP house put out todasy breaking the agreement on budget they had with Obama. I want to see the idiot declare he is behind taking food from kids and the elderly like Ryan did today.
He is not really a candidate and he is saying nothing when he says anything. Thats why it is so easy for Obama to bury him. Especially when Obama knows Romney is just going to answer back like a 5 year old

Oh, you’re absolutely right. Really, there are two candidates and neither is Romney. One is Grover Norquist on the non-social issues side, and the other is the tea party and their last ditch desperate attempt to force Romney as far right as they can. Neither will be anything but a disaster for this country. This is exactly why we can’t get him to commit to much of anything, why he avoids, like the plague, discussing anything in depth. They aren’t HIS policies, his beliefs, they are what he’s told to think. Grover has found his perfect puppet here. A man with no core, no set of beliefs other than personal ambition, and therefore a man who will say anything to get elected.

(Although this paper focuses on lost persons in the “Northeastern Bermuda Triangle” outlined roughly by New York City, Montreal, and Boston, I’m sharing it with everyone everywhere.)
You who identify with GBLT (no, not Gay Bacon Lettuce & Tomato!) already know about your own history. So for the unlearned I’ll include some info on it, much of which is on the internet.
Gay activist John McKellar has stated: “The major media are all nonstop advertisements for the gay lifestyle, so how far are they prepared to go in denying free speech to Christians, Muslims, and Jews?….No major world religion has ever accepted homosexual behavior. And if [gay] activists had any sense of history, they’d realize their own lifestyle is a symptom of an overurbanized, relativized culture heading into decadence.”
Thomas Jefferson revealed that in Virginia, “dismemberment” of the offensive sex organ was the penalty for sodomy, and he himself authored a bill penalyzing sodomy by castration. The same internet article, “Homosexuals in the Military” by David Barton, also stated that sodomy , homosexuality etc. were regarded as felonies in early America and were even punishable by death in New York, Connecticut, South Carolina, and Vermont!
You GBLTs have traveled far. You are now helping to fulfill two big signs that Jesus said (in Luke 17) will characterize life on earth just before His return to it: “days of Noah” (physical violence) and “days of Lot” (your GBLT ancestors).
Even the New York Times has expressed amazement over the suddenness and pushiness of today’s campaign for legalizing same-sex marriage, and Prof. David M. Halperin wrote that “lesbian and gay studies scholars” have led the way in fighting against policies that “criminalize gay sex or limit access to abortions.”
I said early on that the Bible’s God is behind you GBLTs. Yes, He’s behind you and even pushing you down the dead-end road you have insisted on taking. Several scary Bible passages show that God will actually “program” those whose motto seems to be “HELL-BOUND AND HAPPY!”: “the Lord God…gave them up to desolation” (II Chron. 30:7); God “gave them up to uncleanness,” “gave them up to vile affections,” “gave them over to a reprobate mind” (Rom. 1:24,26,28); “God shall send them strong delusion” (II Thess. 2:11); and “he which is filthy, let him be filthy still” (Rev. 22:11).
Now that you GBLTs have invented strange architecture (closets opening on to main streets instead of bedrooms!), have traded limp wrists for clenched fists, and are fighting for shame-sex marriage, I wonder if you will be happy when you’ve turned New York into New Yuck, Boston into Bah!-ston, and other places into Messychoose-its, Nude Hampshire, Vermin, and Cana-duh (where at least the maple leaves will be blushing!). And of course I should include Hell-A and San Fransissyco which, appropriately, are in Quake-ifornia!
So what are you waiting for? Since you’re bent on fulfilling the predicted end-time Noah/Lot days (your way of helping to make the Bible even more believable!), and since seemingly you’d rather discover the “wrathful Judge” side of Christ instead of His “merciful and loving and forgiving” side, can’t you speed up your role and get it over with? You’re holding up the true and everlasting peace that God wants to give to the whole world!
