I’m certainly voting blue. I was proud to vote blue in 2008 and still proud. Obama has waded through more than any human being should and is still standing, against the tide of hate, against the kindergarden we call the House of Representatives, against the “disappointment” of Dems in the Senate who haven’t exactly had his back, against the right’s media voice that drowns out any other opinions but its own, against the decay of world finance that our own Wallstreet had a hand in starting, against the monthly job news, and even against himself and his own personal doubts. Still he soldiers on and if I really respect him for it.

With Republicans it isn’t about logic, it’s about emotion. Keeping people stirred up and angry and voting emotionally is how the right gets ordinarily discerning individuals to vote enmass against their own interests.

But it isn’t like every individual doesn’t have access to a diverse amount of information enough to gain the more complete picture beyond their little bit of knowledge. Sad really, how many main street Americans simply stick to the sources that keep their personally held opinions validated, meanwhile actively working to invalidate the opinions of their fellow citizens. This is the means by which to gain some sense of superiority feeling they are on the winning team “fighting” against an imaginary enemy.

It’s a misconception that because the right boasts patriotic songs and stands on the pretense of religion if not the actual practice, and is against in public what too many of them are for in private, they are the winning team. The Republican methods of government haven’t saved the day on any issues I can recall. One must overlook a great deal of evidence that being a stanch Republican makes one a winner. It mainly just makes a few rich and the rest duped, with God as their figurehead and money as their lord.

It a great achievement for all all Americans, especially those who are struggling without jobs and insurance. What in the world don’t the Repubilcan party members see? They need to wake up and serve the people who sent them there, but not for the chosen few. In which world do they live? They seem to have lost their minds even going as far as thinking of appealing to the ruling, just because they did not get their way, wow!! I hope there are no poor people living in the States they represent. The Dems and President were elected by the people, for the people, and of the people. They care about all American people.

fired up here too- just remeber the POTUS is only the key part, we need to take back the house and hold the senate, all this while fighting voter suppresion, and probably being outspent in all races.. it’s a can do, but its a heavy lift, i’m ready
