Sarah Palin projects her own faults onto the President
Sarah Palin ended her holiday season silence today by popping up on the Laura Ingraham radio to show to launch into a rant about how Obama is intentionally trying to weaken America. Palin said, “What I believe that Obama is doing right now — he is hell-bent on weakening America.”

After whining about the nomination process, and blasting John McCain for daring to suggest bi-partisan immigration reform, Palin went on a paranoid rant about how she doesn’t trust Obama and the White House, “I don’t personally trust what comes out of the White House. I think, and you know, this is probably going to be a take-away for you, Laura, and it’s gonna get some people all wee-weed up again, but let me tell you: What I believe that Obama is doing right now — he is hell-bent on weakening America.”
Palin then gave her “evidence” to support her point, “He has told us, back in March 2006, he told us that it weakens America, domestically and internationally, to raise the debt — to raise the debt ceiling, right? And he said it is a sign of failed leadership to support raising the debt ceiling, and now he is doing exactly that. So what Obama is doing — purposefully weakening America — because he understood that debt weakened America, domestically and internationally, and yet now he supports increasing debt.”
The problem is that Obama never said that raising the debt ceiling weakens America. According to The Hill, here is what he said in March 2006, “Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership.”
Palin doesn’t seem to understand that raising the debt ceiling in the pre-recession era in order to pay for tax cuts and war was a lack of leadership by the Republicans in power. Although it is humorous to listen to tax and spend Sarah pretend to be a fiscal conservative, she is cut from the same cloth as George W. Bush and the congressional Republicans whose reckless spending caused our deficit to skyrocket in the last decade.
Ms Palin’s relentless jabs against President Obama are getting more tiresome than shocking, and if I were advising her, I would be concerned about this fact. Ms Palin jumped the criticism shark with her silly and desperate jabs at the First Lady for her childhood obesity initiative. After two years of relentless attacks on the President wherein she pretended she knew how to stop the Gulf Oil Spill and other such self-aggrandizing impossibilities, Ms Palin now appears to be shooting blanks.
Let us remind ourselves just who is, in reality, hell bent on “weakening America”. The person hell bent on weakening this country is the one who has attacked this President at every turn, regardless of how her country might have benefited by her stepping up the plate of united leadership as it faced crisis after crisis. The person hell bent on weakening America is the person who abandoned her post as Governor of Alaska to make a personal fortune, leaving Alaska with a 70% debt to GDP ratio. The person hell bent on weakening America is the person who had no plans for Alaska and has no plans for America other than already proven oxymoronic jingles.
But even without this history, the person hell bent on weakening America would more likely be the person with close ties to the Alaska Independence Party, a secessionist party, than the person running the country right now. Yes, America has questions about Ms Palin’s true hopes for this great country and they need to be answered sooner rather than later.
Ms Palin’s gutter-trolling flailing for attention has become such an embarrassment that even the foreign press has deemed her a traitor. Yes, the only person hell bent on weakening America is obviously Ms Palin, who has taken her brief stints on foreign soil as an opportunity to attack the President during a time of war. Ms Palin failed to respect the code of conduct on military bases and allowed her entourage to viciously attack the President on military bases. Ms Palin can’t even find the grace to simply be quiet when her country is faced with mounting disasters and crises (many of them ironically brought about by Ms Palin’s ideology). Ms Palin is so spiteful that she finds it impossible to respect a country that rejected her in 2008.
Ms Palin continues to shoot her blanks from across her cowardly bunkers of fear (Ms Palin never does any media where she might be asked an unfriendly question or even a question that is not pre-approved), aiming as recklessly as she did at the caribou she missed five times, but always hopeful that this time she’ll hit the mark. Ms Palin’s paranoia usually manages to mangle whatever strength her charisma has to offer and over time, Americans have grown weary of her obstinately frantic bids for attention. Branded with the Lie of the Year in 2009, Ms Palin fared no better in 2010.
If Ms Palin plans to run for her party’s nomination for Presidential candidacy, she had best call an image consultant stat. Ms Palin needs to retreat before she reloads, or she’ll be left in a pile of wasted shells of her own making. America needs ideas, solutions, and candidates who are serious about governing. She doesn’t need a run-away governor who fled to the hills to find gold on TV and whose only discernible asset is her uncompromising hate for the President. Ms Palin is coming off like a petulant child on her sibling’s birthday, so absorbed in what she didn’t get that she can’t overcome her own self-pity and self-absorption for even one moment. She is a fame-seeking missile of self-destruction.

The funny thing is she has said that the new representatives, (many of whom were tealings) need to kowtow to the GOP and have one platform. So lets throw the tealings out. You have to wonder why anyone would say Obama is hell bent on weakening the US. If she were president her advisors would be telling her to do the same things.

Actually if you viewed her shows, she didn’t reload, she even had somebody else do that for her!
Lets see, a city manager while she was mayor of a town less then 8,000, ‘Where’s sarah? buttons by her own legislators while she was Governor(she was absent so much while they were in session) and quitting as Gov. to serve Alaskan’s better.
There is no logic to sarah palin. She has a small following that will support her till the end.
She is not getting the hint from the republicans. it should be interesting to see how far they have to go to shut her up.

Here’s what Obama said about raising the debt:
“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that “the buck stops here.” Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”

He knows what it means to raise the debt ceiling, and he wants to do it. YES, Obama hates America. He hates everything that has made America great. This is a dipsh!t who says our Constitution is “fundamentally flawed” and America must have “fundamental change.”
Palin isn’t impressed with this nimrod. Not in the least. She doesn’t sit and ponder his “awesome intelligence” or the crease in his pants. She sees him for what he is, the enemy of the American people. The enemy of Liberty and Freedom.

The worst financial crisis in nearly 80 years- one the was created and carried out by foolish deregulation/tax cutting Republicans- President Obama is using classic Kensyian economics to get America back on track.
It is working, but thanks (again!) to TP types, getting enough stimulus has been an uphill battle.
When a crisis like the financial market meltdown/2008 happens,the federal government has to spend money, or the economy gets depressed.
Palin does not even know who Keynes was and why his policies work.
She is the nimrod.

Nothing in the quote indicates that then-Senator Obama was saying not to raise the debt ceiling. It sounds like what it was–a strong warning about the negative impact of poor governance. Furthermore, in no way does it negate anything Jason and Sarah stated in this post. Palin lied, and nothing will change that. You can parse words and take delight in what Palin said on Ingraham’s show, but it will never change the fact that she lied, as usual.

The more she runs off at the mouth, the more apparent it becomes that her elevator doesn’t go all the way to the top. It’s also a damning indictment of her followers that they take delight in the way she supposedly riles up liberals, because that indicates their blindness to the degree of Palin’s destructive stupidity. It’s either that, or they share this same stupidity. Delighting that someone riles folks they disagree with, without considering that there are very sound reasons that people regard Palin with alarm, shows they are as silly and juvenile as Palin is.
They have failed to acknowledge the fact that a growing number of their own fellow Republicans have arrived at the same conclusions about Palin as us “libs.” I knew it was too much to expect that Palin would stop running her ignorant, treasonous mouth. That’s because her hatred of this president coupled with her self-absorption and her self-delusions have caused her to go off the deep end. It has become more and more apparent since 2008 that a McCain/Palin presidential team would have been an unmitigated disaster.

Whenever I stop for a moment to wonder why tf I’m reading another SP article, I try to remind – or maybe more convince – myself that she is a once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon.

Jason and Sarah, job well done! This is a great article! I used to always laugh (and cringe in embarrassment) whenever George W. Bush spoke without a script, and I could picture his speech writers writhing in pain and banging their heads against the wall when he did that. I get the same vision of Sarah Palin’s spinmeisters cringing when she speaks in more than 30 seconds bits.

I would like to ask this idiot why in the world does she think Obama would want to weaken his own country, the one in which is lovely children live? This is one her most moronic statements yet. Again, she makes no sense at all and thinks in a little box of black and white. There is no gray in her world. Simple minds attract simple minds. I would be surpised if there were any people left who could still defend her nasty, spiteful comments that aren’t paid to do so, or are just racist and likes that she is too.
I believe if she does run in 2012, her past governing skills will be her downfall. She spent, taxed and left debt in her wake. What a hypocritical twit.

If Palin had managed to win election in 2008 it would have been the closest in the history of the country that we’ve come to putting someone in the administrative branch who consciously wants to see the destruction of the nation. Now we have people with the pure ignorant audacity to suggests that our present administration wants to destroy America. Unbelievable. News flash: Here’s how you kill a country as fast as possible, you let it destroy itself. You let it run away, like a nuclear reactor, you remove control and you sit back and watch. You let the banking industry, Wall Street, big pharma, and the rest of the corporate world do as it pleases until there isn’t a population left thetas not destitute or dead. We were well on our way, and its yet to be seen whether or not the reaction has sufficiently died down that we can tand at ease but those of us who are glad to have a roof over our heads, food on our tables and safety for our families breathe a sigh of relief every day we read about Palin’s latest publicity stunt and take a second to think about the administration that never was.
