After Louisiana Win 5 of the Top 6 Porn Consuming Red States Have Voted For Rick Santorum
With his win in Louisiana tonight, 5 of the top 6 pornography consuming red states that have voted in 2012 have supported Rick Santorum.
According to a 2009 study by Benjamin G. Edelman eight of the top ten pornography consuming states are Red States. Of these top eight six have now voted in the Republican 2012 primary, and Rick Santorum has won five of them. Santorum has won in the third (Mississippi), fifth (Oklahoma), sixth (Arkansas), seventh (North Dakota), and eighth (Louisiana). Mitt Romney can take comfort in knowing that he has won the second (Alaska), and he is a lock to win number one (Utah). West Virginia has yet to vote, but one could easily see Mountaineer State supporting Rick Santorum.
Besides the fact, that this demonstrated how self-deluded some red state Republicans really can be, this is also another potential example of voters voting against their own self-interest. What we have here are a group of conservative states that consume a great deal of pornography, yet they ended up supporting the one candidate in the primary who has all but promised to take away their porn.
Maybe these conservatives know that they are addicted to the stuff, and the only way they are ever going to kick the cyber nudie horse is if big government in the form of Rick Santorum and his purity crusade saves them? That’s possible, but a more likely scenario is that many of these conservatives who adore their adult entertainment are voting for Rick Santorum for the same reason that they go to church.
They see it as the right thing to do.
These male Republicans don’t see a conflict between their moral beliefs and their porn, which makes them hypocrites of the highest degree. In private they are watching who knows what, which is their right at least until Rick Santorum takes office thanks to their support, but in public they have to present the image of the God fearing Christian. When Election Day hits their state, they pull up their pants, shut off the laptop and with a hymn on their lips and a Hallelujah in their heart; they cast their ballot for Rick Santorum.
Perhaps these voters know that Santorum has no chance of winning, so they vote for him as one last chance to stick a thumb in Mitt Romney’s eye before they have to hold their nose and vote for him in November?
Political Scientists are always trying to measure and predict human political behavior with complicated mathematical formulas and numbers, but voters are irrational and unpredictable. When push comes to shove, red state voters would rather vote for Rick Santorum and keep up their good Christian image than publicly out themselves and their love of Internet porn.

Oh, God. This is just too perfect. What does that say about people with “conservative principals”? They talk the talk but do not walk the walk. It would seem they’re not only more apt to watch porn, but they’re more apt to deny watching porn.

It is a goofy irony that these states where porn is most prevalent are the ones in which anti-porn crusader Regressive Ricky has won the primaries. I believe it’s motivated partly by the fact that they just don’t like Weathervane Willard and that they really don’t see Nasty Newt as having a ghost of a chance. But above all, their hatred of President Obama clouds their judgment and prevents them from seeing that they are voting against their own best interests by voting for any of these horrible candidates. I don’t feel sorry for them, because they consistently vote for Republicans and they are among the poorest states in this country.

Don’t lump me and many others into this! You SHOULD feel sorry for every person in these states that are vehemently against this sort of thing and do all we can to change the state to not be a Red one to no avail, it seems. There are lots of people who despise these Repug candidates and want nothing of it. People like you make me feel bad for YOU because you think EVERYONE in one state is alike because of the way these things happen.

Are you a Republican, and do you vote in their primaries? If not, it wasn’t aimed at you but at the folks who continue to vote for Republicans in spite of the fact that it’s not doing them any good. No, I don’t feel sorry for them, but I feel sorry for their fellow citizens who have to suffer the consequences of their continuing to vote against their own interests. Such folks are motivated by hatred of the president, and are blinded by GOP hyperpartisanship. Not one of the 4 GOP candidates has anything of value to offer. They are counting on as many anti-Obama votes as possible to get them nominated.

Ah, yes. Good old #5 Oklahoma….where the wind comes rushing down the plains and up those loose judicial robes.
Oklahoma judge, Donald Thompson, was arrested and convicted for surreptitiously using a penis pump while presiding over court cases. Apparently, the whooshing sound of the pump exceeded the threshold for being truly surreptitious.

God loves ALL his children – but does not always approve of their behavior. I am sure He looks at Rick as a lost member of the flock who does NOT practice what Jesus taught us all. He is NOT a favored son and does NOT practice true Christianity. Jesus told the prostitute to “go and sin no more” – he did NOT tell her to go and revile her fellow beings and then come back and confess for forgivesness. According to the Bible, even God has his limits.

Being from West by God Virginia I can tell you that West Virginians have a huge reason for voting republican in the next election. The President has said that he is going to literally “bankrupt” the coal industry. I’m a Democrat and I intend to vote for the President again, but in West Virginia you argue Obama and you will lose everytime due to that one quote. I work for a rail company that derives 60 percent of its revenue from transporting coal. I have also had feelings like I am cutting my own throat voting for the President. These are very real issues but for some reason we ignore them and poke fun at how backward the red states are and how they consume the most porn. I could care less frankly. The election is coming. Let’s focus on explaining the Presidents positions. Why XL is bad for America. How we can make coal cleaner. Let the President know there are safer more efficient ways to build the next generation of nuke plants. This is just tabloid stuff.

It must be terribly confusing for the porn states. Do I vote for god, or vote against someone that is taking my sex instruction manuals away from me?
Do I vote for someone who says I’m evil but comes straight from god via the pope who runs a cult religion? Or, did god create porn as he created everything else? Yeah, that’s the ticket, god WANTS me to have porn! If I vote for the popes god emissary santorum, I can hide my porn and he will never know!
