Sarah Palin Uses A Teleprompter to Blast Obama on Fox News Sunday
Fox Hypes Sarah Palin’s Sunday Talk Show Appearance But She’s Using Teleprompter
Fox News has been hyping Sarah Palin’s appearance on the Fox News Sunday Show, as if she had the guts to do a Sunday panel show like the rest of the candidates will. But of course, Sarah Palin repeated already debunked right wing Pinocchios as fed to her by her teleprompter.
As I wrote in when I first revealed the Sarah Palin teleprompter dependency in December of 2010, “At a Tea Party speech, Ms Palin mocked the President by saying, “This is about the people, and it’s bigger than any one king or queen of a Tea Party, and it’s a lot bigger than any charismatic guy with a teleprompter.” You must fill in the requisite sneer for full effect. The implication is that the President is a moron for using a teleprompter. This is made clear by the Right’s gleeful picking up of this meme and running with it at every turn, especially when they have nothing relevant over which to criticize the President.
…(during an episode of Sarah Palin’s Alaska) she was showing us her studio in the house she built next door to her home on Lake Lucille. Sarah and Todd were making a show of how it was just the two of them putting on her little show. And while she made cute and Todd told her her hair was above his pay grade, I saw the evil socialist machine staring me down, clear as day. So clear that I could read the logo. Yes, a teleprompter.”
You can watch her eyes move and her head tilt as she follows the script as it scrolls up and from side to side. Another big giveaway of using a teleprompter is the roll of the eyes when the script suddenly rolls ahead of you or you lose the line for a second, and you can see this repeatedly in her interview today. It takes time to master the art of the teleprompter, and you need to have a good teleprompter operator who is familiar with your speech pattern and can keep the script right at eye level for your entire read.
There’s nothing wrong with using a teleprompter, especially for an hour long news show that has to be timed to the second. But Sarah Palin is presenting herself as a presidential candidate, not a news anchor, and hence our expectations are different. We would like to think that she is capable of answering questions without having the answers fed to her.
Using a teleprompter to answer questions during an interview suggests that this Sunday “interview” might as well be a propaganda film. That’s right, she needed a teleprompter to discuss the economy and yet, she criticized Harvard constitutional lawyer and current President of the United States by saying, “What a President Palin would do…”
Let me tell you what a President Palin told us today: She is for the Ryan plan and she can’t answer questions without the answers being fed to her on a teleprompter.
That is all you need to know about “a President Palin”. All snipe, no solutions.
When Sarah Palin shows up on any other network’s Sunday shows and sits down without a teleprompter with the likes of Rachel Maddow and Charles Krauthammer to seriously engage in a debate about the current political issues of the day, then she can be taken seriously. Right now, she is everything she falsely accuses President Obama of being: Sarah Palin is a Wizard of Oz mirage, with the puppetmasters putting on a big political show for mainstream America. She puts on her far right patriarchal political Barbie costume complete with Anita Bryant hair and then repeats scripted words fed to her by a machine meant to enrage the far right and those gullible to take her seriously.
Unlike President Obama, Sarah Palin can’t discuss policy without a teleprompter. We saw Sarah Palin raw and unscripted in Katie Couric interviews and most recently, explaining to us how Paul Revere rode to warn the British. That is the real Sarah Palin. What you are seeing today is the mythical image of Sarah Palin; the one who can answer serious questions without saying that the Bush bailout was about healthcare reform.

YIPEE!
I called the teleprompter use during the FauxNoise show early this morning. Snowbilly Grifter has also had the “hand movement training” which was “off” during the “fake” interview by her co-worker, ChrisBoy, what a twerp.
Phoniness prevails, what an imbecile.

Here is Palin’s 12/10 WSJ Oped supporting Ryan’s Plan. She can’t get away from it. It is in her own words.

I tweeted that out a few weeks ago and her bots swarmed me and put out a troll alert. They were awful but they didn’t want this to get out because it is such an albatross.

I seriously doubt that the quitter wrote the WSJ article by herself… The first two paragraphs have words that are not monosyllabic… She does not go there except for slang! yabetcha !
As to Teleprompter use…She probably needed a spot for crib notes bigger than her palm!
The ghost writer was still in evidence!

I don’t believe she wrote them but I said “in her own words” because she claims these posts as her own and she ought to get stuck with the credit for the WSJ post.

And she will only go on Fox news. First Greta, then Hannity and now the Sunday show. Arn’t they tired of her yet on Fox? I have not watched either one but the other media picks her up from them, she is everywhere.
There is a pretty good piece on Huffpo about people people being made to believe lies. If she lies often enough and is exposed a lot people will start to believe her.

I have no idea why anyone bases their snark on the use of the Teleprompter- it’s a brand, BTW- because every politician uses them for speeches and statements. Every single one.
It is not some newfangled gizmo for the verbally inept, proof that if your pol uses one, he/she is an empty head.
It is TV 101.
Plus, the on air talent usually runs it themselves, to set their pace.
Therefore, carping about the President’s use of one is beyond hypocritical. Sarah Palin would stutter more than usual and resort to winks and tongue swipes if she were without one- witness answering a silly question about Paul Revere.
The time to worry is when your candidate verbally gaffes with the prompter!

I realized today when reading her op-ed in the WSJ about why she supports the Ryan plan, that she doesn’t write any of this stuff to start with. Will the Palin bots really be voting for Mansour or whatever her name is? The article in the WSJ is wayyy over her head.
I totally agree with Tservo’s post.

She did more than a dozen media interviews in 4 days in front of hundreds of people and if one would have followed them would have known she told the same thing about Afghanistan, Romney. She has talked about Ryan plan so many times, she has argued with BOR and almost enetered into a fight on this issue. She has told the same about Senator from Alaska. So she does not need the teleprompter for these issue is.
One need not like her or support her but research some thing about your issue/ subject before commenting on them for some objectivity.
There is no point. This is a piece based on pure guess work and speculation so expecting something else is foolish.

I watched her interviews. How many were national press? How many were planted press paid for by the PAC? Get back to me and we’ll talk about the differences between a media scrum question about the sights and policy questions. How many press lines have you seen where the local press ask tough follow up questions? Why were the “unfriendlies” relegated to the back and the preferred “friendly” media allowed near her? And what exactly are the qualifications for being a “friendly” and how does that work in a democracy?

Thanks first for responding and engaging. That is fairness and therfore, I should not have used the last line in my post. You also have right to have your views as I have mine which tilts in favor of Gov Palin. I have heard her so many times that I wont think she would need a telprompter for these questions.
What I saw from media coverage and reporting (I was not there and I do not have first hand information) she answered who ever approached her with a microphone. No preferred channel (except one interview in the bus with Greta of Fox) and answered every question asked. Choice was on the reporter to ask what question. At the airport in Arizona a camera crew who was present for some other story and caught up with her she answered their question. This is a link of CNN article on her engagement of media during the tour.
edition.cnn.com/2011/POLI...
What my main thrust was those who follow her have seen her commenting on these issues before and so there is nothing new for her to need a teleprompter.
Criticsm of her is ok. Many may not agree with her on no mandate policy at all level. Gov Romney does not agree. Her Afghanistan response was a first time departure from her Foreign policy stance which used to be more in line with McCain earlier. Some Republican’s may take issue with that. Absolutely no debt ceiling increase at this juncture may be a matter of debate.
But thanks for responding.
Regards.

Obama frequently talks without a teleprompter. But he uses one when he wants to. So does Sarah. She was setting in her studio answering pre-arranged questions. Wallace read them off his paper and she read them off the teleprompter.

Hi, many reporters said that there were preferred media outlets and others were pushed to the back. I saw that CNN link as well. I think it’s good that you are able to converse civilly, you are possibly the first Palin fan in the history of this website to do so under sustained dialogue, and I applaud you for it. She will need more fans like you if she’s going to succeed. I’m very familiar with Palin’s record, and that is what I base my writing on. It’s not about personality, it’s about facts and my own preference for the process of democracy over imperial rule, as she demonstrated in Wasilla. Her history of media blackouts goes that far back as well. She’s going to have to sit down without notes or a teleprompter, and without special rules (as she asked for and was given for the VP debates) if she wants to be taken seriously by the folks who aren’t already Palin fans. Lastly, Palin’s style of personal grievance politics just doesn’t go over well with me, and I urge anyone who supports any candidate to be open to sources of information other than the ones their chosen candidate endorses. That is the only way you can come to a decision that is truly informed. The statistics on Palin fans suggest that most are far right Christians, so they aren’t going to care about much other than the anti-choice issue – and that’s their right. That won’t be enough for the middle or even the moderate Republicans.

There’s no question she’s not what she seems.
In fact, it’s a little scary not ever really knowing what she’s up to.
So far, her strategy and tactics have been perfectly VILE, but they’ve also been shrewd and highly effective — at least as far as filling her bank account and getting her nonsense heard.

Oh Sarah of the skinny neck,
my brain recoils in what the heck
it is you say with such disdain
as if it was your sole refrain.
Oh Sarah of the heavy cross
about your neck, an albatross,
proclaiming Jeebus is your Lord
but only if he helps afford
your bus, your mansion, makeup too
and all the glamour in your do,
as cross the country you go ride
and all your secrets try to hide.
One day the sun will set on thee,
no one delighted more than me.
Your fade to blackness lingers near,
An end to hype, an end to fear.

I HATE her guts!! She is lying outright about Medicare and Ryans plan. I mean how stupid are the GOP. America has a serious health care crisis because of private for profit insurers! And they want to privatize Medicare. This plan would bankrupt anyone with health problems. I can’t believe she and the GOP lie to the American public like this and then have the nerve to say Obama is lying. This is sick. Truly sick.

Considering that since the presidency of her idol, Ronald Reagan, all presidents have used the teleprompter, the mocking of President Obama’s use of it is patently absurd. That mockery indicates that those doing it are grasping at straws in their efforts to discredit him. It is even more ridiculous coming from a woman known to read from notes written on her hand, and her continuous blasting of him comes from the sour grapes she’s been tasting since she and McCain lost in 2008.

The thing with palin is she has no ideas of her own,any thing the republicans come up with she whole heartedly endorses as if it were her own.Hence the endorsement of the Ryan plan and the plan to kill medicare and her endorsement of Scott Walker and on and on.Obviously she didn’t pen that WSJ article and her grasp of history is shaky at best. But until she stops being treated as a serious person we are stuck with her and her idiotic version of reality. She is no more deserving of press coverage then Donald Trump. And we all know where that led.

Palin did so well today that you’re accusing her of reading from a script like Obama. That’s hilarious. How would they anticipate Wallace’s questions? Read a transcript of her remarks, and you will see it follows her normal off-the-cuff speech patterns. She was well-prepared and articulate today. I’ll grant you that much. I can see why some ditz who thinks Palin is a ditz could be thrown off-balance. But, teleprompter? Uh, no.

Mr. Wallace’s questions were scripted and agreed to beforehand. She knew exactly what he was going to ask. And this is not the first time they have done that. All of her answers were on her Teleprompter and if you look close enough you could see the reflection of the Teleprompter in her eyes. As noted before, Palin showed her home studio on her Alaska propaganda show. Right there in front of everyone was a Teleprompter

Just a moment ago, I was watching the news, and they are going on and on about how this moron is sticking to her guns about her version of American history which has been proven wrong. I had to turn the channel in utter disgust, because this kind of thing gives her an undeserved dignity. It’s truly disgusting what the media has degenerated into when they push cretins like her on the rest of us.

Well the killer whale is being utilized by Ailes. She got scared with the I gotcha question and the response to her off the cuff “Midnite Ride of Paul Revere according to the moron Palin”, so she has agreed to give regurgitated responses by certified writers to pre arranged questions by Chris Wallace. Oh my, what a shill he is. Smarmy and smug to the smugger Palin. A cat who swallowed the victim canary supplied by Faux news.
What a disgusting hoax on her rather stupid viewers.
