So, his comment that he wants to drown the gov’t (whatever it’s size) in the bathtub doesn’t evoke any resemblance to abolishing it to you? seems pretty clear-cut to me. Especially since he’s been backing his statement up with actions for years…

Okay, I absolutely DESPISE Grover Norquist and the GOP, however, this piece is kinda sloppy and based on a false premise. The infamous Norquist bathtub quote actually goes like this: “I don’t want to abolish government. I simply want to reduce it to the size where I can drag it into the bathroom and drown it in the bathtub.” He’s talking about the SIZE of government, not destroying it completely. Now I personally think all these wingnut wackadoodles with their overblown fear of big government tyranny are a bunch of jackasses; but they aren’t actually talking sedition when they pledge their odious oath to Grover Norquist. We’re never gonna take these goons out with sloppy thinking like this. Sorry…

oh, they understand it alright. they are in office right now to get their ‘forever pension’ and then disappear right back into the corporations that spawned this mess so they can continue the job of raiding the country from a cushy office on wall street…without having to answer to any pesky constituents.

Very well said Andrew. I agree with you 1000% !! I say charge the whole bunch of the Tea Baggers and their friends and lock them up. They are going to learn a hard lesson in November. There are more voters than Tea Baggers and all their supporters so PREPARE TO BE KICKED TO THE CURB FOR DECEIVING THE VOTERS WHO PUT YOU IN OFFICE IN THE FIRST PLACE !!
Take the speaker of The House and his weirdo sidekick with you too. We won’t in any way miss them.
