Romney’s Real Reason for Being in PA: It was the Only State With Ad Space Left
By: Jason EasleyNov. 4th, 2012more from Jason Easley
The lid was blown off Mitt Romney’s latest attempt to fool voters today, as it has been revealed that Romney bought ads in Pennsylvania because it is the only state with ad space left in the country.
Dan Hirschhorn, a reporter from The Daily, tweeted, “Source familiar with RNC IE just acknowledged to me main reason they really bought in PA is they couldn’t spend anywhere else. airwaves full.”
The real reason why Republicans are buying ad time in Pennsylvania isn’t because the state has suddenly become competitive. The truth is that the Republicans have so much money to burn that they dumped millions of dollars into a state that they won’t win because it was the last state with available ad time for sale.
If ad space would have been available in any other state, the Romney campaign would have made the same argument that they were broadening the map. Romney’s campaign stop in Pennsylvania today is designed to do nothing more than further the illusion that the candidate has momentum heading into election day.
It is all a myth. Romney is trying to create the impression of momentum, so that the media won’t focus on the fact that over the past week the polls have started to break in President Obama’s direction. Romney is using Pennsylvania as a prop to try to trick the media into reporting something that isn’t true.
On election day, Romney may end up regretting the decision to waste a campaign stop in Pennsylvania instead of scheduling an extra appearance in Virginia. Three new polls of the state released today found President Obama leading in Virginia by 1-6 points.
Mitt Romney thinks he can become president through campaign ads and image manipulation. The problem for Romney is that as the campaign comes to a close, he is losing both the media battle and the actual election on the ground. Romney’s appearance in the state and the Republican ad buy make perfect sense for a candidate who has put fiction ahead of facts, lies before truth, and insisted that illusion dominate over reality.
Mitt Romney has more money to spend than he has pathways to victory in the 2012, and that is the real reason why Republicans went on a Pennsylvania spending spree in the waning days of this election.

That was kind of obvious wasn’t it? What I thought all along but then I am in broadcasting.

Since Romney has so much cash to burn, it would have been more well spent to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy. But that’s right, it’s all about him….

“Stop it! This is hard!”
(I am so hoping to see Mitt’s & Queen Ann’s very sad faces on Tuesday night–”But, it’s OUR turn…” Please, oh please…)

after the frightful time i expect to have all damned day tomorrow, the one bright spot i hope i shall live to see is zomney’s concession speech.
i’ve taken odds already that he won’t make one. other odds that ann won’t be there. smaller odds that mitt will epically lose it during his speech.
any way i look at it (crossing fingers for the president so hard it hurts), i’m pulling for something exceptional from zomney losers.

Mitt Romney has more money to spend than he has pathways to his brain.

Complete BS.
Television stations will ALWAYS push ads around to make room for a bigger client.
They don’t want to in this case.
They are refusing to take money.
Think about that.

what aggravates me more about this is not so much Romney being in PA its the Bucks County clowns whom think they can survive without a strong Philadelphia. They are too selfish to ask themselves “what would a Romney President do for the region and the city as a whole” nope they are just worried about too many of “those people” getting ‘Obamaphones’ despite the region was hit by a massive hurricane, who needs the lifeline program? These are the same people whom was gun ho about voter ID when they fully know there is a large number of Phila residents whom simply don’t drive. You’ve ever been to Philly, you don’t need a car. These people hold back the Philadelphia region but they think its funny. They will get on the Delaware Expressway and go to the Sports Complex then race back home to the burbs to escape the big bad city they take full advantage of. These are the people whom grew up in the area but harbor urban myths and fairy tails due to the 11 o’clock news. Its just somewhat in my mind I’ve been thinking of some type of awareness campaign to remind these Greater Phila dwellers that you are also “Philadelphia!” Then again I’m thinking far beyond November. I harp on these things due to this type of thinking of the Suburban Republican has been detrimental cities for generations despite Philadelphia itself survived a lot to be where its at today. I hope the city proper shows its electoral might in force come Tuesday to show America and Merica that Cities mean business again in the 21st Century.

If Obama loses this election, you can blame/thank the Right for bamboozling him. How is it ethical that an entire news network questions the President’s citizenship for four years to create doubt in voters while a fringe element of the far right demonizes and degrades him? Most of this is financed by the rich who want to keep their stranglehold on the flow of wealth in our country.
