Rush Limbaugh Is Outraged That The Obamas Are Living Like Entitled White People
By: Sarah JonesJan. 9th, 2012more from Sarah Jones
Wealthy elitist Rush Limbaugh is super mad that the Obamas are worming their way into living “high” on the “hog” like the white peeps. The nerve.
From the January 9 edition of Premiere Radio Networks’ The Rush Limbaugh Show courtesy of Media Matters:
“I believe that whatever drives Obama and his party is the pursuit of money without having to work for it… If you look at the way the Obamas live, with Michelle and her separate vacations and not being concerned about how much it costs to take separate airplanes – an opportunity to live high on the hog without having it cost them a dime. They justify it by saying well we deserve this, we’re owed this because of whatever happened to our ancestors.”
See, you’re supposed to get all outraged and justify that Obama doesn’t spend that much and that Michelle has her own responsibilities as First Lady (much of which centers on her supporting military families but we know that doesn’t count for Rush) and that the Obamas pay for their personal trips, but that would be buying into the frame that Obama should have to justify his spending to a drug addicted white man who dropped out of college. Please.
It’s best to laugh at the petty racism of the far right while they hold their sweat slick, corpulent hands out for freebies and justify the millions of dollars in bonuses their friends give to Wall Street failures. After all, Rush wishes he were as powerful and important as the glorious and haloed Barack Obama. Rush also wishes he had the figure to be photographed body surfing in Hawaii.
It hurts Rush to want something a black man with a superb education earned, so he has to pretend Obama is being uppity because that implies he didn’t earn it. Heck, Rush came out and said Obama wants stuff he didn’t earn because of his ancestors. Don’t tell Rush, but Obama is not a descendant of the enslaved Africans who built America with no thanks from the white boys who took charge from their privileged perch. Yes, see, there are some Africans who are also Americans, but are not African Americans. This detail surely will not make any sense to Rush anyway so it’s best not to burden him with it.
But poor Rush does have a point. Nouveau riche tackiness is best left to white boys like himself, whose vulgar taste rivals Donald Trump’s (see the $44 million Palm Beach compound). See, you can’t buy class, but when you push your way into the clubhouse, it’s best to keep everyone else out — that way, even when they realize you have no taste and your manners belie your position, there won’t be anyone to replace you with.
It’s so obvious that Rush is really just jealous and feeling protectionist toward his precarious and unearned status as an elite. He’s afraid someone will ask him one day, “Hey, how in the heck did an uneducated drug addict get to be a national icon of hate and run the Republican Party? What did you ever do to deserve such privilege?”
Rush should relax, as the answer is as obvious as it is replete with conservative values of working for your cash. Rush got there because he got lucky; his brand of idiotic hate matched up perfectly with Reagan’s repeal of the Fairness Doctrine and the two of them set out to destroy the Republican Party’s image as the party of ideas. Who else could do that so well, I ask you?
Now that Rush has arrived via the front door, he wants to slam the gates shut against anyone he doesn’t like, as a true American would. If only someone would knight him so he could take this to its full fruition. They knight uneducated drug addicts, don’t they? I mean, heck, nothing says “I earned this” like a title.
True conservatives (as opposed to those who make tons of money they don’t deserve by playing one on the radio) are outraged over this particular President spending any money because… you know… they care about frugality. Just look at George W Bush’s prudent use of money if you don’t believe me. No, not at Medicare D or the wars he left off of the budget. We all know bills are for Democrats. No, I mean his many, many vacation days, especially the ones he billed as working vacations. Gosh, how expensive would you say it was having an intellectually absent executive?
Way to stay relevant, Rush! Keep catering to the old, scared whites ‘cuz that’s a segment that keeps on growin’! Sure, the old man might be irrelevant, but isn’t he a great mascot for the modern day Republican Party? He is their base!

Do you think this is “garbage”, or know that it is? What if Rush is right, how well do you know the Obama’s? I hear some make negative comments about Limbaugh that have never listened to his program. So, you know Limbaugh well? What makes you sure that he is wrong ? Could it be because of something you heard somebody else say about him, or do you listen to him regularly. I am a conservative, however, I watch Rachel Maddow and Chris Mathews just to hear the other sides version of things.

Rush is simply practising the business of the “Public Relations of Racism”. Limbaugh’s wealth is generated by his aggresive marketing of his highly controversial racist comments. Every so often his home grown phrases and controversial racialist statements becomes stale and truly unattractive for his listeners. It is on these occasions that Rush is forced to go digging around in the toilet looking for some new material, the aroma of which will be sufficiently outrageous enough to assure that his huge paychecks will not be interrupted.

I think Rush is really concerned, he hasn’t even hit Media Matters attention lately. Could he be more irrelevant than he is right now?

Why doesn’t Rush complain about Sarah Palin living high of the horse on the people’s money? Speaking about the Palins, Todd endorsed Newt Gingrich. Sarah is still holding out to milk Fox News and others out of more money.

When Rush quit Southeast Missouri State College in the 70′s, (because no one would share a joint with him–true story; he wore his high school letter jacket around campus to “party”) he asked had to ask himself, “Education or Propaganda? Propaganda or Education? Ummm…”
That was his deepest moment of his entire life…and the rest is history.

I remember the first time I listened to him about 12 years ago, actually he was on tv and he was really working up the audience. I was totally disgusted when he made a disparaging remark about women and THE WOMEN IN THE AUDIENCE CLAPPED! Couldn’t believe it! Couldn’t understand it! This was before my political awakening and I could still see there was something wrong with his thinking. He had a lot to do with my waking up and paying more attention politically. I try to listen to him but I can only stomach a few minutes. Serious, he (and a few others like him) literally turn my stomach.

It’s interesting to see the Right scream and rage about entitlements, it reveals that the rich feel that they are somehow entitled to their uber-wealth, as though they are some sort of neo-royalty that deserves the riches of the world simply due to their (often) White bloodline. Well, there are guillotines to check that…

At some point, there needs to be a clarification, and law against, hate speech that is intended to create division. In Europe it is illegal to spread Nazi propaganda, we need some sort of system of accountability for the Right Wing media that is intent on perpetuating hatred, division and ultimately violence. The Right Wing is tearing apart this country for their own petty gain.

I would think something to the effect that if a news source reports something (scientifically and/or verifiably) known to be false, the individual reporting it would do jail time and the network would pay a big fine. If it cannot be verified or isn’t scientific, the reporter need to make that clear. If it’s really opinion, they must also make that clear.
Just the threat of such a law hanging over their heads would force the reporters and producers (also editors) to check anything stated. The law might even shut down Fox news, and they’d face not being able to legally broadcast as found in Canada.
(And if you’re referring to the individual I think you are, I’m getting really tired of his BS.)

This is another clear example of Limbaugh being out of touch with the real world. He doesn’t think certain people should have access to the finer things in life the way that he does, and this includes the majority of his listeners! I marvel at the people who continue to suck up his daily doses of hatred and bigotry because they don’t seem to realize that he has the same disdain for them that he does for those he disparages.

What’s more frightening than Rush Limbaugh, is all the people out there that are following and absorbing his hate speech. Some are disillusioned, some are struggling, some frustrated, some just narrow minded or bigoted, some racist, and some are mentally challenged and carry legal weapons. There should be laws against “hate” speech. It’s dangerous for the country. Rush and his show have helped in dividing this country when it had a chance at unity on the night of the 2008 election! We have to get back there in spirit and intention without the obstruction of the Tea Party and the rest of the GOP obstructionists hurting this country and its economy!

I love that Rush is so adept at advertising his own nasty self. He manages to be a walking, talking billboard of the depths one human’s greed, jealousy and need for self-aggrandizement will go to achieve their ends. He sort of epitomizes what can happen if you allow yourself to “walk with the devil” as it were. Let this be a lesson to you Hansel & Gretel this could happen to you should you allow wickedness into your heart. If he had only finished his education he might have been able to get his point across in a rational, well thought out way, instead of sounding like an angry, spoiled and frustrated 5 year old. (No offense to you 5 year olds out there.)

I’m surprised that every comment is the same, no comments from anyone with a differing opinion, and that instead of discussing actual facts and ideas, most comments are just name calling and slurs against another human being. As in, you are all doing exactly what you are accusing the “Right-wingers” of doing.
If you listen to the next sentences after what is printed in the article, Rush says the Republicans are exactly the same as the Obamas. That in his opinion, every politician is motivated by the desire to control money they didn’t earn.
I’m also surprised how many of you are willing to admit you have never actually listened to the broadcasts, but have formed your opinion based on other people’s interpretation of what he says. Interesting.

..Whatever.. I did listen to to the entire video…Yes he talks briefly about the Repub Congress..than goes totally into blaming the Liberals or Dems for this whole mess. If he had talked about this during the Bush Presidency..ot how Palin and Herman Cain had used the elections and the monies raided for campaining to advance their careers as authors..Cain was doing a book tour the same time as running his campaign..Never once did he mention it cost 4 billion for Geo W.Bush for vactions…Or did he mention that the Obama and family do pay for their own personal vacations. Security and transportation are paid for any Presidents trips for good reason…So Whatever if so called Journalistic Hate Heads like Rush would stop talking in half truths..people who comment might not be so cynical. So even for Rush to imply that President Obama is having a holiday or his so called lifestyle is his payback for being black is totally racial..Whatever…I would like to hear your comment on what Rush says about Obama’s lifestyle that is in anyway truthful.with facts please!!

Mr. Obama before he walked into the White House made money writing books and making speeches.
He won a Grammy for one of his books that became an audiobook.
What is a Harvard educated person suppose to do? Had he worked in a Wall Street law firm, he would have been accused of being an Afirmative Action lawyer, so he became a community organizer.

Blame Bush all you want, but Americans ARE NOT stupid. This economy belongs to Obama! U.S. debt now tops $15.23 trillion. That is more than all the goods and services our economy produces in a year! All previous Presidents up to and including President G W Bush only spent $6+ Trillion. 27 Members of Congress called on the U.S. Supreme Court to throw ObamaCare out if they find the individual mandate unconstitutional. Fidel Castro said a “robot” would make a better President than.
Although certainly not the only time Obama has committed “Treason Against The United States Constitution” his recent “recess appointments” while Congress was not in recess were definitely acts of “Treason Against The United States Constitution.” Does anyone understand the meaning of: trea-son (tre’zan) n. 1. Betrayal or breach of allegiance or of obedience toward one’s sovereign or government. 2. A breach of faith; treachery.
Obama’s stunning appointments of Richard Cordray to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and of 3 more bureaucrats to the National Labor Relations Board has been described by many observers as a serious blow to the Constitution and the separation of powers. Obama seems to have NO respect for the Constitution of the United States.
Obama was a Professor of Constitutional Law? Records please!
(actually a “Guest Lecturer” @ UC)!
Obama graduated from law school? Records please! Voluntarily relinquished License to Practice Law. Illinois Attorney Review & Disciplinary Commission. Same deal for Michelle. Why?
Obama recently instructed The State Department to purchase thousands of his books, “The Audacity of Hope” and “Dreams from My Father” using taxpayer dollars. Totaling over $70,000, these purchases were made without taxpayer consent and therefore unauthorized. I respectfully request that you request these to be returned, and the American people to be credited in full.
The “poor” have been voting for Democrats for 60+ years. Why are we still poor? Nancy Pelosi says she is “proud” Obama ignored the Constitution and ignored the Senate confirmation process. While she made over $250,000 last year on “Insider Trading” Rush is successful and wealthy because HE EARNED IT!

FactCheck is owned by the Annenberg Foundation which also funded The Chicago Annenberg Challenge, or CAC. The CAC was founded by Weatherman domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, who served as the group’s director. Ayers hired Obama to serve as president of the CAC board of directors from 1995 to 1999. He continued as a member of the board until 2002. But remember when asked about Ayers, Obama said he was just some guy who lived in the “Hood”.
Look in the Congressional Record and you will see that the Senate was not in Recess. The House had already informed the President that his nomination of Cordroy was still pending. I’m sure Bush & Reagan made recess appointments, but NOT when the “Advise & Consent of Corgress was still Pending. Even Harry Reed was shocked and out of the loop.
At this point Obama has spent money to get us out of the depression that your Bush left us.”
So why are we still in the worst economy in 75 years?
And if you did some research of your own instead of sucking up everything the Liberal Propaganda Machine cranks out, you would be informed. I spent 65 years in Chicago, know all about Obama and The Chicago Democratic Machine. As a group I have never seen such an uninformed and misinformed group as on this web site.
Obama’s Own Words…
On page 26 of his 1995 Autobiography, Dreams From My Father, Barack Obama admits to possessing a copy of his original birth certificate in the late 1970’s. This document was an official copy of an original vital record assumed to still be filed with the office of Vital Statistics in the city where Obama was born, wherever that is. Why does Obama not still possess this copy and where is the original used to produce it? Where is the official, original birth record used to produce the document which Obama himself admits to having more than thirty years before being issued a fake document from Hawaii?
The First Birthers… In 2007, the so called “Birther” conspiracy theory was first created by renegade members of an ultra leftist group known as the PUMAs. (That’s right! They were leftists).
A splinter group of hard-core Hillary Clinton supporters who did not want to surrender the Democrat party nomination to Obama after a hard fought campaign leading to the 2008 Democratic nomination. In June, 2008, PUMAParty.com began promoting the idea that their party’s nomination of Barack Obama could be overturned on constitutional grounds that he was not eligible to be president based on the fact that he may not be a natural born citizen.
Thus, the Birther movement actually began in the minds of liberals, not “right-wing nuts” as Obama zealots love to claim.

Sorry about your misunderstanding of factcheck.
You are still living on cliché.
Check the stock market. You lose again.
You know nothing of Obama, that’s obvious. You know what you are told.
I couldn’t care less about birthers. They are as wrong as you.
The only thing Obama broke was precedent as far as recess appointment. He did nothing against the constitution. He did nothing more than what other presidents have done.
Still boring.
“FactCheck.org is a project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania. The APPC was established by publisher and philanthropist Walter Annenberg to create a community of scholars within the University of Pennsylvania that would address public policy issues at the local, state and federal levels.”
The Chicago Annenberg Challenge has nothing to do with fact check. It was a sideline not connected to fact check. Fact check is not run by Ayers, Obama had no ideology sharing with Ayers except they were both Dems. Serving on the same board did not make them buddys.
You need to get off the cliches
BTW, you got the first birthers from Andrew Brietbart. Not valid.

It is really scary when you remember that he advocated a “poor tax” on the poor, in order to make them work harder. His argument: Have a severely regressive tax, so that the poor would work harder to get into a better income bracket.
The man has always argued for punishing the poor for their poverty.
