I shudder to think of how a Romney administration would have responded to the tragic events of today, and I’m grateful that we have an administration that pauses and investigates prior to rash words and actions.
I am tired of war. Tired of religious extremism. Tired of hatred. And most of all tired of the craven entitled men who drum beat us into war but never send their own children.
This young boy could be any of our children, our brothers, our grandchildren. We must cling to our humanity or all we hope to stand for is lost.

I firmly believe, that by now, if Romney was president, he would have bombed Libya. For me, Romney’s statement today, is the most truly frightening thing that he has done thus far. God help us, if by some cruel quirk, the man wins.

This mature child has shown more decency, honour and maturity that Mitt Romney has ever shown in his life. Romney has shown he has not only no class but no intelligence or empathy and is not ready for prime time.

You’re right. Romney jumped on the attacks and sounded like bush per Iraq and he had all if bushes neocons on his team but we shouldn’t put these things together even though the entire country has.
But the reason I say you’re right us it was republicans who didn’t want any military action in Libya and now they’re blaming Obama for not using a strong military.
My point is we can’t talk about the truth without upsetting you because mitt Romney is a tool who changes positions faster than he inhales.

I think your response is very misguided just like Romney. In fact there may be evidence that Romney knew about the riot in Egypt before it happened and was ready to jump on President Obama. He made his comments way before the riot and asked the media not to expose it until 12:01pm. And the media is trying to find the “producer” of the film that incited that riot. I would bet that Romney somehow was a party to that. His money has many reaches. What happened in Libya was just an aside for Romney. Libya has apologized Egypt has not.

My thinking has been along the same lines as yours. My guess is the mobs in Lybia and Egypt were false-flag operations (maybe by CIA?) to make Obama look bad, a-la Tehran, 1979 with Pres. Carter.
And why would a Coptic Christian from Egypt (who is supposedly the creator of the film) do something that would so obviously endanger his fellow Christians in Egypt, and from the US yet?

I was born in this country and am of Native American heritage. I have a M.A. and am working on my doctorate, and unlike the rest of the world English is the only language I’ve really learned. (I’ve studied Spanish for two semesters, but never really learned it, to my sorrow). I make mistakes in grammar and spelling and especially typos.
I’ve also been learning from my mentor, who besides being a college professor, is an editor of at least one peer-reviewed science journal. HE makes mistakes now and then – we all do, it’s called being human.
Just because a person makes a mistake, that doesn’t justify your BIGOTRY.

English actually has the most scrambled orthography of any of the European languages, with Britiform even worse than Ameriform. After that comes French. Polish is actually quite consistent, once you learn the phonetics.

You ought to read up on History and the evils of Chrisitianity ie mass murders and blood letting, raping, stealing, enslaving others humnas, tortouring, burning people alive as withces, annihilation of numerous tribes/peoples around the world in the name of so called Christianity while clamiming it was about converting savages to God when it was really about greed and power. As a RC, I am at least honest enough to acknowledge that my religion(Christianity) has committed evil in the name of God.
Islam is based on the Old Testament as is Judaism, ‘an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth’ and neither is more evil than Christianity. Christianity is unmatched todate in the evil we have committed in the name of our god. Just look around the world to see the suffering caused by Christianity even today.
I don’t we are in any position to condemn another religion as being this and that when our religion is no better. Yes, we can be angry and outraged at the tragedy but lets keep it in perspective. We would react the same way if another religious enitiy insulted our Bible and religion and believers and we would want blood also. Lets keep it honest here.

“Good Christians” have insulted my form of Christianity time and time again, and it’s the same thing regarding the “movie” (piece of cr*p IMO) about Islam. I wish I could get a message to all of the Muslims who have gotten violent and angry… the message would be in two parts. First, to GROW UP. Insults to Mohammad are between the insulter and him… and between the insulter and God (not them). Second, they need to realize that the same damned “Good Christians” also attack other types of Christians and non-Christians of all types, and that their violence is going to hurt innocent people (and I would ask “What did Mohammad say about hurting innocent people in the name of Allah?”).

I admire this child and what he wrote. You all must be kidding. I’ve never heard such paranoid drivel in my life. . . Okay, so the Republicans were behind the attack, which means the Democrats were behind the boy’s sign? Yeah, the Dems have a monopoly on love, and the Repubs have a monopoly on war. . . You all need to grow up and stop trying to drive a wedge between people who simply don’t agree!

Uhh… when I disagreed with them about teaching creationism in the science classroom, they didn’t leave it at verbal or agreeing to disagree.
They threatened elderly members of my family and torched my electronics workshop.
I lost equipment I’d collected as junk and rebuilt – over almost three decades. Total loss – no insurance – no recovery, no help, nothing except loss. I lost one way to help earn an income because of them.
We’ve also had innocent little kitties pay the price for their (Republicans/Tea Party/”Good Christian”) not being willing to tolerate disagreement – it’s not fun holding a kitty you love (as she died), who was poisoned because you exercised your freedom of speech.
Arson and killing pets seem to be favorite forms of retaliation, especially by the “Good Christians” – who by the way are the source of the stupid and lie-filled video in the first place.

The comments here (and the misspells) tell me the world is in serious danger.
You can’t blame people who do not know. You can’t hate people who have been taught wrong. If you really are a Christian, you would know that sacrifice for those who don’t understand is the way of God.

You posters who say that our first response to an attack on our embassy being an apology was the correct response. You guys are brainless and wimps! How about: An attack on our embassies will not be tolerated and the long arm of the law will hunt down the perpetrators and hold them responsible to the full extent of the law, no matter what their motivation. We can disagree agreeably but terror will not be tolerated and has no place in a civilized society.
