#Romney Exposed: Reactions to Romney’s Libya Moment
Romney had a very awkward, possibly seriously damaging Libya moment in the second debate in which he claimed that President Obama had not called the attacks in Libya a terrorist attack for 14 days, only to be immediately fact-checked by the moderator Candy Crowley. After Crowley fact-checked Romney, Obama shouted out, “Can you say that a little louder Candy?”
Watch here:
ROMNEY: I think it’s interesting the president just said something which is that on the day after the attack, he went in the Rose Garden and said that this was an act of terror.
OBAMA: That’s what I said.
ROMNEY: I want to make sure we get that for the record, because it took the president 14 days before he called the attack in Benghazi an act of terror.
CROWLEY: He did in fact, sir.
OBAMA: Can you say that a little louder, Candy?
CROWLEY: He — he did call it an act of terror.
#RomneyExposed – What Folks are Saying on Romney’s Libya Moment:

Michael Cohen @speechboy71 Weak answer by Romney here. Surprised; figured this Libya answer would be teed up
Josh Greenman @joshgreenman Obama expressing umbrage now, and it’s believable. “That’s not what we do.”

Andy Carvin @acarvin Crowley just fact-checked Romney on Benghazi. Audience clapped.
David Firestone @fstonenyt Who briefed Romney on Obama’s remark? Amazing that he would blow it this badly in a major debate.
John Heilemann @jheil The Hillary followup allowed Obama to step up — and win the final exchange. The right will trash Candy tmw like crazy, but she was right
Don Lemon @DonLemonCNN That was actually brilliant. Maybe the line of the night.#PleaseProcedeGovernor #Debate2012 #CNNDebate #CNN

Joel Gehrke @Joelmentum Really surprised Romney handled the Libya question so badly.
Matt Yglesias @mattyglesias “The president’s policies in the Middle East began with an apology tour”—just straight-up lying right?
Joe Scarborough @JoeNBC Romney is fumbling through a question on Libya that he should be owning.
Daily Intel @DailyIntel Obama seems legitimately angry at the notion that members of his administration would play politics with the Benghazi attack.
Jonathan Weisman @jonathanweisman Ooh, Obama was ready for this. Suggestion that anyone would play politics with ambassador’s death is offensive.

Read the transcript. Not once did Obama call it an act of terror in the Rose garden briefing. Both Obama and CROWLEY were lying. Romney was telling the truth

You need to watch the video AND read the transcript. It’s all over the web AND the news.
Romney wouldn’t speak/know the truth if it bit him on his ass. This time it did – big time!

I suppose that’s why 17 others think you’re wrong and have disliked your comment and many other people after your comment have told you you’re wrong.
Because it’s always SO much easier to claim 2 people you don’t like to be lying instead of admitting that 1 person you do like is lying.
Hypocrite.

Hey Jamie, here’s a couple of tips on how to use the interwebs:
1. click on this here link: www.whitehouse.gov/the-pr...
2. hold down the “Ctrl” key and then hit your “F” key, then type the word “terror”
3. stop smoking crack

Willard thought he was being funny and clever by bringing up Libya, but Ms. Crawley wouldn’t let him get away with this lie. He made an even bigger fool of himself than he usually does, and that’s a lot.

Romney did as expected – failed at this attempt to set new lies about the President. The Libya comment sunk him even more. The China comment made by President Obama, “Governor you’d be the last person to get tough on China.” was right on! Romney still didn’t give any specifics when asked questions about his “policies” and his face gave me a hint to how he was feeling when the President called out his lies – pissed! This debate reinforced my faith in President Obama. Obama, 2012!

That was a debate let me tell you . Romney looked angry, shocked that the moderator had fact checked his forging policy statements . The 47% saved for the end by President Obama was devastating for the Romney campaign.

One can only lie so much till people start getting tired of hearing the lies…Sadly this debate still lacked substance…More parties allowed into the debate to add more to the discussion would of been nice to see but sadly there’s a two party strangle hold and the idiot masses are tricked once again two believe these to jag offs are our only choices…I’d like to see free elections, free debates and fair treatment from other parties to partake in the election process…I thought this was a democracy for god sakes…Any who, the debate was nothing new…same debate, different year, different talking heads and the same S@#% being spewed…

Romney did not lie and Candy was wrong. Read it for yourself at: m.whitehouse.gov/the-pres.... The president after talking about 9-11 said that acts of terror will not be tolerated. He did not specifically say this was an act of terror, and if he did, that is a pretty indirect way to say so. I know both sides will read this transcript with their own bias, but as I read it it is not black and white as you might so boastfully put.

The video showing the president speaking his words resolutely was shown, and there is no ambiguity in them except for those whose minds are closed to anything says. Besides, Willard has more than earned his reputation as a pathological liar, and his sidekick Lyin’ Ryan’ is almost as bad.

“No acts of terror will ever shake….”
Geez, man, nice try, but how much more obvious is it? Would he go to the Rose Garden and talk about this tragedy in terms of “acts of terror” if he didn’t think that’s what it was? Why would anyone do that? Do you need him to say specifically “This.was.an.act.of.terror.”?
nomad
Oct. 17th, 2012 at 3:53 am
Sure, and so you think “no acts of terror” statement was general? The day after the attack?
I think Obama didn’t make the same mistake as Romney did. He didn’t shoot off his mouth a few hours after the embassy attacks and begin making unsupported claims. Remember that at the same time Romney was criticizing Obama for the Egyptian embassy statement, calling it apologizing. Wrong on that count too.
By waiting for the full story to become apparent and choosing his words with care, Obama showed himself to be presidential and not a hot head trying to act tough. As president, will Romney’s handlers have to keep coming out after every speech and “clarify” what he meant??? Some president.

Mentioning his religion & the fact that he was a “Pastor” for over 10 years shows exactly how desperate Romney is, and how stupid. He’s carefully avoided all talk about how influential he is within his church, or answer any questions about his religion in general. Now he admits/qualifies that he’s a “Pastor?” That’ll raise some eyebrows in the Dominionist followers or it should since he is far from being a “run-of-the-mill Mormon.

Another sign of Romney’s desperation was his bringing up Fast & Furious again, which has been a losing proposition for the GOPTP from the beginning, especially when ISSA & his McCarthy crew of cut throats found absolutely NOTHING wrong & their Kangeroo Kourt of impeaching AG Holder was also exposed as a fraud. That was another one where he talked “fast & furious” over the moderator & refused to stop. Completely off topic & revealing.

Candy Crowley should never be picked as a moderator ever again for her on the spot attempt to fact check; only to apologize for her mistake and admit that Romney was correct on Libya.
You people need to visit more than one website and not rely on one story before you spew a load of hatred on a man who is persecuted for being extremely successful.

Problem was that Romney thought everybody was stuck in the same bubble news cycle he has been stuck on…. When you take it to the general population it doesn’t translate well than you end up with an Abraham Lincoln moment:

SHOCKING VIDEO – ROMNEY CAUGHT:
Romney sees both the LOSS of American Lives AND AMERICANS IN DANGER AS AN OPPORTUNITY !
– - – Many of us heard the story that the Romney campaign had told the AP ( associated press) that
“Libya was an OPPORTUNITY”. . . . HEAR Romney actually say that “he was looking for another
opportunity of American lives to be in danger”.
REMEMBER the video from that fundraiser ? I had to listen a couple of times until I caught it. . . . . .
Romney was saying the Iran hostage crisis in 1980 was an “opportunity.” And that he was keeping his eyes
out for another “opportunity” for Americans’ lives to be threatened.. . . .
In the attached VIDEO CLIP Romney says regarding American hostages in 1980:
[at 2:02min] “I mean, if something of that nature presents itself I will work to find a way to take advantage of the opportunity.”
** Listen to this clip – The conversation about the American Hostages in 1980 begins 1:32 min. into the clip.
Romney’s HORRIBLE comment comes at 2:02 min. www.youtube.com/watch?v=L...

What a clueless bunch. Your president’s comment on acts of terrorism referred to the original 2001 9/11 attack. You reap what you sow.
Everyone should use the subsidy calculator on your precious Obamacare and punch in your numbers to find out 2 things: how short your subsidy is and how much your out of pocket cost is. Start saving now for the penalty if you can’t pay, capish? Good luck with that and your never ending love festival.
