On Fox News Don Imus Calls Katie Couric a Rodent

Don Imus was on Fox News today hyping his new Fox Business show, and as he and Neil Cavuto were discussing Sarah Palin Imus said, “She should have had enough sense to know she wasn’t ready for primetime…to sit down and not be able to get through an interview with that little rodent over at CBS, Katie Couric is absurd.”

Fox News and the Destruction of American Political Discourse

While nothing stops this quite so well as shedding the light of day on the ugly attitudes of the far right, it seems increasingly that outlets like Fox News would prefer to sugar-coat this conduct (including ignoring the conduct of head cheerleader Glenn Beck) – and instead refer to this as simply ‘angry citizens’ protesting the President’s plans. What can be done to finally cause organizations like Fox News to finally expose these people as both ignorant, and dangerous?

Fox News Tells Viewers that Longer Bills Are More Expensive

If you have ever wondered why some people on the right don’t understand basic facts, I give you the fine example of Carl Cameron on Fox News, who today held up the Baucus bill in front of the camera called it huge, and said, “because of that so too could the price be huge.” Cameron’s dubious point was that you can always tell the cost of legislation based on the size of the bill.

Rick Sanchez Rips Fox News for Coaching 9/12 Protesters

CNN’s Rick Sanchez has really sunk his teeth into Fox News’ role in the 9/12 protest in Washington, DC. Sanchez took FNC to task for a producer that encouraged the crowd to cheer during one of their live reports. Sanchez said, “Real news organizations are not supposed to stage events. Nor should they promote news events. Nor should they hype news events.”

Before Joining Fox News, Glenn Beck Supported Federal Bailouts

Here is a real non shocker. Before Glenn Beck joined Fox News he not only supported the $700 billion bailout of Wall Street, but also called on the government to spend even more. On September 22, 2008 on CNN Beck said, “But these are anything but normal times. I thought about it an awful lot this weekend, and while it takes everything in me to say this, I think the bailout is the right thing do.”

CNN’s Rick Sanchez Blasts the Lies of Fox News

On CNN today Rick Sanchez blasted Fox News today for running a full page ad in some of the biggest newspapers in the country that claimed that the other news networks did not cover 9/12 protests. Republicans Accuse Democrats of Demonizing Joe Wilson

On the Sunday talk shows today, Republicans Newt Gingrich, Sen. Cornyn (R-TX), and Bill Kristol all ran to the defense of Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC). Cornyn said, “The Democrats have done a pretty consistent job of trying to demonize the people who show up at town halls, anyone who disagrees with their proposal.” Apparently the GOP sees nothing wrong with calling the president a liar.

Olbermann Mocks Glenn Beck’s Communist Buildings

On his MSNBC show Countdown tonight, host Keith Olbermann, in a parody of Glenn Beck’s communism in Rockefeller Plaza segment, exposed Beck and Fox News’ own communism, by revealing that Glenn Beck works at the Fox News building, which is also a part of Rockefeller Center. Thus Beck and FNC are also communists. Check out the video.

Art World Pimp Slaps The Debut of Glenn Beck: Art Critic

Fox News’ Glenn Beck has managed to make some new enemies, or at least he considers them enemies, this time in the art world. Last night on his show Beck tried to play art critic, to demonstrate to the communistic and fascist messages in the art on display in Rockefeller Plaza. The art world responded by pimp slapping Beck’s ignorance. Check out Beck, and the reaction to his interpretations.

Beck Claims that Obama is Indoctrinating America’s Kids

On his radio show today, Glenn Beck labeled President Obama’s back to school speech for children next week indoctrination. Beck said, “They are capturing your kids. As Van Jones himself has said, the earlier we get the kids, the earlier we make this adjustment with the youth, the easier this transition is going to be.” Of course, Beck took Jones out of context.

Dick and Liz Cheney Tag Team the Constitution

After the Obama administration announced an investigation into the CIA’s interrogation tactics, both Dick and Liz Cheney returned to the Sunday morning talk shows. On ABC’s This Week Liz Cheney continued to claim that waterboarding is not torture, while over on Fox News Sunday, Dick Cheney continued to endorse torture.

Verizon Wireless Stops Advertising on Glenn Beck

According to Credo Action, Verizon Wireless has become the latest advertiser to dump Glenn Beck. In an email, the group confirmed that the nation’s largest wireless telecommunications network has stopped advertising on Beck’s Fox News program. Even a week of vacation has not completely slowed the steam of the Beck advertiser defections.

Bill O’Reilly Starts a Feud with Jon Stewart

On his FNC show The O’Reilly Factor last night, host Bill O’Reilly went after Jon Stewart when The Daily Show host used a segment Wednesday night to illustrate FNC’s ever changing opinion of protesters to make the claim that FNC has gone liberal. This joke set O’Reilly on the attack as he went on to claim that Stewart was playing to his liberal audience.

Seven other companies joined the retail giant, including Best Buy and CVS have stopped advertising on Beck’s program. This now means that 20 advertisers have left Glenn Beck since he called Obama a racist.

Glenn Beck Loses 4 More Advertisers

The group ColorofChange.org has announced that four more advertisers have pledged to pull their ads from Glenn Beck’s Fox News Channel program. Glenn Beck gets too radical for Advertisers

If Fox News and Glenn Beck were wondering how far he could take his radical right wing routine, they got their answer as three major advertisers have deserted Beck’s program after he called President Obama a racist. Progressive Insurance, Procter & Gamble, and Lawyers.com have all dropped Beck. Since the TV business runs on ad money, will this impact Beck’s show?

Glenn Beck Tries to Scare Whites by Labeling Obama a Racist

Glenn Beck showed up on FNC’s Fox and Friends today to declare that President Barack Obama is a guy who has exposed himself as a guy who has a deep seated hatred for white people and white culture. Beck said, “I am not saying he doesn’t like white people…I believe this guy is a racist.” In the end, this is just more race based politics from Beck, FNC, and the GOP.

Beck: Healthcare Reform Would Allow People to Sue Doritos

On his FNC show yesterday, Glenn Beck made the claim that Obama’s goal is to create a new America to settle old racial scores. Beck focused on the Office of Minority Health. He said, “Let’s say minorities eat more Doritos, so it there’s more heart disease. Wouldn’t this lead to more lawsuits and litigation against Doritos?” Beck is worried about Doritos instead of healthcare, enough said.

Beware! Glenn Beck is Armed at the Movies

Beck went into his love of guns and said, “I went to the movie this weekend with a gun. And surprise, surprise, I didn’t kill anybody!”

Fox News Pushes Obama Stimulus Conspiracy Theory

Fox News has hopped on the latest right wing conspiracy theory that congressional districts that supported Barack Obama are getting more federal stimulus money that those that supported McCain. Fox News’ Stuart Varney opened his piece with, “It’s not who you know, but who you voted for…” Of course, FNC ignored the obvious explanation for the imbalance.
