I’m glad someone finally said it out loud. Marx was right about some of his criticisms – of course he was, the “dictatorship of the bourgeoisie”- hello, who can deny that? Anyone who demonizes Marx hasn’t read him or doesn’t understand the context…or has been indoctrinated to see the world in right v wrong, black v white generalities instead of the evolution of thought in reaction to the current political realities natural to the human species.
Was his solution viable? Like all extremes, there are problems with his ideas — but no more so than problems with the current system. It’s a matter of what kind of problems and what kind of system we want to live in (or rather, the Masters want us to live in and convince us that we want).
The same people who criticize him with knee-jerk demonizing have most likely never been to European countryside or had a three hour meal with friends after a civilized siesta and a 6 hour work day.
Sure, this system seems better to them because they have been taught that success is measured by financial and external achievements. Of course, in the world of intellectualism and spiritual pursuit, that definition is clearly flawed.

It’s just like all those RWNJ’s that praise Adam Smith probably never read him either.
