Warren says he canceled his planned forum with Obama and Romney because of incivility but the real reason was neither man was interested
Warren says he canceled his planned forum with Obama and Romney because of incivility but the real reason was neither man was interested
Every Republican who opposed infusing federal money into the economy, or obstructed President Obama’s jobs plans, knew they were stunting the economy and killing jobs.
Obama campaign spokesperson Stephanie Cutter defended Vice President Biden from Republican attacks about his competency by calling Sarah Palin mentally incompetent.
The White House has silenced John McCain’s calls for Obama to dump Biden by reminding him of who he picked to be his running mate in 2008.
Mitt Romney’s selection of Paul Ryan is 19 points less popular than John McCain’s selection of Sarah Palin in 2008, 58%-39%.
The 2012 GOP convention will be headlined by the least popular nominee in 28 years, but the RNC is also filling their speaking slots with many more unpopular Republicans.
Michele Bachmann’s anti-Muslim witch-hunt has backfired, drawing condemnation from fellow Republicans and mockery from the Muslim Brotherhood
John McCain has indirectly accused his fellow Republicans of using Citizens United to get foreign money into their campaign to defeat President Obama.
Women are not sitting idly by hoping the Republican assault will subside, and the GOP is going to pay in the general election.
If you haven’t seen ‘Game Change’ yet, it’s a must see movie, and not because it’s about Sarah Palin, but because it’s about what she represents: The cynical, dangerous, decaying state of the Republican Party.
It’s coming…….. Game Change, the movie is heading your way on March 10th at 9PM on HBO. Did you read the book? If you missed it, this movie will be a bit of a shocker for you. Game Change was written by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann about the McCain campaign in 2008. Mark Halperin…
Newt Gingrich is taking McCain’s approach in an effort to set himself apart from the “establishment”, laughably calling himself an outsider
When a New Jersey veteran committed suicide after serving in Iraq, Rep. Rush Holt (D-NJ) tried to do something about it, only to see his bill killed by John McCain.
Republicans will not address the START treaty because it is a top foreign policy priority of the Obama Administration. Unfortunately, without a means of accounting for every last nuclear device in the Russian arsenal, it is a very real possibility that a rogue nation or terror group can acquire and detonate a nuclear device in an American city. For humanity, that would be a disaster of epic proportion, but for Republicans, it will be a reason to blame the Obama Administration for allowing an attack on America. Perhaps that is their real goal; a mushroom cloud over a major American city.
People like Sen. John McCain will always find bigots like himself who object to gays existing, much less serving in the military. A couple of days ago McCain came up with another objection, he said he and 41 of his Republican colleagues would block repeal because the economy is sputtering. He really said it and he was serious. He’s also a raging bigot who cannot escape the biblical foundation of hate he espouses.
While appearing on CNN’s State of the Union, Sen. John McCain continued to carry 2012 water for Sarah Palin by actually comparing her to former president Ronald Reagan. McCain said, “I think that anybody who has the visibility that Sarah has is obviously going to have some divisiveness. I remember that a guy named Ronald Reagan used to be viewed by some as divisive.”
Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) was discussing the latest conflict between North and South Korea on CNN’s State of the Union today, when he returned to the neo-con siren song of regime change, “I think it’s time we — yes. I think it’s time we talked about regime change in North Korea, and I do not mean military action.” Of course, McCain really means military action. How else could the most isolated regime in the world be removed?
John McCain is a war hero, and advocates permanent wars regardless the cost in lives and drain on the economy. He also knows that allowing gays to serve in the military is wrong, regardless that a majority of Americans, the Pentagon, and service members support repealing DADT. McCain also doesn’t want an end to the war in Afghanistan because he has gross memory loss regarding the Iraq war.
One of the fascinating things about John McCain’s reelection campaign is not only has he sold out and moved further to the right, but he has adopted the political persona of his 2008 running mate, Sarah Palin. McCain, like Palin, has abandoned his reputation for bipartisanship, his former positions and values, and is now plain pandering to an angry GOP base. In short, McCain has been Palinized.
Ironically, in 2006, all of the players you now see polarized had agreed to an immigration reform bill co-sponsored by Democrat Ted Kennedy and Republican John McCain. Said bill is now way too sane for McCain to put his name to, as he is busy selling his soul to the radical right and taking his friend Lindsey Graham down with him. Anything to keep his seat. Country First. Yada yada.
How desperate is John McCain to hold off primary challenger J.D. Hayworth and hang on to his Senate seat? On Fox News Sunday today McCain denied that he ever was a maverick. Now McCain claims that he is not a maverick, but, “what I was saying was that I have considered myself a person who’s a fighter.” It is so mavericky to deny ever being a maverick.
Even though the far right is trying their best to unseat John McCain, the Republican establishment continues to line up behind him, as today Jeb Bush endorsed McCain over his primary challenger J.D. Hayworth. Bush said, “John is a proven conservative leader committed to reducing taxes, fighting wasteful spending and keeping America safe.” McCain is calling in lots of favoring and showing why the tea party movement has little chance of overthrowing the GOP establishment.
Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) was on NBC’s Meet the Press today and things got a little uncomfortable for him when moderator David Gregory asked McCain if he thought President Obama’s agenda was socialist. McCain would only say that, “this administration is governing from the left.” McCain would not label Obama a socialist.
John McCain was on Fox News Sunday today where he criticized President Obama for giving himself a first year grade last week. McCain said, “I don’t — presidents I know usually don’t grade themselves. Usually they let the people grade them.” Do you think McCain is still a little bitter?
Wesley Clark was on Face the Nation today, and he took aim at the idea that McCain’s Vietnam War experience makes him more qualified to be president. “He has been a voice on the Senate Armed Services Committee. And he has traveled all over the world. But he hasn’t held executive responsibility.
