Rush Limbaugh Claims All Black People Want is More Food Stamps
Rush Limbaugh claimed Mitt Romney got booed at the NAACP convention because all black people want is more food stamps.
Here is the audio from Media Matters:
Transcript via Rush Limbaugh:
LIMBAUGH: Imagine if Romney had told them what they wanted to hear, how would that have gone? If Romney had told the NAALCP what they wanted to hear, he would have said, “Under a Romney administration, we will get even more blacks on food stamps than President Obama has.” Yeah, right on, dude, right on. We’ve gotta be honest about this, Snerdley. Romney got booed for articulating policies that would improve the lives of every American. He did. He got booed for policies that are designed to improve the lives and lifestyles of every American, did he not?
Okay. So what could he have said that would have generated applause? Well, I was thinking about it. He could have said, “Under a Romney administration, we will get even more of you on food stamps than President Obama has.” Right on. “We will keep unemployment above 14% for black Americans, and we will raise the minimum wage so that 75% of blacks won’t have a job.” Right on, dude, right on. (interruption) You say he would have been booed if he said that? No, wait a minute. He was booed for saying the opposite, because Romney’s policies want to reduce black unemployment. Romney’s policies want to reduce the number of people on food stamps. Romney’s policies want more people working, and that got booed, so I’m simply asking what could he have said that would have generated cheer? He got booed for telling the truth.
We last waded into this racist cesspool when Newt Gingrich insisted on calling President Obama the food stamp president. The fact is that 70% of all food stamp recipients are white. Many of them probably watch Fox News and listen to Rush Limbaugh. 2010 Census data revealed that 49% of food stamp recipients were white. Twenty six percent were black. A 2009 New York Times map revealed that the top ten counties in food stamp usage were all located in red states.
I know this will come as a shock to many, but Rush Limbaugh was spreading a racist myth. Romney would have more success going to a tea party rally and promising to increase food stamps than he would at an NAACP meeting.
This was just the tip of the iceberg for Limbaugh’s racism. His comments also assumed that African-Americans are lazy and looking for a handout. He was also reviving the right wing mythology that African-Americans only support President Obama because he gives them stuff.
The truth is that the sort of vile racism coming out of Limbaugh’s mouth has become a staple of Republican campaigning. When you hear statements such as those uttered by Limbaugh it is obvious which political party is obsessed with race and racism.
Republicans and right wing mouthpieces like Limbaugh are so desperate to explain away Mitt Romney getting booed that they are overlooking the most obvious reasons why it happened. Romney was booed because the audience didn’t like what he was saying. The crowd disagreed with him. They disagreed with his insulting of the president, and they disagreed with his plan to abolish the ACA.
In order to hide the fact that only Republicans like their nominee, Rush Limbaugh happily threw himself down the dark pit of American racism.
Rush Limbaugh’s racism isn’t just ugly and disturbing. It is also factually inaccurate, and another reason the white power GOP is destined to become the minority.

Rush Limbaugh has a quota in his contract where he has to say a minimum of 20 racist, sexist, stupid, ignorant things a day on his radio show. The fact that he believes most Blacks are on food stamps is not surprising. After all, he thinks Blacks still use the phrase “right on”. Like the ditto-heads who follow him, Fatty McLimpdick is stuck in 60′s and 70′s ideology, and he wants to drag the rest of the country back there with him. Personally, I think it’s best to just stipulate to the fact that he’s a racist fool pimping himself out to other racist fools for money, then move on.

Limbaugh doesn’t have to worry about being accurate because his target audience will believe every word that comes out of his mouth. Few of them will realize that Limbaugh, the college dropout who failed every course he took in his one year of college, isn’t an authority on any subject. I knew that racism would be a part of this election, and I’m glad that it is. It gives America another chance to see the ugliness that resides in the souls of many faux conservatives like Limbaugh. Fox is already doing its job to convince its viewers that Romney was booed because he is white. Sarah Jones revealed the real reason Romney was booed in an earlier post. It was because he took the same RW terminology and presented it in a speech to NAACP members, and they expressed their disapproval, not because he is white, but because they disagreed with him calling the ACA Obamacare. Of course, it is difficult for many on the right to understand that some Americans don’t like the term Obamacare, and we don’t like seeing the word democrat being used incorrectly by those who should know better.

The unfortunate thing is that this myth is believed by so many. Too many people don’t do their own research; they comb the internet for right wing sites, places that reinforce their beliefs, but they don’t comb the internet looking for independent verification of any info they get. If Rush says it, it must be true. If it’s on World Nut Daily, it must be true. If they say it on Fox News, it must be true. This is what the GOP noise machine wants; they don’t want them to learn the truth because if they did, they would see in a heartbeat that they have been lied to all along by people they thought represented them.
Anyone who challenges these stereotypes or tries to get the truth out there is, as Sarah’s article the other day pointed out, attacked personally, called names, told to do research, etc. It’s quite ironic being told to do some research by someone who believes the overwhelming number of food stamp recipients are African American. If THEY would research, they’d see how wrong they are.
Rush plays to those who simply won’t face the fact that they are being played and are being taken. It’s all a hustle and they won’t realize they’re being hustled until it’s too late – like when THEIR benefits are taken away by the GOP.

Rush “let’s keep this a White Man’s World the way God intended” Limbaugh needs to do a better job of regulating the flow into and out of his “pie hole”. Whenever he opens his mouth, either mass quantities of apple pie are crammed in, or mass quantities of cow pie spew out.
Ever the bombastic, bellicose blowhard, Limbaugh has made a career out of spewing vitriol and promoting intolerance against every type of minority, uttering irrational, inflammatory statements on the air with a single purpose: improve his ratings among the right wing extremists by feeding their innate fear and hatred of our multi-racial POTUS and anyone that supports his policies.
This is what happens when you see the world through sh*t-colored glasses, an affliction facing Rush since he spends so much time with his head up his ass.

Rush Limbaugh is one of those goat-mouthed balloonMen who floats memes that won’t be acknowledged by their real sources until they start to go over big.

I have to ask. Why is the GOP so intent on pushing away every vote possible? Are they so sure of the election?

Obviously, Limbaugh can’t count either. The food stamp numbers are not state secrets. But just for the sake of argument, let us say he was correct. So what? Does he plan to buy every Black person a ticket to go live somewhere else? We need to remember, the man makes BIG bucks for being a fool. A person that believes a fool is also a fool who is NOT smart enough to get paid for it.

I beg to differ with you Jacqueline that “the man makes BIG bucks for being a fool.”
I say he makes big bucks to pander to fools.
Wait. How about we agree Limbaugh does both.

The man is a complete idiot. No one should listen to anything he has to say. His statements are not only inaccurate, he is a liar and really does not know what he is talking about. He was a failure in school, is a failure as a human being and is a joke and a clown much like Trump.

According to 2010 U.S. Census data, blacks comprise only 12% of the U.S. population, yet make up 26% of SNAP recipients….Comparing the percentage of blacks living in poverty (27%), to the percentage of black Americans (12%), it is clear that if African-Americans are oversubscribed to anything, it’s poverty.
~snip~
If one compares participation in the food stamp program to poverty levels, it appears white people are “oversubscribed” to the food stamp program, since less than 10% of white Americans are living in poverty, yet 49% of SNAP benefit recipients are white.
~snip~
Too often, we dismiss the problems of the poor by making sweeping generalizations from a safe distance – or make narrow judgments when we are forced to deal with the poor up close. Clearly, the increase in the food stamp program is a symptom of what ails the American economy – job loss and income inequality.Instead of accusing those who complain about income inequality of “income envy,” politicians should focus on putting the long-term unemployed – not to mention the never-employed – to work.

Rush Limbaugh is a worthless piece of human crap who makes big bucks pandering to other fools. There is nothing of any redeeming value that comes out of his humugous piehole, only racist, misogynistic, and xenophobic garbage. It’s a sad commentary on both him and the Republican party that he is their unofficial “leader,” whom they tiptoe around for fear of offending him. Like other folks in the GOP, he continuously makes ignorant and erroneous comments about food stamps and welfare, and who are the recipients. His remark that Willard was booed at the NAACP for being white is laughable, because they positively loved Joe Biden, who speaks to all Americans in the 99% group.
