The candidates have done everything to shift all attention to the conservatives in the party and leave the moderate and liberal elements of the Republican Party behind. In other words they are doing their best to alienate themselves from their own party and to embed themselves with the most radical parts of it. Conservatism by itself cannot really country. We Democrats get angry at some of our own party but yet recognize that we have liberals, moderates, and conservatives within the party. While we have disagreement, we also have balance. There is no balance in the conservative party.

I think Republicans are confused. I think there are Republicans who do not go want to go out on the radical limb that their candidates are taking them onto. those people face a challenge. Vote for religious freaks, a man who will tell you anything he wants you to hear and who thinks he is Julius Caesar or vote for someone who is so much richer than you that you can’t imagine it. Our country is led by rich people and so far that isn’t doing us any good.
