No Sarah Palin, Celebrities Are Not Trying to Kill Your Children
By: Sarah JonesJul. 4th, 2011more from Sarah Jones
Last week we took an internet poll asking, “Are celebrities really trying to kill Sarah Palin’s children or is she crazy?” after Sarah Palin told The Hollywood Reporter, “What would make a celebrity, like you saw on screen, so hate someone that they’d seek their destruction, their death, the death of their children? What would make someone be so full of hate and, I guess, a sense of being threatened that they would want to see that person destroyed?”
The celebrities she’s referring to are Matt Damon, David Letterman, Madonna, Howard Stern, Bill Maher, Louis C.K. and others. Naturally, I found it interesting that the person who put crosshairs on her political opponents, one of whom was shot in the head and is still trying to recover the ability to communicate, would tell a reporter that celebrities were trying to kill her and her children. This smacked of projection to me, because the only thing she has to back this up is the angry rhetoric or jokes these folks have engaged in — and if heated political rhetoric is now seeking the death of someone, then shouldn’t Sarah Palin be in jail?
“Don’t retreat, reload!”
When Palin first put her crosshairs up and even Elizabeth Hasselbeck was outraged, Sarah Palin took to Facebook to write:
“In the battle, set your sights on next season’s targets! From the shot across the bow – the first second’s tip-off – your leaders will be in the enemy’s crosshairs, so you must execute strong defensive tactics. You won’t win only playing defense, so get on offense! The crossfire is intense, so penetrate through enemy territory by bombing through the press, and use your strong weapons – your Big Guns – to drive to the hole. Shoot with accuracy; aim high and remember it takes blood, sweat and tears to win.
Focus on the goal and fight for it. If the gate is closed, go over the fence. If the fence is too high, pole vault in. If that doesn’t work, parachute in. If the other side tries to push back, your attitude should be “go for it.” Get in their faces and argue with them. Every possession is a battle; you’ll only win the war if you’ve picked your battles wisely. No matter how tough it gets, never retreat, instead RELOAD!”
Did she feel remorse when a sick young man took up a gun and shot into a crowd of people, aiming for Democratic Representative Gabby Giffords? After those tragic gunshots and the loss of so many lives, Sarah Palin gave us her Blood Libel video where she could not contain herself from attacking all of us who were upset about her rhetoric. So steeped in self-pity was she, that even middle America was repulsed. Down plunged her polls.
Jason Easley covered the blood libel video, wherein Palin defended violent rhetoric by saying, “Vigorous and spirited public debates during elections are among our most cherished traditions. And after the election, we shake hands and get back to work, and often both sides find common ground back in D.C. and elsewhere. If you don’t like a person’s vision for the country, you’re free to debate that vision. If you don’t like their ideas, you’re free to propose better ideas. But, especially within hours of a tragedy unfolding, journalists and pundits should not manufacture a blood libel that serves only to incite the very hatred and violence they purport to condemn. That is reprehensible.”
No proof was ever forthcoming of the “violence” allegedly incited by pointing Palin’s crosshairs over Gifford’s district. We are left with the contradictory notion that vigorous and spirited debate includes putting crosshairs on political opponents and screaming “Reload!’ over and over again — but it does NOT include comedians saying they wish Sarah Palin would shut up, or denouncing her rhetoric as hate speech, or saying that she should go away. I guess we’re all supposed to sit numbly in front of the TV while Palin hisses hate and we are actually supposed to like her, even though she has spent the majority of her time denouncing all of us who do not agree with her as not being from “Real America” and telling her supporters to stop Americans who have an Obama sticker on their car and confront them. This then happened to a man driving his young daughter home. Only the person didn’t just stop the guy, he rammed his car into the man’s vehicle first, driving it up onto a driveway from the street and then sped off like a coward.
Palin urged her supporters to stop the next Suburu with an Obama sticker in a speech, “That bumper sticker that maybe you’ll see on the next Subaru driving by — an Obama bumper sticker — you should stop the driver and say, “So how is that hopey, changey thing working out for ya?” That man had his young daughter in his car when his vehicle was rammed repeatedly by an enraged driver. In court affadavits as reported by Palingates, the bumper sticker is mentioned as the reason for the road rage:
“On 3-25-10 Harry Weisiger pulled up behind Mark Duren’s Toyota Camry at a stop sign. He blew his horn at Duren to get his attention. He then began to point at Duren’s OBAMA/BIDEN bumper sticker. He then began to stick up the middle finger of both of his hands to Duren. When Duren left the stop sign, Weisiger rushed up to him and began to bump his vehicle into Duren’s Camry. Weisiger then used his Vehicle to push Duren’s Camry into a driveway located at 2539 Blair Blvd. There was proprety (sic) damage to both vehicles and Defendant left the scene without stopping.”
And remember when her spokesperson blamed “depraved liberals” for the press asking if Palin’s crosshairs might have had anything to do with the Arizona shootings?
“Rebecca works for Governor Palin’s SarahPAC and while she joins me personally and not on behalf of the PAC, she does address the shocking effort by depraved liberals to somehow blame Governor Palin for today’s atrocity.”
Gosh, that will help the heated political environment and the national mourning over a horrific tragedy. We can always count on the Palin camp to not only lack compassion but also to make things worse.
And when people get sick of Palin’s ugliness, she blame celebrities for their reactions to her. Six months later, as Palin is rebranding herself as the Second Coming of Joan of Arc, she tells THR that celebrities are seeking her death and the death of her children. Um, is that heated rhetoric? Do you suppose some of her fans believe this? Yes, they do. When I asked one of the writers at her fansite C4P for proof of celebrities who want to kill Palin, he sent me a link to a comedian saying yes he hated Palin, blah blah. That is quite a stretch, especially coming from people who defended Palin’s crosshairs and “Reload!” Apparently it’s OK for Sarah Palin, but if anyone reacts to her incendiary, degrading and violent rhetoric with anger, Sarah Palin et Entrouage are outraged.
So we wondered just who is buying this latest scatter shot into the political wilderness? Are celebrities trying to kill Sarah Palin’s children? Here are the results of the poll:
Out of 975 votes, 66% (644 votes) said “No, Sarah Palin is crazy.”
Coming in at second place, 18% (171) voted for “No, Sarah Palin is projecting again” (meaning, she wants to kill other people). 15% (147) voted for “Sarah who?” And bringing up the rear at 1% with 13 votes is “Of course, Lamestream Media baby!”
So the majority think Sarah Palin is crazy or projecting, with 15% wishing they had never heard of her, and only 1% believe that celebrities are really trying to kill Sarah Palin’s children. Um….who are you?
Sarah Palin breeds rage not because she is a “Christian”, but rather because in her wake trails pain, anger and division. And rather than ever try to meet people in the middle, tamp down her rhetoric or just be a grown up, in response to any perceived criticism, she turns the cultists on her enemies with the precision of a master hater.
According to our highly unscientific (as all internet polls are) poll, the majority think Sarah Palin is crazy and or projecting. Judging from Palin’s approval numbers, this poll seems right on. Sarah Palin told us that she is not to blame for the actions of a mad man back in January. Here we are in July, and Palin is at it again, whipping up violence against political opponents by accusing them with not a shred of evidence of wanting to kill her and her children.
While most of us aren’t listening anymore, there are a a few hundred thousand rabid followers who are. And they believe her.

And the craziness gets crazier—-she has no clue how the majority are laughing at her and as long as she keeps talking, she is destroying any chance she may have had to hold any political office.

She was a republican now a bagger or whatever seems to fit her at the time! Which makes her a liar, a distortion revisionist,a quitter, a user, delusional, and to be pitied!
But more important..to be ignored–a has-been !

She’s taken her martyrdom complex about as far as she can go without actually arranging her own murder. Nothing would surprise me at this point.

Sarah -
I believe I read a comment on an article on Malia Litman’s blog that Palin has sent out another request for money in preparation for “the announcement”. Jeez. I sure hope she does not run. I am so sick of her, her family, her followers, the lies, the BS, the hate they all project. It is too much.
I voted on your poll when you originally addressed this issue where she claims others want her/her family dead. I truly do think she is crazy. Whatever the heck crazy is.
Thank you for the wonderful work you do. I check in each day to see what you have written. My three favorite sites are Politicususa, Malia Litman and the Immoral Minority.

Crazy is what palin sees in the mirrop.I too am very tired of this hateful dreadful woman. She needs to go away or be put away.I remember a statement she made after the Arizona shootings that Lougner was a”possible liberal”.Her buddy Beck said that violence would be coming from the left and through it all it has come from the right and I fear there is more to come.As long as these idiots have free reign to voice whatever pops into their shallow little minds we must remain vigilant.

Funny thing is I always thought she is destroying her own family. I don’t remember any celebrity wishing her dead. On the other hand quitter Palin uses her hate by getting her supporters to do her dirty work. She is so worthless she can’t even do the job herself because really deep down she is all talk and a chicken. She is like the high school girl that starts a rumor and stands back and watches the fireworks.

Never her own life, no. She’d be more likely to have one of her more inconvenient children/grandchildren snuffed, preferably shot in her arms, and then she can really play the martyr and point her finger at evil Hollywood libruls.

That’s frightening, but possible in a psychological form of that (as opposed to physical). I can’t recall the number of times SP has accused OP of wanting to rape or threatening to rape her daughters, but it’s very disturbing and consistent. Some of our readers might be able to fill in on the details- I can think of 3 specific cases, plus the odd sexual overtones of her charges against McGinniss and Letterman and now Bristol is accusing Levi of it (lost her virginity while she was too drunk to remember?).

Something of the kind seems a natural response to the implication that her incitement led to the murder of Christina Taylor Green. Hard case of DARVO, you know.

Palin is nut pure and simple. She is a hateful person, and I think her own party would like to see her go away. Remember Barbara Bush’s comment awhile back? She’s not going to run for anything yet. However, I think deep down this clown has even more contempt for the GOP than she has for the the Dems or the media. She’s jealous of Bachmann, who oddly enough has shot into second place right behind Romney. All of the candidates so far seem to be doing okay without her ignorant rants attached to their names. Knowing her shallow disposition and her vengeful nature if she could ruin somebody’s success by cutting in front like like some spoiled 7 year old and stealing the limelight if for no other reason than just attention grabbing antics that have come to define her, she will run. She won’t get anywhere and she knows it but if she could mess up someone else’s success (wingnut Bachmann’s) she’d do it. She’s just that hateful.

Palin getting into the race will just scorch Bachmann. Will be very funny.
Someone said Palin wants more money for the “announcement”? How much does it cost Palin to grab a mic and lie?

Does anybody know just how many (deranged, delusional) followers she actually has? Is it likely/probable that there are enough of them to encourage the eventual Republican nominee to consider her as a running mate?
And the same question could be asked about Batsh*t-crazy Bachmann.
Oh brother! What has the U.S. come to?

Her fans on Facebook have proven their craziness with the estimation that Palin has AT LEAST 60 to 70 MILLION followers! The stories they tell are so full of absolute b.s. in regards to Palin’s accomplishments. They’re still talking about the pipeline as if it is in the process of being built. They have all their emotions invested in her running for President. When seeing their comments about Palin’s alleged “honesty, integrity and ability”, then you know you’re reading the rants of the truly delusional. They are going to go off the deep end when Obama is re-elected.
As for the actual number of Palin followers, I look at the poll numbers but also FB and the number of books she has sold, taking note of the fact that the second book sold approximately 1/4 the amount of the first despite her PAC, Newsmax and other RW organizations buying them in bulk as they did with the first book. The book tour for the second book was also a disappointment when compared to the first. We know her approval rating was continuing to drop but I still thought that her fans would come out to see the woman who they thought would be President in a couple years.
The biggest clue as to the diminishing number of follower was the lack of turnout in Pella for her “movie premiere” and the book signing in MN the next day. She and Bristol signed a whopping 700 books and in order to get $arah’s signature, you had to buy Bristol’s book. I thought Palin was against regulations?! She’s got the same people posting on one site and then another with the same talking points and phrases being used repeatedly. I think 2 to 3 million is generous at this point although I’m sure the RWNJ’s are estimating at least ten times that amount just as they do with the Teabaggers. Keep dreaming, the election will be all the proof we’ll need.

If you read any of the comments on C4P it’s like entering a crazy mirror world, where up is down, black is white, and Palin is the next POTUS. Her followers there are worshipful, absolutely venerating her like a saint, and they are completely, totally, 110% sure she’s going to run and she’s going to win! I’ve been drawn like a moth to a flame to that site, first out of curiosity, and now morbid fascination. They’ve almost got me believing she has a shot at the GOP nomination. According to their beliefs, it’s not a shot she has, it’s predestined from above. Scary.

I had no idea what C4P stood for, so I looked it up. You are right, these people are rabid for their support of Sarah Palin. And they will do anything and everything to push for their idol. This blogger Kelly really believes that Sarah will win not only the primary but the presidency.
Since her movie is not doing too well, they believe it is their duty to push the movie under all circumstances. This C4P site is horrible, I really do not want to go there any more.

And I really wish I would stay away! Some of those poor people are donating money to SarahPac when they can ill afford it, and paying $100 for the dvd of her worshipful film, erroneously titled “The Undefeated.” I do read their comments, then come here, and to other liberal sites, such as Dailykos, to get my mind right again. The world at C4P (Conservatives4Palin) is really a make-believe world, but they scare me because their fervor is reminscent of the adoration received by Adolf Hitler. It can happen here!

One of many quotable quotes from “The Ref”…. always makes me think of Palin and/or Beck:
“You know what I’m going to get you next Christmas, Mom? A big wooden cross, so that every time you feel unappreciated for your sacrifices, you can climb on up and nail yourself to it.”

I had never been to C4P before a few minutes ago. The people there really do think this person is capable of winning the presidency. I would pity them but, they go out of their way to rationalize her actions. Like Joseph Goebbels said; “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it…”

It’s fairly obvious where the neo-con and radical right get their philosophical inspiration. Jared’s quote of Goebbels fits quite nicely with Hermann Goring’s thoughts at the Nuremberg trial,
“….Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”
Some proof that Mrs P might have read something after all??

I also responded to the poll, indicating that I think she’s crazy. I also think she was projecting, but her craziness overshadows everything else about her. She is a hot mess of a human being, who refuses to accept the fact that most Americans reject her. And all of it is her own doing, with her professional victimization and her putting her own kids out there when people call her on her ignorance, hatred, and fear-mongering.

My touch screen wasn’t responsive when I tried to answer the poll, but I’d say projecting. Classic DARVO: Deny, Accuse, Reverse Victim and Offender.
