Romney is Rooting Against the Economy and Depressed Over Improving Numbers
It’s understandable that Romney would be bummed when the economy is seen to be improving, but when did we get to the place in politics where Republicans were so openly rooting for the further destruction of the American middle class that upon hearing of the improved job numbers, the Romney camp sat “stone faced” and “quiet” on their plane?
The AP describes the mood on Romney’s plane as cheering and clapping the day before, saying the “euphoria ended after the morning report that the nation’s unemployment rate had dropped to 7.8 percent, its lowest level in Obama’s presidency. Romney and his team sat stone-faced and quiet on the flight to Virginia’s coal country, taking in the good news for the country that’s bad news for their political prospects.”
Once they landed in Virginia, Romney attacked Obama on jobs in spite of the improving jobs numbers, including attacking Obama over jobs in the coal industry, which have in fact grown to their best numbers in 15 years under Obama.
Even the AP pointed out that the reaction leaves the Romney camp open to accusations that Obama’s economic plan is working and Romney is rooting against the economy. “The report gave Obama fresh evidence to argue that his economic policies are working. It also gave the president an opportunity to suggest that Romney is rooting against the economic recovery.”
While rooting for America’s demise has been all the rage among conservatives since Obama took office, it doesn’t play well in a national campaign. That demise in this case includes real Americans with very real and much needed jobs. Romney needs to step up his game and find a way to convey the impression that he is happy that more people have jobs.
This is just right back to Mitt the Twit level behavior. Does Romney need weeks of rehearsal to figure out how to comport himself?

This is what happens when you’re so involved with the game that you can’t see the world beyond the game. Romney needs help. Anybody know of a Politicians Anonymous he could attend?

‘ECONOMIC PATRIOTISM’ as PO claimed during the campaign and in the debate. One would think every ‘Patroitic’ American would be cheering but no, the thugs are out in force claiming it’s a conspiracy though they have yet to prove it with facts and figures. What can one say about the Romney team who are upset by the numbers as they see their lies about the economy under PO coming back to bite them on their collective asses. One would think they would show some positive reactions even if false but no, they are upset and pissed off. What are Americans to make of their reactions to this good news?

Mutt Robme has something more to be depressed about. Kevin Barrett and Gordon Duff at Veterans Network have a story out claiming Mutt had a “breakdown” while at Stamford and his rich father sent him to France. French law has “mormonism” listed as a dangerous cult. You can be a Minister, but not a missionary. So Mutt is worse than Cheney who dodged the draft 5 times, while Bush was AWOL for 18 months, living with his boyfriend in New England. Mutt’s days are numbered. There is no way he can be president with a psychiatric problem in his past. No wonder Ann Robme is concerned about him as president with all the “pressures that will placed upon him”. Mutt is a certifiable NUT.

Seems that he should be depressed. And we should all thank Rove, and Koch brothers for making it happen. Their outpour of funding certainly did make it possible to employ: restruant workers, additional media to cover the elections, otel serivces, convention coverage, etc. Wtih the amount of money poured in to the election and the oney being spent, it had to go somewhere! And it was a given that it would help the economy! So thanks to the big boys! Too funny! And the American people had to contribute to Obama to keep up, so there you go! lol Nice job to all who contributed! And thnks Obama! You did it without the obstructionalist of the GOP! Says a lot! JUST IMAGINE what could have been if they had jsut worked with him! It is time to remove the GOP from WAshington, and it may take 4 ore years…but complete removal is a must! We need a working Congress! Not men with partyline agenda! Washington needs to delete those that obstruct and ake Washington work for US “the American tax payer”!

Great point — Republican donors boosting the economy, causing results they cannot decry.

The only ones who make money on these campaigns is the corporate media…no wonder they treat this election as a horse race…believe the polls if you want. The majority of them are run by republicans.

I’m sure his scheme of possibly sending jobs from Chicago’s Baine Capital being blocked by the employees didn’t brighten his day either! What arrogance! His company trying to take more jobs to China? How profane after accusing Obama of the same thing on Wednesday? I certainly hope the teamsters/Emmanuel got an injunction against the company in time! Please update us on the progress of the employees, so they are not laid off without pensions and benefits? This may have been his plan to make sure Obama didn’t get the numbers contributed to the economy? How ignorant and insensitive can he be, especially after apologizing for the 47% comments? This only goes to show the American People he cannot be trusted!!!

This isn’t just about Willard. He doesn’t need lessons on how to comport himself because it’s way way way too late. The whole GOP has been rooting for the worst that could happen to the country, for 4 years now. And they call themselves “patriots” and call us “un-American” while they’re doing it. What they need, and frankly what this entire country needs, is a resounding overwhelming SMASH DOWN at the election in November. Show them the door. Show them their behavior is NOT acceptable and we’re fed up with their bullchit. I’d be damned before I ever give my vote to a party that works actively against the US.

Isn’t it sad that this country’s government can’t work together? Instead of cooperating with the Dems, the GOP purposely does things to try to make sure that the Dems/Obama fail. So it’s no surprise that the Reps were unhappy hearing that the job situation has improved. It means that they haven’t been effective enough in preventing Obama/Dems from succeeding. Hmmm… maybe there’s a reason the USA is called a DEMOCRAcy… not a REPUBICcy! ;-)

While the republicans were running around lying about the stimulus, they should have been reading the bill. The money in the ARRA wasn’t spent haphazardly. It was specifically targeted to programs like manufacturing and alternative energy. Along with bailing out GM and Chrysler, the stimulus helped to fuel the economic recovery. These jobs are not temporary jobs. They have the added effect of creating jobs in industries that are related to them. Many economists’ economic models predicted last year that the economic recovery would pick up in the latter part of 2012. The republicans didn’t read these reports, either, because they were too busy jumping in front of every camera on Capitol Hill and taking their behinds to Fox News to bash the president about the high unemployment numbers instead of helping him. Karma can be a mean, vindictive, old b*tch sometimes. It seems she has Romney on her list of prominent azzzholes she plans to mete out a bit of justice to, and I’m OK with this.

Amazing the difference a day makes. Yesterday, Mitt thought he was seeing the light at the end of the tunnel…..today, he realized it was a train….coming right at him.

Mutt Robme is rooting for the low information voters who watch Faux and listen to Rush the drug addict, Hannity the Insanity to tell them who to vote for. Pastors for Israel (a right wing christian bunch of nuts have the AIPAC people know going out all over the country. One was just on our local radio station, claiming they are going to violate the church and state, and election law, by telling their voters from the pulpit to vote for Mutt.

Romney’s response to the improving employment rate?
“Unemployment only decreased because Americans are giving up and dropping out of the job market.”
Evidence? Mitt don’t need no stinking evidence. He claims it’s true, and that should be good enough for us.
Romney is relying on a tried and true political tactic taken from a well-worn page of the GOP playbook:
When all else fails, make crap up.

Maybe Mitt will end up with his own alternate reality show.
In the show, Mitt tells a story at the beginning of the show, then they take a break and he asks whether the story was truth or lie, the funny thing is, all the stories are lies, but if they say they think it’s true…it is!
They could call the show “Take my word for it!”

They could call the show ‘take may word for it.’ or NOT.
I’m hoping the employment numbers will be as good in October though from the looks of it, it should be unless the Republican companies try to sabotage it by firing workers.
PO did state it was would be a slow, steady growth. The Stock Markets doing very well and continuing to grow so it was sure to have a positive impact but Thugs don’t comprehend actions=reactions. If one is doing better because of confidence in the country and the economy, the other ie jobs is sure to follow.
This should be a teachable moment for the Thugs and their obstructionism but alas they never learn, they will continue with the same tactic expecting different results.

It’s amusing that while Willard and the rest of the GOP were basking in what they foolishly believe was a debate “victory,” events were conspiring to further deprive Willard of his rationale for being elected to the presidency. He and his equally unpatriotic party have been rooting for economic failure, which they thought would be their ticket to regaining power. What could be more unpatriotic than to wish for the failure of the president, when so many Americans have been exposed to the kind of needless suffering their cooperation could have avoided? Now that his plan to outsource more jobs from Chicago’s Bain Capital has been blocked, it’s one more thing chipping away at the insular cocoon he has been living in all his 65 years of life. It couldn’t happen to a more deserving excuse for a human being.

And I would like to mention one more thing about Romney/Koch which no-one seems to mention.Romney has sworn to take incentives away from alternate energy like solar and wind farms but keep on giving oil polluters more of our money. Hope everyone has been studying reports of arctic sea ice melting faster than anyone expected, and in fact decades earlier. This could cause a global catastrophe, we must wake up and try to stop it before it is too late!

The best part of it is that the GOP doesn’t have anyone of Clinton’s reputation and stature. But then again, how is it possible to intelligently defend an ideology that is narrow, backward, and inimical to the interests of anyone who is not wealthy?
