Mitt Romney and John Huntsman face a dilemma about being Mormon since Mormons still believe that Blacks were cursed by descent from Cain through Ham (A war of spirits in the ‘pre-existence’, on Kolob in which the loss by evil spirits caused the devil to mix his blood with that of Cain. Every month Mormons “Bear (their) Testimony” in which the following statement is made“I know the Church is True… I know that Joseph Smith was the true Prophet… I know the Book of Mormon is true”. This is confirmation to show diligence to the Book of Mormon. In the Book of Mormon, 2 Nephi
5:21: “And he had caused the cursing to come upon them, yea, even a sore cursing, because of their iniquity. For behold, they had hardened their hearts against him, that they had become like unto a flint; wherefore, as they were white, and exceedingly fair and delightsome, that they might not be enticing unto my people,
the Lord God did cause a skin of blackness to come upon them.”
How are Romneyand Huntsman going to dance oround this BIGOTRY? The Mormons NEVER HAVE EITHER RETRACTED OR APOLOGIZED for their bigotry. Allowing people of color to “Hold the Priesthood” is irrelevant, insufficient and an insult.
The mormons were none to nice to the Indians when they migrated to Utah, nor were they necessarily nice to other whites

1. “Judging” is inaccurate–the facts are relevant as evidence of mainstream Mormon behavior; their behavior is a result of their actions toward other human beings. So yes, they are being held to by a standard based on their behavior, not their belief.
2. No, this is not the “worst” form of “prejudice”; basing your belief on one’s skin color, gender is worse, which is what was pointed out as evidence of REAL prejudice. How you were “born” is not the same as what fairy tale you choose to believe; prejudice is telling others they are “persecuting” you because they don’t believe you or your fairy tale! (and no, I don’t have to “respect your authority” which based on a myth stolen from prior cultures).
3. People ARE judged based upon race all the time–just check out the facts via books like, “Speaking Treason Fluently” by Tim Wise. Racism is not “frowned up” it is illegal in most incidents!
…those who know nothing but “white privilege”, living in communities fraught with white supremacist do not “frown on” judging another by members of the same race–they do it all the time! And, they’re proud of it!
4. Apparently, you have never heard of Rep. King who makes his living in congress judging the American-Muslim community based upon a few extremist; why isn’t he holding hearings on all fundamentalist christian groups who hold terrorist views against the government, sedition-secessionist, or FLDS polygamist pedophiles? Of course, the Honorable Rep King supported the terrorist group Irish IRA and helped them recruit in the US…but I guess, that’s white privileged for ya’ or, better yet, that must be an example of “persecuting christians” because millions upon millions don’t agree with their belief in terrorism…that would be “frowned on”…
Hmmm… what about throwing an injured young boy on the side of the road after a bicycle accident and tell him “You’re nothing but a Gentile Brat anyway!” – and leaving him there to live or die? Isn’t that also frowned on by society???
That’s what they did to me. According to my parents, I crawled (leg too messed up to walk) for almost half a mile ALONG A BUSY MORMON HIGHWAY before a non-Mormon came along on horseback and gave me a ride to my house. I can remember the looks on the faces of the adults and kids as I lay there (and the “Gentile Brat” said with disgust), and I remember not being able to walk and how high the horse seemed to me and how weird it was to ride on horseback in front of a strange young lady. I was either 4 or 5 at the time (they’d taken me on a group ride from the town and I suspect to proselytize). I can tell you many other stories of abuse they did to non-Mormons during that time (early 60s).
Their behavior reflected their beliefs and politics. Recent encounters suggest that they haven’t changed.
Plus, their beliefs dictate their treatment of minorities. The church had to be sued in the 60s because of their treatment of African Americans. Their treatment of my people, American Indians, has been “less than pleasant” and that because of what their “Joseph Smith” (the lying bigot) taught them. We actually have taught about Mormon beliefs in a college class I helped teach called “Fantastic Archaeology”, because so much of what Smith claimed has been DISPROVED by science.
They’re no better than the dominionists in many ways.

You have a mistake in your article about Georgia pol Bobby Franklin. You refer to him as “Cobb” in the lead sentence of the third paragraph of your story. Maybe it should read “The Cobb county representative” or “Franklin.” Just thought you should know.

Denis Kucinich was filmed on C Span today and he stated the obvious, the US Constitution mandates that credit be uttered by Congress, and that this be used for projects that will be profitable in the long run, which is what Alexander Hamilton had in mind when he drafted the credit system for the US after the war of independence, which got the US out of the clutches of the monetary system, the system of the oligarchy. Here we are, at the last moment, Denis Kucinich is stateing the obvious, we don’t need to borrow money from banks, Congress has the power to utter credit, these two systems are fundamentally different. Ben Bernanke, Tim Geithner and the Obama Administration, according to the report on the audit of the Federal Reserve by Bernie Sanders, states that because of a tremendous pressure, the FED was forced to bankroll the bankrupt oligarch’s banking and hedge fund system to the tune of 16 Trillion Dollars. Why, Bernanke is on record saying that he had no other choice. He lied, and Geithner of the Obama Adminstration went along for the ride. We did have an alternative solution, we still do, and Denis Kucinich seems to be the only member of the US Congress who understands the Constitution. We have the principle that undergirds the mandate of the US Constitution which is Glass Steagall. Marcy Kaptur D Ohio has a bill that has many co sponsors, for the reenactment of the Glass Steagall standard, entitled THE RETURN TO PRUDENT BANKING ACT. This would immediately separate the speculative banking operations from regular commercial banks. The illegitimate debt of the gambling banksters would be separated from the legitimate debts of the commercial banking sector, and then Congress, free from the burden of the millstone of the unpayable gambling debts of the oligarchs and their bank’s and hedge fund’s activities, would be able to proceed with the utterence of credit under the auspices of our wonderful Constitution. We are a sovreign republic, and we have no reason to be beholden to private banking interests.
We would immediately be able to revitalize the states, get the firefighters and police forces back to work, het back the teachers and have the parks and public libraries etc open for business as usual. We could immediately call a new Bretton Woods Treaty into existence, so that there would be a fixed exchange rate between the worlds sovreign nations. We would suggest that the Glass Steagall Standard be applied globally, so that all the toxic derivative debts, be swept back into the hands of the oligarch’s banking firms etc. where they originated, and where they should be dealt with. All the money that was funding their gambling activities and bubble after bubble would be freed up, world wide for decent, honest enterprises.
We need to put people back to work, and the NAWAPA PROJECT, the North American Water and Power Alliance project has been on the back burner ever since the death of FDR. The implementation of NAWAPA is long overdue, it will provide water for vast areas of Canada, the US West Coast, all across the states to Texas and then on down, through into South America. This water system would provide water to increase agriculture and industry. The water ways would be built with high speed mag lev railroad systems alongside of it. We would have work for millions of people for generations building this project. Similar projects are envisioned in Africa and Asia, and would bring water and agriculture and industry to places that need development. If you look at a satelite map of our planet, you will notice that vast areas are uninhabited. We have plenty of room for the growing world population, there is no need for millions to starve to death in Somalia as they are right now. We need to increase the living standards of people worldwide, we need to give the unborn and the youth a fair chance. We need to build projects such as NAWAPA and get NASA back in business to be the science driver again. We need to collaborate with sovreign nations to share our scientific discoveries so that we can make progress to monitor activities within our galaxy, because the weather and so called natural phenomena such as earthquakes and volcanos and tsumanis are the result of what is going on in the cosmos, within and outside of our Galaxy. We need all the satelites that are up there at present together with new satelites to photograph and chart what is going on to let us know about things we cannot see or know with our five human senses. We need the extended sensorium of scientifically produced tools to help us to better understand the Universe in which we live. We are facing a difficult time in as much as, the system of the oligarchs is dead on it’s feet, but they are desperately looking for blood to suck, and they don’t care if they have to resort ot genocide. That is obscene and has to to recognized and then stopped for good.
Now is the time, we have the opportunity to pass the RETURN TO PRUDENCE BANKING ACT which would be the best foot forward. Then we can proceed with the steps I have outlined above. We need a new approach to life, we need to take up the responsibility of the way we were conceived and our birthright, we are created in the image of God, and we are creative by nature, we are different from all the other living species of life on our planet, because we are able to impose our will upon nature and improve upon it. All the advances that civilization has made are from creative idease that manking has come up with and put into practice in accordence with the creative nature of the universe. We have nothing to fear, the Universe is creative by nature, we just have to be in tune with it and anticipate what our future needs will be. We don’t need solar panels, we don’t need windmills, we need nuclear fusion and fission power. We need the increased energy flus density of nuclear power because of the needs of mankind to make progress.
We need the energy to be able to afford to build NAWAPA and to power rockets into space to far away planets such as Mars. We need to have the ability to provide our own planet with enough water and to help lower the temperature by providing water to grown green leafy trees and vegetables with that will produce two and half times as much rainwater as we can bring to the cultivated land with a new irrigation and dam system. Think the Hoover Damn, and think the Tennesse Water Authority. We have the examples from the past that tell us what direction to go in.
We have the direction of the past in as much as FDR came with Glass Steagall and it kept us going for years until Larry Summers came along and wrecked it. We had so many opportunities to do the right thing, but it is only this week that the last space shuttle touched down as Obama has pulled the plug on NASA, so he thinks, and he is busily pulling the plug on civilization as we know it day by day in many other respects
He has committed treason over and over again, he has started up an unconstitutional war in Libya, he is using US drones all over the world to kill innocent women and children, he is illegally a member of a foreign power, the UN, and that is unconstitutional.
He is providing the mexican drug cartels with guns, he is providing guns to uprisings in Honduras, and today I hear he is providing guns to Iran that are turning up in Afganistan and killing US soldiers. He is a murderer and anyone who goes along with the Obama administration is complcit.
We have to pass the RETURN TO PRUDENT BANKING ACT, that will lead to the removal of Obama from the WH and then we can start to rebuild out nation and lead the rest of the world which is what we are supposed to do.
Perpetual chaos and war and poverty and austerity are not an option, the time we are wasting watching Congress talking about one dreadful, unconstitutional option after another is precious.
We need to cut the losses of the banksters, say Bye Bye to Wall Street and the speculative banking industry and get on with the business of being what we were created to do.
Work with what we were endowed with by our Creator, our creative ability to devise and bring into being higher forms of power, better railroads and transportation systems, educational facilities for our youth and jobs for them that are meaningful and will give them a sense of their own individual worth, so that they can earn enough to support a family and live a calm hardworking and productive, creative life.
We need to educate our populations about the Universe in which we live, and let them understand how life was formed, and how the planet Earth is is special, it’s atmosphere, the biosphere, the geosphere and the ionesphere, plus the noiisphere that has given us the opportunity to get this far, and is the platform upon which we must launch the future, a better brighter future, and let the oligarchs and their fascist agenda in the dust.

In various news articles, it has been said (in so many words) that “creationism loses, evolution wins in Texas”, concerning the vote that was recently taken. My response to that is, how can you vote on something which you don’t understand, and don’t have the facts about.
Forget about teaching creationism. I know that it was not an option that you were considering, but first, no school system anywhere has anyone that is qualified to teach creationism. Second, contrary to what most non-legal professionals think, it is perfectly legal to teach creationism in public schools. What the U.S. Supreme Court struck down was the Louisiana “requirement” that Creation Science be taught whenever and where ever evolution was taught. Thirdly, current creationism is both false, and foolish. It misrepresents the book of Genesis, which I am the leading expert on. There is no “close second”.
Your purpose should be to correctly educate your students. But what you are presently doing is providing an unbalanced, and biased curriculum, along with a misrepresentation of the 4.6 billion year history of our Earth. I’m speaking of the monopoly of teaching the evolution theory in science classes. What you are doing is indoctrinating students into the belief system of Atheism. Yes, you are teaching “religion” in schools, using public funds, which is both evil, and wrong. I’d like to participate in a court case on this.
The correct opposing view to evolution is the “Observations of Moses”. It correctly conveys what Moses saw and wrote in Genesis chapter one. The worlds of Creationism and Theology have no clue to what Genesis chapter one is about. They teach that it’s a description of Creation Week. That is false. It’s about the 4+ billion year history of Earth. In fact, Genesis does not have any “creation accounts” in it. There are those, which speak from ignorance, that say that Genesis has “two conflicting creation accounts”, when it doesn’t have any “creation accounts” at all.
That is why I sent a presentation sample to Barbara Cargill, but she didn’t have the decency to respond. You are teaching just one (false) conclusion of the fossil and geologic records of Earth, and overlooking the truth of prehistoric history.
I am certain that you would not appreciate being lied to, especially when the truth was available about the ancient past Your students feel the same way. It is known that evolution is a fictitious, unsupportable scenario, embraced by atheists, that is both unsound, and illogical. Creationism is a fairytale. Evolution is a lie. That is why you all must see the “Observations of Moses” presentation, which proves both evolution, and Creationism, to be in error.
The problem with creationists, is that they try to prove “their doctrine of Creation” to be true, instead of correctly conveying the literal truth of Genesis. After viewing the presentation, which the Clergy refuses to allow, you will see how far wrong Theology is about the Bible. So before making further decisions, invite me there so that I can show you the truth. The presentation is 62 minutes long. It takes that length of time because you are shown over 4 billion years of Earth history, as defined by God, conveyed to Moses.

Is Senator DeMint mentally and physically fit to serve in the US Senate? According to his Selective Service Classification Records,he isn’t!
The Story about DeMint and his fight not to serve in the military!
Why did Sen.DeMint for the 4 years (69-73) while he was a full-time student (supposedly) at the Univ of Tenn. fight with the Selective Service in trying not to be drafted?
That’s right, Big Jimbo spent most of his 4 years at Tenn fighting not to be drafted and sent across the “big pond!”
Twice he was ordered for Pre-Induction Physicals, the last step before actually being drafted. The first order he blew off or FTR-ed (Failed to Report.)Ordered again, he somehow mysteriously failed and received a 1-Y classification, “can only be drafted in time of war or national emergency.” With the exception of being classified 1-Y in 72, he had spent his previous years in college as 1-A, or Draft Ready.
This is where the “DeMint Conundrum” comes in. Either he was the dumbest student ever during the Vietnam War Draft years in not knowing that as a registered full time student he had no worries about being drafted as he would have had a 2-S deferment or, he was never a full-time student at the U of Tenn.
Never being a full-time student is your choice, but what I haven’t been able to find out is how Demint graduated after only 4 years as a part-time student!
Anyone got any idea’s?
Plus, what was the ailment or ailments that kept DeMint from serving his country,when she called him to serve? He’s never referred to any mental or physical ailments/conditions in his bio’s that had kept him from serving his country,in the military!Is he mentally and physically able to serve today as a US Senator?
All the above draft information about Demint’s Selective Service Classification Records came from a FOIA I filed in late 2009. The info about DeMints years and graduation from the Univ of Tenn in 1973 came from the Office of the Registrar at Tenn.
I have a few questions that I would like Senator DeMint to address:
Senator, you spent 4 years at the Univ of Tenn after graduation from high school in 1969. You graduated from Tenn in the spring of 73.
Why were you called up twice for pre-induction (Draft) physicals if you were a full-time student? Why were you classified by the Selective Service with a classification of 1-A or “draft available” if you were a full time student?
Back to the physicals, when ordered to show-up the first time you blew it off, or “Failed to Report!” Ordered again by your draft board you reported and promptly failed your physical,guaranteeing you’d never have to serve your country unless “in time of national emergency or war!” You must have been one proud American when you found out you failed, right Senator?
Let me see if I can sum it up for you Senator:
You spent 4 years at the Univ of Tenn and graduated on time,with your class.However during this time, the Selective Service ordered you for 2 pre-induction physicals of which, you blew off the first one and failed the second one!All this happened while your were rated by your own home draft board as 1-A draft ready/not in school… How is this Senator that your own draft board didn’t know you were a full time student in college?
Moving on, what was the reason/reasons for flunking your physical? was because of mental condition (you didn’t know you could avoid be drafted if you were a full time student, making you the dumbest college student, hands down during the entire Vietnam War Draft)or you had a physical condition (such as the a broad yellow backbone with all the strength of a bowl full of quivering yellow jello!)
Are you now mentally and physically able to serve as a U S Senator after being labled as mentally and physically unfit to serve your country?
In closing: Why were you being called up for pre-induction draft physicals as a 1-A inductee, not once but twice, if you were a full-time student?
All draft information was received from a FOIA I requested in late 2009. Information about the Senator’s college days was culled from his own bio’s!
Gov. Perry could only fill 15,000 seats in Houston, despite assurances from evangelicals that the stadium would be full.

Haskell County, Texas has a population of 5,899 people. Since 1996 it has received $232,000,000 in federal farm subsidies. That is nearly $40,000 for every man, woman and child in that county. Rick Perry’s family farm is in that county. Per capita income in 2010 was $21,000. A quarter of the population is over 65 and therefore eligible for Social Security and Medicare. The severe drought in Texas has severely damaged the cotton crop, the major crop in Haskell County, but farmers will break even because of a Federally subsidized crop insurance program.
Rick Perry has suggested that it might be a good idea for Texas to secede from the Union. Has he checked with the folks in Haskell County?

Why don’t you look a little harder at Rick Perry..
The Texas Retired Teachers System ( TRS ) had not
given an increase of any kind to a retired teacher
since 1999. all Rick Perry’s career. 1977 he was a
starving farmer losing the farm… he has forgotten
that the government gave a new low interest loan .
and the subsidies he and his dad recieved..his
county received more than $ 1 million dollar..
An 80 year old rural retired teacher receives $1500
a month.. a newer urban retired teacher received
$36,000. the elder rural teacher has to decide between
medication and food or electricity.. the TRS fund has
$ 108 BILLION – WITH A B..it is the 16th largest pension
in the world.. but he never pays the pension deserved to
these elderly retired teachers. can you live on 1999 budget?
NO and no one else can.. some widows receive $ 600. a month.
If this was Shell or Dell someone would be in jail..Why is
it o.k. to starve 80 yr old former teacher? Some outside state
should investigate…this should be illegal…

Did you take it down? Doesn’t seem like it because if you did you forgot to also remove the headline/link in the sidebar and there’s still a page to arrive at.
Also, the story about Sarah Palin reading from the teleprompter while she criticizes Obama for same just has a blank spot on the page where I imagine a video clip illustrating the story was supposed to be.

you are right. perry came to houston (a democratic city, with a gay mayor)and was shocked when only a hand full of nuts showed up. most were bused in and then quickly bused out, when the circus was over. we hope those teaheads stay out of our city and never come back..they’ve got north texas (dallas), west texas and most of east texas. so,leave austin, houston and south texas alone. thanks america, for snatching the sheet off texas’ head!

If you’re not the type to grab a microphone, please check the schedule and come out to the US Capitol on Saturday Oct. 29 to support hundreds of everyday Americans from all over the U.S. who have traveled here to share how dysfunction and corruption in Washington have impacted their lives. These personal stories, one after another after another, will announce a year-long Citizens Lobby campaign, and, express our determination to restore self-governance to the People.
We are proud to have a number of well known speakers including Thom Hartmann, Lawrence Lessig, Frances Moore Lappe, Joe Sestak, and Buddy Roemer to provide context, offer solutions, and make it more likely the People’s voices will be heard. But the real stars of this rally are everyday folks like Deb Gates, a grandmother who drove here from Corvallis, Oregon to add her voice to the chorus of Americans demanding major reforms to combat the corrupting influence of money in politics.

America is at a crossroads. Our political system itself allows powerful special interests and party ideologues to have more influence with our elected Representatives than average people. Washington has ground to a halt amidst cynical electioneering while tens of millions continue to suffer in this struggling economy. It is clear that Congress has become “too sick to fix itself.”
These are reasons to be discouraged. However, we love our country and we must summon our dignity, strength and the spirit of unity. We must resolve to restore a government of the people, by the people, for the people. Giving up is not an option.
