Romney’s Worst Nightmare Comes True, the Media Reports He’s Losing
On Meet The Press, Chuck Todd debunked Romney’s Pennsylvania spin by pointing out that the Republican is going there because he is losing in Ohio and Wisconsin.
Here is the video:
Todd broke down the map as it currently stands, “He could lose Ohio, Iowa, and Pennsylvania and he could get there. The problem is, Wisconsin is looking like a state, it’s a same day voter registration state. So then if you look at it that way, he needs one of these others. In Ohio, if you believe the two-point race there, that would put him over. So that’s why, what explains if you will, David, why Romney is going to Pennsylvania because if you only — if you take away Pennsylvania, he’s only got two routes and Ohio and Wisconsin both seem to be a little where he’s behind.”
The media is seeing through the Romney campaign’s spin, and starting to move away from the toss up/it could go either way talking points that GOP desperately needs to keep alive through election day. The reality is that Romney has not made up any ground in Wisconsin or Ohio. This does not mean that those states are out of play, or that President Obama has the election locked up. It does mean that Romney is behind in critical states on the final weekend before the election.
Romney knows he is losing. Despite conservative billionaire Richard Mellon Scaife trying to provide him political cover for his trip into Pennsylvania by claiming that the state is too close to call, the reality is that Mitt Romney isn’t coming to Pennsylvania because it is a swing state.
He is going to be campaigning there because he wagered all of his chips on Ohio, and so far, that bet isn’t looking like a winner.
The Romney campaign was able to fool a desperately wanting-to-be-fooled media for weeks with their Romentum talk after the first presidential debate, but with less than two days before voters will cast their ballots, the numbers tell a story of a close election that is moving towards the incumbent.
The media has caught on to the poison narrative that the Romney campaign is desperately trying to spin away. When someone as inside the Beltway as Chuck Todd says he is losing, Romney’s not only losing votes. He is also losing the media battle.
It is important to remember that elections aren’t held after the first presidential debate, or on the the weekend before. Presidential elections are held on the first Tuesday in November. The only polls that count are the ones where voters are and will be casting their ballots.
If you want this polling and momentum to become a reality, you must go vote.

It’s about time. The only reason he’s been in play is the media. If they had done their jobs over the past three years, 2010 wouldn’t have happened and the President’s approval would be in the 80% range. If voters knew what the GOP has done to obstruct jobs and recovery, they would be finished.

Your kidding right? I have never, there has never been a more left leaning media bias than what has been seen the last year.
Doing their job should be a more unbiased coverage of the facts. and the facts are that Obama is a disaster and the US is going for a crap if he is voted in again. This, from the leftist country, Canada.

A more left-leaning media? You do know that FOX is the biggest news org in the country, and has an astounding right-wing bias, right?
“the facts are that Obama is a disaster and the US is going for a crap”
Well, who can argue with scientific data like that? Come back when you have an actual thing to dispute, instead of general malice to moderates and liberals.

Your PM, Stephen Harper, isn’t a member of the Left. He’s a member of the Right, he’s a staunch conservative, and conservatives hold the majority in the Canadian Parliament. You don’t seem to know much about what you’re saying. The U.S. has the most robust economic recovery on the planet, and it happened under President Obama:
“The US is the brightest spot in the world economy, as another global recession threatens, according to the latest Brookings Institution-Financial Times tracking index.”

I think the reason you’ve labeled President Obama a “disaster” when he is not has a lot to do with refusing to look at the facts–manufacturing is up, consumer confidence is up, housing is up, the stock market has doubled since 2008, unemployment is down, the deficit has been reduced by over $200 Billion, GM & Chrysler are making a profit, and the amount of durable goods being purchased is up, among other things. Only one who is allergic to the truth would replace facts with lies.

I’m just shocked that Chuck Todd pointed this out – and that David Gregory didn’t cut his mic.

I suggest anti-depressants.
Lastly, did you even read THIS article. It spells it all out. Romney has NEVER been ahead in the EC, for ONE thing.

Then you have not been looking at the polls. But, why would you vote for Romney?

You’re a little sad all right, if you think a President Romney would do any mroe for the country than he did for Massachusetts..in fact, he will do even less, because his ONLY accomplishment there was health care, which the GOP has told him he must abolish in order to keep the insurtance industry lobby happy. So be sad, and vote for the liars if you must, but spare us your whining.

I am really looking forward to an Obama win on Tuesday, but I cannot get visions of Mitch McConnell out of my mind saying that it was his job to make Obama a one term president.
He failed at his job so can we chase his sorry ass
out of the senate!

It could be that we have shown that citizens united and billionaires money doesnt count for much.
But worse, with a republican house we will not get rid of citizens united either. No laws will be passed, no reforms made. We will be right here in 4 years doing the same thing.

Mitt Romney needs to lose so bad that his abject failure winks him out of existence. I don’t want to see the Republican party fail, I want to see the evil Republican terrorists fail so hard that they never show their faces again. The last 3 decades of Republican policy have been awful, but these last 4 years have been rife with Republican treason, and America destroying. TAKE AMERICA BACK VOTE DEMOCRAT! What the Republicans want is the complete destruction/subjugation of anyone who is not a RICH WHITE YOUNG STRAIGHT CHRISTIAN MAN. Unemployment will do nothing but increase wherever Republicans have power. I made a video about unemployment, and how we can fix it. It’s at my YouTube channel Zarrakan, and here’s the name:

Watch it, share it, and join the fight against those who want to kill all of us with destructive social policies.

I do want to see the Republican party fail. I want it so completely discredited that the moderates are able to scrap the whole thing and rebuild. There are moderates out there abiding in the wilderness. We need them.

I have been paying attention over the past two years and am especially disturbed that Republicans in Congress have made it their goal to “…make Barack Obama a one-term President” instead of representing the people in their districts and acting in the best interest of our country. It seems that we could be further along in the recovery with President Obama’s jobs plan. It is contemptible that the Veteran’s jobs bill did not pass. The fact that Romney will not release more than two tax returns and will not present details of his plans for moving the country forward makes him a totally unacceptable candidate or President.

Overheard Howard Fineman speculating this AM on The Chris Mathew’s Show that Ashley Judd could be opposing Mitch for that KY Senate seat.

Worse than reporting that Romney is trailing, some media sites have EVEN started to report on facts – anathema to the Republican campaign which is predicated on hiding the truth, e.g. avoiding releasing tax returns, not mentioning his “make the rich richer, and the poor poorer” vision, and not announcing any plans to achieve these questionable goals.

The big name media will eventually become irrelevant if they don’t start doing a better job. May take a while, but may not – things can happen quickly these days.
There should be at least one token grownup in major media news.

I hope Ashley does run. I am starting some social networking on Mitch’s history dating all the way back to the late 70′s. I have voted against him since his first campaign, but this is a red state. The governor is a DINO. I would like to see he and Rand lose their seats. And their jobs in congress too LMAO.
