While Romney Holds his Supporters Hostage in PA, Obama Dances in Ohio
If you want to know who is winning this election consider that while Romney supporters were begging to leave his PA rally, President Obama was dancing with a joyous crowd in Ohio.
The contrast between the two campaigns couldn’t be more stark.
Here is what was going at Mitt Romney’s big Pennsylvania rally a.k.a Dog Day Afternoon.
Yep, the Romney campaign along with volunteers and the Secret Service would not allow supporters leave his rally
“We’ve got to get out! My daughter is frostbitten,” begs mom, asking to leave Romney rally. Staffer replies: “It’s not cold enuf for that.”

Woman says “I feel like a caged animal!” before pushing through staffer. Said she was here since 2.

Man just pulled me aside and said “My son is on the verge of hypothermia” just as staffer starts letting people out a few at a time.

On the very same day, here was the scene at President Obama’s rally in Cincinnati, Ohio (Courtesy of our friends at The Obama Diary):
Can you tell which candidate thinks he is going to win?
These campaigns are going in opposite directions. The Obama campaign appears to have gotten a burst of momentum, while Romney is trying to hold it together and turn the tide on election day.
More telling is the downtrodden attitude of Romney supporters who seem to be glumly trudging through the landscape determined to carry out their mission. In contrast, there is an air of absolute joy at these Obama rallies. Obama supporters love their candidate, while Republicans are voting for Mitt Romney because their one overriding obsession is to defeat this president.
Obama supporters don’t beg for their freedom as their children freeze, waiting for a candidate who is more concerned about a photo-op than their health and welfare.
People were begging to leave Mitt Romney’s rally. While in Ohio, President Obama danced as he was serenaded by tens of thousands of supporters.
In a nutshell that is really all you need to know about this election, and how the two candidates contesting it view you.

Well, to be fair, blacks are just naturally better at dancing, and whites are just naturally better at imprisoning innocent people.

Sorry Josh. I’m African American and I can’t dance worth nothing. I have 3 brothers. Guess what? They can’t dance either.

To be fair, Obama’s rally looks pretty white to me. Or rainbow. Mitt’s is white bread all the way, as always.

To be fair, Romney’s team accidentally made misleading phone calls to their own black supporters falsely telling them that the location of the rally had changed. They’ve done it so many times to Democrats regarding polling stations, it was just a reflex.

Sorry Josh. I’m Caucasian American and I can’t imprison people worth nothing. I have 3 brothers. Guess what? They not good at imprisoning people either. Lord knows we try.

I’m Caucasian, and sure have no intention of imprisoning people, but I can dance up a storm!

Well, maybe not a storm. We don’t need any more storms.

Joan Jones missed out on being the new Jackson 5 (or 4, in her case). You missed out on having your own plantation. Genetics can be a bitch. Thank goodness your President is a socialist! ;)

It’s way easier to dance to Stevie Wonder. Willard rallies get Meatloaf and Ted Nugent songs!
Jim H.
Nov. 5th, 2012 at 10:04 am
Well, that sort of makes sense. Romney’s platform smells like Ted Nugent’s draft-dodging trouser filth and Romney will do anything for votes, but he’ll even do that.

Ted Nugent and Meatloaf. Stupid me. I thought it was Turd Nuggets and Meathead.

This is a big rally for Romney in PA, but dozens of people — cold and angry — are begging to be let out.

W/ Romney more than an hour late (but now speaking), dozens of people stuck in the cold, begging staffers to leave, use the bathroom…

Rally in PA just went eerily quiet for 3 mins after a man collapsed in the audience. No music. No speaker. He’s. Okay now tho.

Need your vote

Your optimism is really great and I really hope that it goes exactly as you say. But as Shiva says we needs your vote, because this is how close elections are lost. People get complacent, think that their vote doesn’t matter and don’t vote And then it all adds up to a lot of votes that were needed in the end. So please make sure that you AND your friends all go out and vote for Obama on Election Day.

John, no please, you can’t take that attitude, that is exactly how we might lose, and the other side hopes you do. Just because we love our candidate does not mean it’s a shoe in. VOTE, VOTE, VOTE!! PLEASE take that half hour to vote. Most polls are opened till 8:PM, but check for yourself locally.

Keep dancing, Obama. While you may very well win your election, your Party is denying systematically, all evidence that rigged voting machines owned by parties loyal to the Bishop RMoney family, are going to cost a strong advocate of workers’ rights, Sherrod Brown, his rightful seat in the US Senate.
That sure is enough to stop me from dancing.

Was there with my wife. Didn’t see any of this stuff. No event is perfect, but this sounds like a bunch of made up stuff. Huge amounts of people there to see Romney all waiting patiently as the crowd was so huge.

I agree Al. As if we are supposed to believe some “tweets,” and ignore the fact that IF it were true people would have been raising hell and making videos of it.

LOLOLOL
Good old SickupandFed was in the house with The President yesterday. The joint was jumping and it was very encouraging. Long lines at the polls again yesterday, again, were strengthened by Jesse Jackson, who shook hands with EVERYONE who was in line. Also joined by Actor Lawrence Fishburne, who joined the list of celebrities who have assisted this President.
If we hear any news about Obama losing Ohio, you can be assured that cheating is involved. I have been here on the ground for weeks, in Hamilton County, Ohio. Voting is heavier than in 2008. The rethugs overplayed their hand and are about to be pimp slapped.

I can just imagine the Fox News spin: “Obama Dances in Ohio While Innocent Americans Are Held Hostage In PA.”
Paws
Nov. 5th, 2012 at 7:59 am
Or they’ll finally start talking about the hurricane damage and say people are homeless while the President dances.
Whatever it is, you can bet Fox will come up with something to criticize him for. Although they might just ignore it considering that crowd is pretty fired up for the President. It wouldn’t fit their narrative that Democrats aren’t enthusiastic.

In the event RoMoney happens to lose, I wonder who or what he will try to blame, perhaps the Mars Rover or a black hole somewhere at the outer edges of the universe! Of course it would not be anything to do with the fact he is a lying moron who has to bus folks to his rallies to look good!
Sandra

Funny you should mention Ted Nugent music at Romney rallies. Seems like the PA residents trying to leave came to the conclusion that Romney “Got Me in a Stranglehold, Baby”

This should be a sign that Romney cares NOTHING about you! The Romney / Ryan ticket would drive the entire economy into a nose dive as long as it benefits the richest Americans. Income inequality is endangering the Middle Class and making paupers of us all who don’t have those millions upon millions of dollars. Read more about the role of Romney’s riches in this election and the power of his sacred undergarments at dregstudiosart.blogspot.c... The working class of our country can’t AFFORD to allow this election to be bought and sold!

Why are there only tweets and not a video of some of these so called people being held hostage? You mean of all these phones that have access to the internet, not one could take a video or a picture? I call BS on this one. But it’s okay, I’m not the person that you thought would believe it anyway.

“PBO busts a move”. I’m sorry, Obama is my president, but that was NOT “busting a move” or “dancing”, by any color standard. I want my 1:07 back. I was expecting Fred Astaire or the Nicholas Brothers! :-) But, I’ll take what I can get.
