In one of those wonderful “did you think this through” moments, the Elliot Institute, founded in 1988 to provide “original research” to support an anti-abortion agenda has issues a new “list”. It’s 200 victims of rape who became pregnant as a result. Their experiences came from what Akins calls “legitimate” forcible rape and/or incest.

These women had different experiences – some had abortions, some did not. They ALL say abortion was the wrong thing to do.

Well, fine. That’s their life experience and therefore their call for themselves.

However, since THE authority cited by Right to Life on all matters about abortion, Dr. John C. Willke, is their authority who insists that women cannot become pregnant if it’s a “legitimate forcible rape” (he IS a physician) these 200 women have just opened up themselves to charges that either they LIED about the rape – or they really, actually LIKED it BECAUSE their bodies permitted them to get pregnant. So it cannot have been forcible rape. Nope.

Seriously.

Since RTL is standing behind Willke and Akins on the “you can’t get pregnant if forcibly raped” mantra – these women just became the poster children for lying, conniving, scheming, fraudulent bitches impugning the names of good, upright men.

So now what? Does RTL back off the lousy biology or does it sacrifice these anti-abortion spokeswomen? It will be very interesting to see.

It is truly a mind shattering thing that people on the on the anti abortion fence can be living in such a dual universe. Especially republicans who tout the “rights of the unborn”, specifically referring to the Christian woman who responded above, and to the many other republicans who seem to not be able to distinguish the philosophy of “thou shalt not kill” from unborn babies to participation in war that kills thousands. If these Christians are so bent on saving life, they should not be funding war. Yes, the language is vitriolic, yes women in this country are outraged by republican ignorance. For this reason alone, no woman should vote republican. They would like to see us barefoot, pregnant and poor, so they can rape, incest and…

Oh, goodie!!! Another “Good Christian” coming along to tell us what “God’s will” is, even though it’s evident she didn’t even read her own Bible (get this, twit – the O.T. CALLS for abortion if the “man” gets jealous of his wife – she has no say in the matter – “the Water of Bitterness”).

You should also research how the Jews viewed the fetus (after all, Jesus was born, lived as, and died as a Jew). Before the quickening – when the woman could feel the baby moving, it was considered no more than water. Oh, and some of your own preachers have finally admitted that their views on abortion are not Biblical – after all, Peter Wagner himself said that abortion isn’t in the Bible!

I am astonished at the vitriol and rhetoric of this article. I am so glad we have sane people pushing legislation to protect the unborn (and partially born). No woman has the right to kill any child of any age no matter how conceived. She doesn’t have to raise the child; there are people waiting years to adopt. I am a Christian woman who agrees with God’s word, not man’s ways of trying to be better than or be more compassionate than God. He is the giver of all life and He said we must not murder. Abortion is murder and Planned Parenthood should get out of the “hit for profit” business!
