If you are rich, then you have enough money to live off the interest and you don’t need to contribute to society. I believe Mittens reported a taxable income of $345,000 and that’s just from interest, and he has other large tax deductions which he did not have to pay taxes on. I don’t know about you but $345,000 is several times what most people bring in in a year. Most of us wouldn’t find in necessary to bring in more money because that is way more than enough to live on in one year.

Considering the nation’s wealthy have really done so well at “trickling down” so many jobs and done so well at investing in our economy I can really see the justification for your rant ( insert smug sarcasm)! The more breaks the wealthy get and money they profit the more they thirst for and the less they contribute. Try surviving off less than $50k! People love to pretend that welfare is a scam that allows drug dealers and pimps to live high on the hog. The truth is we are caring for children and the disabled living in poverty. These theives would be happy to see all equality and protection laws abandoned ( including wage inequality, rate increases for women’s health insurance, Newt’s suggestion to force children to work for their school lunches…) and debt bondage adopted so long as the few fat cats on the hill benefit. Maybe they are really niave enough to believe they will reap the benefits if they just drink enough of the juice. Walk like a duck and talk like a duck and maybe they’ll let you be one too! We’re not talking about people who have worked hard to provide a comfortable retirement taking the hit. These are a small percentage of super wealthy who have made billions by offshoring jobs and stealing all the first fruits of our society. They want to criticize environmental protections meant to keep u safe and then have the nerve to strip away health care for people poisoned by their polluting corporations.

If there are 0 jobs and the poor have to pay 60%, how, exactly, are the rich supposed to get rich? Without jobs, the ‘poor’ will have no money to pay ANY taxes. Without workers the rich will have NO income. Somehow, your logic escapes me. Our economy runs best when we approach 100% employment. With most people working thee is plenty of money floating around for paying taxes, buying houses, and, yes, getting rich. Even the ‘poor’ can become rich, and most of the rich were poor, first. I know, liberals simply can’t understand how economics works, and think that all blessings from the government flow. A class in basic economics would benefit you all, here. Keynesian and socialist economics simply do not work, and it has been proven over and over again. But, who am I to argue against all those socialist and Marxist professors who taught you so well. Hint: The world does NOT owe you a living. You have to get out there and dig and scratch and scramble for it, just like everyone else, including the so-called ‘rich’.

The revolution that will ensue will be monumental in its destruction of a nation, its democracy and social structure. First, it will be you and me fighting each other over the ideologies they each have. then when we have killed half of each other off, the truth will finally sink in who the real enemy is. Will they have the power to stop all of us? Maybe, but history is always on the side of justice. I would not want to bring children into this world and the ensuing bleak future that will be theirs to bear.
