Obama’s Job Approval Jumps To Highest Point Since 2011
By: RayOct. 24th, 2012more from Ray
According to Gallup, President Obama’s job approval rating has jumped to 53% since the third presidential debate. The significance of this is two fold. First, the jump occurred very close to the election. This is one hurdle cleared in order for the President to be re elected decisively.
Second, this is President Obama’s highest approval rating by Gallup since Bin Laden’s death in May of 2011. President Obama realized a huge surge in the job approval ratings when he announced he had Bin Laden killed. It surged to 53% in May of 2011.
This poll is also the first poll after Romney’s “leading from behind” debate performance. People have realized two things. Romney has no plan on foreign policy, and Obama is doing his job fairly well. It’s all a big fail on Romney’s part.
Job approval ratings have been the gauge of past elections. Most Presidents do not get re elected if their job approval numbers are below 50%, and most get re-elected if their job approval numbers are above 50%.
The latest exception was George W Bush, who had a job approval of less than 50% on Election Day 2004.

Great news. Only want to point out that Bush’s low approval coincided with the fact he apparently did NOT win the election but stole it, so it upholds the observation.

Why doesn’t Trump make the same offer to Mitt Romney? Offer a $5million dollar donation for 1 more year of his Tax returns in exchange for a donation to a charity of Romney’s choice? Oh I forgot that is talking like one of the 47%. Romney can than give it to the Morman Church. I am more interested in Romney’s Tax returns. Would someone ask Why Romney did not get the same offer: My opinion because Romney would not release his taxes for 500 million because then he would risk being lord in cheif.

Great news for Obama and the economy will come around . It just takes time. It took Bush/Cheney eight yr. to ruin the country. It’s going to take any President at least that long to clean it up.
As for Trump’s big announcement. Big Deal . Anyone with any clout knows he is an idiot.
I had much rather see Romney’s tax returns than Obama’s transcript because we already know how intelligent and classy our President is, but nobody but Ann and their acct. know what Mitt is hiding.

of course he must be re-elected. what would happen to our country if nuts like congressman king in missori or that guy mourdock in indiana became senators and romney became president? Those GOP religious nuts are now saying that if a woman becomes pregant because of rape it is because GOD wants her to have a baby! Exactly how much are any Americans willing to accept? If eveything is God’s will, then the rape was also his will, so are wars, cancer, hurricanes and everyrt catastrophy on earth; earthquakes, tsunmais et al. About babies born without limbs or blinds, is tyat also GOD’s will?

Tea Partiers seem to have a low opinion of god, as well as Obama. If they are so in favor of god’s will, why do they put all their energy in opposing everything except their own agenda?

This gives me the greatest confidence that he will win the election!. thanks for letting us all know.. I will continue to work for him and Paul Sadler for Senator from Texas, as if I had no confidence, however.
