Sarah Palin Claims The Media Is Biased Against Birthers
Sarah Palin popped up on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show where she lavished more love on Donald Trump. Palin claimed that Trump and all the birthers are being treated unfairly by the media.
Here is the video from Media Matters:
Sarah Palin was asked by Sean Hannity about Trump, birtherism, and the media, and she said, “Well first, I do have respect for Donald Trump and his candidness. I think people are craving that today in the world of political speak that we’re coming out the White House, and the confusing messages coming from our politicos. We appreciate that Donald Trump is so candid. Donald Trump is the one being really treated unfairly, I’d say though in the press, when they’re hammering him about the one issue that he has brought up, and not been shy about and that’s the birth certificate.”
The word salad continued, “He’s merely answering reporters’ questions about his view on the birth certificate, and then reporters turn that around and saying that all he’s got. He’s only running on a birth certificate issue, when that’s not the case. Donald Trump is running on the issue bottom line that President Obama is so far over his head. He has gotten us on a road to bankruptcy, and insolvency, and a less secure nation, and Trump and so many of us want to do something about that.”
It is hard to figure out who the bigger embarrassment is. Is it the media whore who uses the birthers for an extra 15 minutes of fame, or is it the jilted the media whore who has attached herself to the coattails of the new Republican Freak Show Flavor Of The Month in a desperate attempt to get back into the national spotlight?
In the world of Sarah Palin the two main issues that Trump and the Republicans are running on are, Obama is not a citizen, and if he is, he sucks. In Sarah Palin’s view, that is the entire 2012 GOP platform.
The media can be criticized for a million things, but not for standing up to Trump’s birther nonsense. The birthers and Trump have found what might quite possibly be the one issue that the media is not going to give Republicans a pass on, and despite the fact that a vast majority of Americans believe that Obama’s a citizen, the Republicans, with the exception of Mitt Romney are gearing up to make Obama’s birth certificate a meaningful issue in the 2012 campaign.
Think about this for a moment. Republicans don’t want to discuss jobs, the economy, healthcare, the deficit, entitlements, or even national security. No, they think that the big hot button issue in 2012 will be Obama’s birth certificate. Even for a political party that ran out of ideas before Ronald Reagan could finish his second inaugural address, this is a new low.
As bad as this is, it still isn’t as bad as Sarah Palin’s shameless Donald Trump bandwagon hopping. I guess this is what happens when a celebrity hits rock bottom, and for those of you who thought that Palin had hit rock bottom when she sent Rebecca Mansour out to tweet 140 characters of whine at the mainstream media for not covering her Wisconsin bomb, guess again. This is the real bottom.

“He has gotten us on a road to bankruptcy, and insolvency”
Sorry hun, Bush got us on that road. Its still with us.
Thjose tweets she sent out are really presidential. Begging for attention? If Obama is in over his head, just think of where the weak kneed sister who hated her job as governor named Sarah would be
Guess what Sarah, you know how the Gop and you have treated Obama? Guess what your life would be in the whitehouse. More than a living hell.

wouldn’t it be great if the republicans could find one intelligent person worthy of a discussion concerning the really important issues facing our country?

OK, I am still waiting to see Palin’s college degree, IQ score, her medical records, and yes, the birth certificate. After all, it’s our right to ask -she even said so.

I would like to mention, when talking about the national debt we must very frequently remind everybody that a huge part of it (with the interest rapidly multiplying and adding up) is the war debt. Yes sir – the war in Iraq was fought with borrowed money! Oil companies secured production sharing agreements in Iraq and will be profitting from the oil thereby obtained for decades. But who is going to pay off the war debt? If we’re really talking about “fiscal responsibility” then we must talk about who is going to help pay off the war debt. The war debt will not go away at the wave of a magic wand. Reducing social services to poor people will not make the war debt go away. The war debt has to be paid off. Who is going to help pay down the war debt? Republicans make it all about PBS and Planned Parenthood – peanuts compared to the war debt. Throw it in their faces without end Who is going to help pay down the war debt?

If you mean Trigs’ BC, I think it’s a little late for that. DNA is the answer. If you meant hers then never mind. ;-)

A chief characteristic of President Obama’s head that if in any given situation, he is “in” over that head, he is able rather quickly to think back up above the level. Sarah Palin by contrast reveals with her relentless assaults on English . . the only language she is able even to try to speak . . . that her mind is not capable of consistently logical analytical thinking. She wouldn’t know a hypothesis, an antithesis and a synthesis if they snuck up on her in a be-antlered moose costume and hoof-kicked her in her buttocks.

Actually, it all goes back to that campaign rally sign: “Keep the White House white”. They can’t call it that, though, so they invent all this other stuff on why the President was “born wrong”.
I am glad, though, that the media has enough “liberal bias” left to be biased against outright flaming lies, which Donald Trump was ferociously insistant on telling. I called an old friend from my psych ward days, and we made a tentative diagnosis of malignant narcissism with grandiose paranoia. Maybe that’s outdated, now – you know how fast the terminology changes. But I quite like the obsolete “megalomania” better. I mean him, of course, but why not her, too?

Sara is 100% correct. Trump has been treated unfairly.

You’re joking, aren’t you? Donald Trump is a fool who decided to get into the mix by pandering to the self-deluding birthers who refuse to accept the fact that any question they ever had about the president’s place of birth has already been settled. It’s just that the birthers are unable and unwilling to accept the truth that has been staring them in their faces from day one. Because of Trump’s insistence on beating this dead horse, along with some horribly offensive remarks that have insulted some segments of voters, he has forfeited any right to be respected. This is just another one of Palin’s transparent and equally pathetic efforts to be “relevant,” and I am not surprised that she is defending Trump since the same things have been accurately noted about her.

No, that’s right. Trump was treated unfairly. He was treated as if he were able to form a cogent position, when he should have been treated as if he rode the short bus to school.

The birth matter has long been settled by the (Republican) governor of Hawaii. Trump and Palin are being treated the way anyone trying to take up expensive air time should be treated–like braying jackasses.

Is “candidness” a word? I think the better word would have been “candor”. I think the citizen from Alaska really enjoys corrupting the English language.

Another interesting opportunity for the Mrs P followers to compare her spoken words to her ‘written’ words. Most of them think she is writing her own screeches yet don’t notice how unable she is to fashion a paragraph or two off the cuff. That’s where the real $carah appears. Perhaps those on her writing staff should be the ones ‘thinkin about runnin’ for high office as it becomes more and more apparent that they are the only filament holding her image together. She has the audacity to say the President is in over his head while promoting herself or the Donald. Laughable if it weren’t so outlandish and bizarre.

This is ridiculous. Why is it that the media will continue to talk about Obama’s birth certificate but will not talk about or properly investigate the hoax that Sarah Palin played on the people of this country by adopting a Downs Syndrome baby to bring the far right tightly into her corner? She should never have come close to the Vice Presidency for a million other reasons and would not have without her passel of lies.
