He actually emailed me a response how there were circumstances that I may not understand. That to raise the taxes on the 1% would mean jobs not being created.

I responded with they should have banked a lot of money since the higher tax rates of the Clinton Administration. And we were not seeing record job creation to match the record lows on the tax rates, and that jobs created in China or India could not be counted.

I told him the tax rates needed to return to Clinton era rates. That social security, medicare, medicaid, and unemployment were not the entitlements to be cut at this time. Unemployment was a result of jobs being off-shored.

I told him also that cuts I expected to see were in Congressional staffing, and travel should be coach not first class. Exploratory trips outside the US should be eliminated. That companies performed these cuts when the economy was bad, Congress should follow that example.

I told him in addition to the increased tax rates on the privileged 1%, that the loop holes should be closed. Loop holes were an example of poor writing or worse deceptive writing to create the loopholes. Also, since during this election our churches decided to flaunt the law and campaign from the pulpit for specific candidates, they should repeal the tax exemption on churches with a 10% tax on churches.

I did not get a response on that one.
